So anyone willing to risk it with me by picking Chelsea as the winners in regards to their match against Manchester city. Supposedly it was last season, i won't have had the courage to do this but this season, Manchester city are under performing (already lost three games in just 12 games played) meanwhile Lampard is performing above expectation. Currently Chelsea are the only team in the league with 5 straight wins in the last 5 games.

The odds are against Chelsea but it isn't an impossible task to achieve. We aren't going to Etihad to defend but to attack. Defending hasn't been our straight this season so the best chance we have is by scoring as much goals as possible them to try to defend the goals. In my opinion, this match would be full of goals atleast 5 goals. Prediction: Chelsea 3:2 Manchester city.
I also expect and backing Chelsea to win this match against their opponent today Man City had been under performing so far this season I want Chelsea to capitalize on their opponent lack of form to defeat them so to avenge their pouncing and bashing of 6-0 last season I believe this is a pay back time for Chelsea which is very possible, they should just attack from the first minute of the game knowing that Man City defense is very porous due to injuries suffered by some of their key defenders I also expect a lot of goals in the match.

I believe that Spurs is going to win tomorrow. You know, new manager effect usually works in such games. Though  West Ham away isn't easiest opponent. Can't wait to see game.
But I think that pressure under Mou shouldn't be big this season. Because it's not his picked squad and they already lost much this season. Reaching Europa league zone in EPL and 1/4 final in CL is best what they can achieve this season. Usually Mourinho have best results on 2nd season. And then being sacked on third season Cheesy.
I've never been fan of Mourinho, but I missed him in EPL.

It could be different this time around tho.  Mou formed a new coachng staff supposedly with 'fresh ideas'.  His new second in command is some coach from Lille.  They say he's good...  So let's see.

For the past few weeks, I haven't been locking my pick so I can't see others. But I just have to ask, how have your heart been performing so far in regards to giving you results for the pool? Thinking of returning to following my heart and not basing my prediction on previous records. The last two times I followed my heart, it give me the cap twice lol. Been over cautious lately is just costly me points. That's why I'm sticking to my pick.

For the MOU match, initially I went for a draw but after picking other outcomes for the rest matches I noticed, i got so many draw matches then retured to give Sheffield United the advantage since I was debating between a win or draw in that game. But if your mou meant Mourinho, he's definitely what Tottenham needs right now because they need trophies and Pochettino wasn't delivery in that aspect. He blew the only chance they had against liverpool (champions league finals).

The table doesn't lie: My heart's picks have overall led me to lose more points than gaining.

Sure, I can be the only guy getting 3 points when everybody gets none. But more often that not, I get 1.5 or 1 point, but then everyone else more than makes up for it by getting 1/1.5 when results, more often than not, goes the way of bookies.

I would say the format of 1/1.5/3 points doesn't quite reward you to make bold predictions. But that's superbru, so I don't mind, I still like gunning for the weekly consolations!

But it has led to me winning good money in betting, so I'm happy, I still see this pool as a sort of hedge, and you just never know those crazy picks could actually lead me to win the actual Superbru prize HAHA.

Anyway, I am not changing my picks, but I am betting on a pretty huge parlay of away wins, including Mourinho, who always gets his first win with a new team!

@cryptofrka: Lovely read and you know what? I'm always the guy who believes in hard work. And that's what you got to love about Liverpool. This is a team of talents for sure, but it was all brought out of hard work! I always saw myself in them a little;)

Look at Klopp getting quoted: “Boys, boys, boys!” he says, “We are not the best team in the world. Now you know that. Maybe they are! Who cares? Who cares! We can still beat the best team in the world. Let’s go again.”

Fan-bloody-tastic!

@DeathAngel lols yeah my favourite memory is of him charging down City defenders, them panicking and passing all the way back to Edersen. I guess it's everyone's fav but man!

Roberston’s a machine, he never usually misses a match. A true Scottish warrior, like Braveheart Cheesy
When I see Robertson I think of Mel Gibson dressed in warrior paint.

Did you read his column on myplayerstribune? It is truly awesome, he is a fantastic person and I'm so happy he ended up at this Liverpool side.

Here it is, it's really powerful. Enjoy Smiley

I pretty much wrote something very similar the other day in some topic. That is just how Mourinho performs. At least you know what you will get when you hire him. I also believe Spurs could get a win tomorrow. It is about time they win a game and manager change could be the thing to wake them up from slumber. They didn't forget how to play the game Smiley

Good news coming from Liverpool as both Salah and Robertson trained and Henderson is back from illness. I think that will give additional boost to the team and although I don't like games like these (I'd rather play Arsenal than Palace) I think a Liverpool win is most probable.

@hilarious It's musical chairs for the gaffers at EPL, and I don't envy them at all. I'm just glad we have a couple more years at least before we wonder if Klopp will stay on, he has dropped hints several times he wants a sabbatical. But on to the games, will Pool drop points? For sure this season, for sure, but I hope not in this game! I got a big parlay waiting for a victory at Palace and then against Napoli =)

I'm picking a slim Sheffield win against United. They've lost their main defence thanks to bookings but I wonder if the second stringers won't relish a physical battle?

