I'm not sure. I think the Huddersfield, and Palace game will end up in a draw. Although, if Palace are going to win Zaha will be vital for them.
Looks like I wasn't the only one favouring a bold win for the Reds - to be honest, I don't think we played at top gear but we still had plenty of chances. I think Mane could have easily fed Salah on one chance to the right, but he probably wanted Keita to get on the scoresheet and chose him... the resulting shot was (weakly) saved by Vorm.
Still, I'm happy for any kind of win. Well done to the 11 of you who predicted 2-1! I was just telling my kid I've never seen a Liverpool defence so tight since Houllier days... and then jinxed the team a minute later with the corner and goal.
As expected on Liverpool matches this was entertaining to watch. Lpool could have put few more goals into the net if they had a bit more composure in the final touches.
A question for all you long time Lpool supporters do you remember when was the last time Lpool started the Premier League with 5 straigt wins?
I don't think ever. I remember reading before the international break that the last time Liverpool had 4 straight wins was in 1990, just before Premier League. So 5 straight ones must go even farther back. That it's against Spurs makes it quite sweet... but we have Southampton, Chelsea and City up next!
Oh and Liverpool's finishing ratio has gone down under Klopp... and Salah always has a low goal to chances rate... his philosophy is just to create as many chances as possible. So actually high shot ratio is typical of Pool lately.
Happy days!
Amen, brother! And the way even Milner, Trent, playing with tricks and flicks, enjoying themselves with backs so close to goal... no yellow cards is a bonus. Just sort of wish Trent had his yellow now so he'd miss next game... rather than miss the Chelsea game.
