Yeah, that Zaha goal got me another exact prediction. Up another three places so far this week. To think I was 20-something-th two weeks ago, and now I'm only three points behind first.

^  How did you know?  Teach us.  Grin

I really thought Palace was gonna drop more points that game, with or without Zaha...

Anyway congrats.  I wish I followed you on that bet, and that crazy one Wendigo did that had no chance of getting 3/3, but it did.  Lmao.

Not that confident about the remaining three games from this round. Could go any way. No exiting matches either.

Anyone think Palace will beat Huddersfield? Skybet's enhanced accumulator is Chelsea, Arsenal & Crystal Palace @ 7/1 which I usually put them on, but I'm not so sure about Palace away. I'll need to wait and see if Zaha is playing or not because if he isn't I don't think they'll win. More likely a draw probably.

Looks like you were on the ball with Wilfried as he scored the sole goal and winner. 7/1 would have been a really nice bet, I got just over 4/1 on Arsenal and Liverpool and that went well, even if the scores was a tad too close for comfort.

Chelsea take top spot with Eden Hazard's hattrick taking them 1 better on goal difference, but City again lead the score leaderboards just 5 games in.

I'm going to have to take a real hard look at my scores again. The regular winners keep popping up, the Big 6 are pretty consistent after all, just not worth losing all those points in the hope an upset gives me 3 or even 1.5.

Superbru showed only 53% of players picked a United win, and the way Watford laid siege in the end, a draw might have been a fair result.

May god bless Zaha  Cheesy. Did pretty shit on the predictor and dropped nine places but at least I won £120 on that price boost. SkyBet had an offer of free SkySports for a month as well if you bet £25 as well so that's a nice bonus.

Liverpool are looking strong. They haven't even hit top gear, and they are still getting results. Yeah, Tottenham were missing some key players, and didn't play too well themselves, but they had the majority of the possession in the first half, and then they conceded that goal, and that was pretty much it. A pity Liverpool conceded though. I thought they deserved the clean sheet.

Watford have impressed early this season. I think United might of been a bit lucky at the end there.

Really bad results so far for me this week with only Arsenal correct score and a few other 1 points, so about 6 points  so far. I am sure it is not bad but I am also sure 99% of the users did better than me for this week so far. I had Watford 2-2 and they could have put that in if they were a bit more calm before the net.

Yeah its away, but I think if Liverpool can find the right gear they'll see away with Tottenham. I'm going with a very bold win for Liverpool. Tottenham will likely get goals themselves, but I've actually gone for a clean sheet for Liverpool.

I'm not sure. I think the Huddersfield, and Palace game will end up in a draw. Although, if Palace are going to win Zaha will be vital for them.

Looks like I wasn't the only one favouring a bold win for the Reds - to be honest, I don't think we played at top gear but we still had plenty of chances. I think Mane could have easily fed Salah on one chance to the right, but he probably wanted Keita to get on the scoresheet and chose him... the resulting shot was (weakly) saved by Vorm.

Still, I'm happy for any kind of win. Well done to the 11 of you who predicted 2-1! I was just telling my kid I've never seen a Liverpool defence so tight since Houllier days... and then jinxed the team a minute later with the corner and goal.

Finally one late goal which went towards me getting the correct score:)

As expected on Liverpool matches this was entertaining to watch. Lpool could have put few more goals into the net if they had a bit more composure in the final touches.

A question for all you long time Lpool supporters do you remember when was the last time Lpool started the Premier League with 5 straigt wins?

I don't think ever. I remember reading before the international break that the last time Liverpool had 4 straight wins was in 1990, just before Premier League. So 5 straight ones must go even farther back. That it's against Spurs makes it quite sweet... but we have Southampton, Chelsea and City up next!

Oh and Liverpool's finishing ratio has gone down under Klopp... and Salah always has a low goal to chances rate... his philosophy is just to create as many chances as possible. So actually high shot ratio is typical of Pool lately.

3 more points for Liverpool & 3 more points for me in our pool because I had - Spurs 1-2 Liverpool.

Happy days!

Amen, brother! And the way even Milner, Trent, playing with tricks and flicks, enjoying themselves with backs so close to goal... no yellow cards is a bonus. Just sort of wish Trent had his yellow now so he'd miss next game... rather than miss the Chelsea game.

Checking in with another exact prediction over here  Wink

Honestly though, Spurs were a bit of a shambles at the back. Can't help but feel Lloris would have saved the first. Also, watch the defending in the second (https://streamable.com/kqvoo). Trippier gives Mane so much space, and Vertonghen prevents the save to set up the goal.

I don't follow Spurs much, but why doesn't Lamela start for them more often? I remember a few seasons back he did well for them, and was a regular starter. Him, and Lucas were the only stand out Spurs players for me. Harry Kane was practically invisible. I think the scoreline flattered Spurs if anything. Yeah, they had the most possession, but they did nothing with it. Liverpool at least threatened most of the time. I think Mane, and Salah were a little too greedy at times today, and if they looked to pass it might of been a few more scores in Vorms net.

Meh.
I wanted to predict my games early in the morning but I had a massive headache so I woke up late. I went to the Superbru site and started making my predictions quickly, I was 100% that I picked 1-2 Liverpool. I went to watch the game and was pretty happy that I predicted the correct score...only to find out minutes later that I actually didn't pick the score for the match...fuck LOL

Btw, two weeks ago, @unyil was in the bottom of the league if i'm not mistaken, now unyil is the current leader, congrats!

Awh man that sucks :/.. I've been down and out with flu the last couple of days as well but luckily (I noticed when the game started) I made my predictions a week ago, lol.

And yep, nothing is said and done until the last game. It's been very up and down for everyone in these opening rounds which is great Smiley

from my post in the Premier League Prediction Thread:

"Fun fact: this is the third time that Liverpool has started a league with 5 wins in a row. First time was in '79, they won the league that year, and then in '91, they finished 2nd in the league table."

Ffs Vorm.  I take it back.  I don't know what I saw in him at Swansea.  This is a goal keeper who can't even make the first 11 squad of the Man City B team.

Half time now, where Spurs have ball possession but we can look at statistics because I also can't watching. Liverpool is able to create more goal attempts and shots on goal despite losing ball possession. I was actually sure Liverpool would win this match, but instead I was wrong again by picking a draw score of 1-1. The match isn't over yet, let's wait until the final whistle sounds and hopefully it will be 1-1 or a draw. Grin

Kinda poor by Vorm there.  It's prolly the lack of play time.  And it's sad to see him basically sell out and stop playing to be a back up.  He's too good just to be that imo.

Really hard to say for me. It's away for Liverpool remember, but Spurs are still playing at Wembley so not exactly like it's their true home turf either but they did play there all last year obviously. Don't think I have the guts to back Liverpool so I'll probably stick with a draw as Spurs aren't going to be easy either for Liverpool.

Too late for me to change it now, but I went with 1-1 in the end. Liverpool just scored for 0-1 so I've still got a chance here and it's now half time. Not watching it so can't comment on how the game is going though.

I'm not sure. I think the Huddersfield, and Palace game will end up in a draw. Although, if Palace are going to win Zaha will be vital for them.

I'm really not sure about it either, but I'll wait for the line-ups to be announced before I decide. If I do play it though I'll probably put a couple of back up bets on the draw or maybe even Huddersfield win to at least recoup my money.