Well, my friend, if you'd seen my picks, then you know I'm always playing with my heart and not my brain. Been pretty good betting wise, since I bet on long odds, but in general my predictions have been ultra shite. Anyway, you 3:2 is probably about right. MY prediction, which isn't locked in yet, is 2-0 to Chelski.

No pressure for Chelski, but I hope Tammy finds his nerve as he can't score against the big boys, but I'm counting on Pulisic to emerge in the big games. Remember it was Kante who pulled the strings in last season's victory!

I am one of the few Spurs supporters in my group of people so you all understand me when I feel a bit down with the happenings. I understand everybody who believes Mou is the right choice to win titles and trophies,,, I guess I also understand it is tempting to buy a guarantee of wins.

But we could have done just the same with our beloved Poch if we gave him money. Which ironically is what we will give to Mourinho.

Have you guys done with your picks? After having a good round in the last one I am really enthusiastic with picks this round as well. Hopefully it will go well 🤪

It's at West Ham so they won't have an easy game but a first game loss for Mou won't look good.
Losing tomorrow wouldn't be end of the world, the guy just took the job 3 days ago, surely that's not a enough time for the players to adapt to a new system, news tactics and gameplan.

So anyone willing to risk it with me by picking Chelsea as the winners in regards to their match against Manchester city.
They've been pretty good lately, even though there's still A LOT of work to do in the defence, but the times I've seen Chelsea play against tough opponents, they'be been pretty underwhelming. Ajax, Valencia, Liverpool, they've all exposed Chelsea's biggest weaknesses and I expect City to do the same unless Lampard takes a more denfensive approach, going with a offensive plan against City is suicide if you ask me.

Same question here.  But some rumors say that Poch has become aloof and distant from his squad.  Who knows what's really going on with him...  Maybe he really wants the United job and wanted to get himself sacked (perfect timing too).  Grin
After all thing turned out good for him I guess 😉

Very bold pick but then again talking about this Chelsea team and the attack City will be able to provide, I think it is possible. However, I did not dare to pick Chelsea though 🤣

I think my pick was 2 - 1 for City and if I proved wrong then I won't mind. Even a draw will be okay for me.

The only match I have predicted to draw this week is Aston Villa vs Newcastle. It maybe daring pick but as soon as I read that fixture, my instinct got me to go for draw.

Draw picks are always high risky. Either you hit the jackpot (very less comes up with draw and you become the lucky one) or you do not get any point in the pool LOL

Life, Love and Laughter...
Levy's mistake was not giving Poch the budget to freshen the squad up with new players.  Most of the key players at Tottenham have been with Poch for 5 years or so...  They have given everything for manager and club but what did they get in return?  Lower wages, no trophies.

They have nothing more to give.

I doubt Mou is going to change this and I doubt he'll be given much to spend either, but if he is, why couldn't they have given the money to Poch? I guess I'll watch the opening Spurs game this week to see how they fair. It's at West Ham so they won't have an easy game but a first game loss for Mou won't look good.

I do not have any doubt that Liverpool is not going to win. They will win easily and my prediction is 1 - 3 win for Liverpool. It will be interesting to see if they conceive the first goal. The entire team will then go with all attack 🤪

Also the bookies will have some good odds for Liverpool then 🤣

I will wait for an in play chance before I bet in this match right now they have an odd of only 1.46

I think Chelsea will beat Man City this matchday. I am going for 2-3 in favor of Chelsea. However, KDB performed exceptionally well in international break. Man City's only chance is if he could turn the match.

I am not sure Chelsea can make it. Their performance not stable. Every week they were playing different. Off course, this match will be different than others but still not sure Chelsea can win. Draw would be best results for them.

It is true that Manchester City will not miss the points of this match and City also take over to 2nd place, playing at home will be even more excited for City in front of its fans, I only predict that my bet tomorrow 2-1 in this match will be very fierce.

At last PL is back! A very decent matchday, I would say. Only one big game to be played this week. Gonna watch only Man City vs Chelsea fixture this week.

I gone for two draws this week and one of them is Sheff vs Man Utd.
Utd is disappointing in this season and I have lost so many picks just because I was picking them as winners.
The other one is Bournemouth vs Wolves. I was tempted to pick Wolves as a winner but I think this will be very tight match and Bournemouth will be able to steal a point from this match.

The only match I have predicted to draw this week is Aston Villa vs Newcastle. It maybe daring pick but as soon as I read that fixture, my instinct got me to go for draw.

So anyone willing to risk it with me by picking Chelsea as the winners in regards to their match against Manchester city.

Anyone think City or Liverpool could drop points this week? I'm not sure I'd predict them to, but I don't think either game will be easy for them and Chelsea are on a bit of a run recently.
