Looks like you got your win? I was so tempted to bet on Arsenal but seeing them lose recently just made me stay away too, which is too bad because they were 3.5 odds to win.

The weeks are getting lower and lower I think in terms of total points won, with 2 games left even if I get max 6 points, it is only 16 points. Just so tough to catch up, but I'm glad I can get back to climbing the ladder. So much to make up for when I left for holidays. Anyone think it is worth it to predict a Fulham draw?

Betting exactly as I'm predicting today, for a change. Liverpool only a meagre 1.22 so used it to pad up a Wolves/Newcastle parlay to bring it to a fat 5.8 odds. Avoided betting on the other big uns as just want to enjoy them, hopefully we'll see some people slip. Arsenal Chelsea of course means someone has to stumble.

City dominated with a 3-0 win, as you say. Wolves got Boly sent off in the 20th minute - which was a bit harsh considering the challenge - and it was over from then. Possession was 77% to 23%, shots were 24 to 3. The second goal was a penalty and the third was an unlucky headed own goal from a De Bruyne cross. Standard City stuff, but you didn't miss much by not tuning in to be honest. Perhaps the best bit of the game was Ederson getting bored with Wolves' zero shots on target and deciding to play center back for a while - https://streamable.com/na4c8.

Alright, I missed the Liverpool, and Man City games. So, anyone willing to pitch in with their verdict? I know Liverpool only won by 1-0, and that was a penalty, but did they deserve it? Should they have won by more? Man City won pretty convincingly, and I'm sure it was utter domination from their part. Although, I think there was a own goal if I'm not mistaken?

Bah, humbug. I have been improving over the past few weeks, but never enough to break into the big spots. Didn't change my prediction for Chelsea luckily, but should have taken the hedge bet on United... they probably just about deserved to win, De Gea was back to his best, and for once his defence didn't concede a goal. A draw would probably have been the result doing justice to Spurs but it's always these kinds of games they choke up on. Strange that United's never been poorer, and yet Spurs chose this game to lose.

Saw this too late as would have taken it of course! Liverpool's just closed the game (thank our stars for the penalty, but fully deserved Salah's always so difficult to shepherd out in the box) so unfair to take the bet now when City's yet to play their game. He REALLY should have got the second goal though, when Milner somehow saved the ball from going out... defender and keeper going wrong way but Salah's bump just flew shy of post. 3 points. 1 game down. Played badly but at least we were trying. Go Reds!

I'm quite in a bad week with predictions so far. Arsenal's loss caught me out of my bets too. Tempted to switch to a Newcastle upset, but Chelsea at Stamford is a Bridge too far for me.

Thank you for the kind words and support. I personally think this thread and forum are more interesting with all the pool discussions. And if you notice, the discussions in the pool thread are of higher quality than the actual discussion thread. I guess mainly because there are those who post there who probably never ever put bets on the game. Different when you have money riding.

Tomorrow's game is the pick of the week, and I'm predicting a Spurs win, because this is United's first real test. I'm still the neutral in this league, so I want top 3 to be tight, and City to maybe even fight for 3rd!

@buwaytress - I read that when everybody else is in the FA Cup 4th round Jurgen will take the team abroad for warm weather training. We have 1 game a week for a while now, it’s how Leicester won the title the other season with a full week of training between every game. Things are looking good but we simply must win today.

Edit - Warm weather training will be in Dubai (whilst everybody else is in the FA Cup playing in the cold)

Trying not to look at the next 5 fixtures, but yes, they all look winnable, and I'm glad we already got Arsenal and City out of the way. Spurs are still dangerous, and we're always vulnerable to Chelsea, plus United are traditionally difficult, but if I go down the list as well, everyone else can be a thorn. Everton, even bottom team Huddersfield.

@LFC: I do wish we were still in FA Cup, but yeah, I'd give anything away to have the whole team at peak for the remainder of the season... and we have still a good chance at CL against Bayern.

@slaman: I have done well even when doing random picks, sometimes it really is about luck. Just never forget your picks and you'll do fine.
