It is not luck, it is knowledge. For years I have had best results when betting on Champions league matches and tennis. This few pools I am participating only confirmed it for me. I have best results in CL pool, Mediocre in Premier League and this week I managed to get 0 points on predicting National League games.

Now I only need to find strength to stop betting on all the things I know I am not good at. That being said I have a nice ticket for this evening matches which will probably push me further into red.

I’ll probably mess around with mine before the weekend too. I didn’t lock them so always a chance to change predictions.

If you could make a bunch of wild 6-0 predictions that would be great. Give me a chance to catch up with you.

I'm going to wait until Friday night/Saturday morning to do my predictions. Every time I do it days in advance and spend time looking at previous results, goals, injuries, tactics, news, etc. I seem to do worse than when I just go on pure gut feeling.

Yeah, these international breaks always ruin the flow of the season, and undoubtedly your best player is going to get injured in the 90th minute of a game they are already winning by 3 goals. Especially, close to the winter fixtures where everything is just crammed in.  

Its the opposite for rugby for me. I much prefer the internationals, and rarely keep up with club rugby.

I also hate breaks for national football (especially friendlies) but it is more because of betting factor. I always lose money on national teams and I simply have to bet something. It seems I will never learn 

Anyway, this break is a little better then usual. Croatia has two nice games in this window vs. England and Spain. 2 wins and we are top of the group. Doesn't look good at the moment though.

International football sucks man. The PL season starts in August, we are now in November and is this the THIRD international break? Seriously what’s the point, utterly ridiculous. WTF am I going to do for 2 weeks now, man?

Well, we've got a break until Saturday 24th now due to the super-unexciting international break, so you've got a bit of time to get settled down and caught up on everything. No doubt a bunch more injuries during the international break just to screw with my fantasy football team.

Lots of low scores this week with ridiculous results like Chelsea drawing, Arsenal drawing and Cardiff winning, but I've done worse than most, only being 1 point above wooden spoon territory. I was yellow capped just a few weeks ago. I wonder where I've gone wrong, haha.

Yeah,I'm not giving up, and will continue to put my predictions in. Hopefully, with a bit more consistency from now on! I should have more time on my hands, but these last few days have been a bit crazy getting back to normal from my trip. I did manage to catch the Liverpool game, and I'm still a little worried.

With the situation they are in with the champions League they'll need to come up big against psg. I don't know what to think really they are grinding out points really well, but what Liverpool have become to be known for in recent years is exciting football. Who h at the moment they aren't living up too. I can't comment on the Arsenal game as I heard that was open ended stuff, but couldn't watch it myself.

I don't know. We saw glimpses of quality yesterday. For example girmino and Salah linking up that once which was pure filth, but nothing came of it, and maybe Salah should of done better. Shaquirirs finish was very nicely taken though.

Well, I'm neutral towards Liverpool, but I guess anti towards City. To be fair I enjoy how City is playing at most times but I guess I'm put off by some of the players like Sterling who made a fuss of leaving Liverpool and the latest Mahrez who made a fuss of leaving Leicester City. Not that I'm against any guy wanting to play football at a different club, but you didn't see guys like Milner who joined Liverpool from City making a fuss and being unprofessional.

So yeah maybe it is ranting but anyway, Liverpool should be happy with the results of Sunday. Chelsea dropped points, Arsenal dropped points and their rival United lost. Don't worry about Liverpool dropping points. City will also do the same. I just hope Liverpool can beat United later, and also please beat City when you meet them. I also have good hopes of Spurs somehow winning, but they are scraping by on victories and if Kane goes off, they can't score.

But yes, if we are realistic. It looks like another City title. Just like you said, I just wish teams don't let them win so easily. Why do they get so scared when you can see City's defence is actually so nervous?

This is my 3rd time winning yellow cap (plus sharing same points as yellow cap on week 1), again I got lucky with picking 2 good draws, all my top weeks were because of exact draws. I think the season is reaching a point where draws are desirable by both teams, but then again, this is all about luck. Who can predict 0-0 Chelsea draws?

Think I’m back on top as I got City 3-1 United right. BitSat went top before that though. It’s very, very close at the top of our pool.

As for the Liverpool game I thought we were comfortable especially in the 2nd half. Fulham showed nothing in the 2nd half & it was a matter of damage limitation.

City are looking very, very good. We’re in 2nd & only 2 points behind but I don’t see how we can win this title really. We can beat City in one off games as we showed last season but it seems all the other teams pull down their pants for City & bend over. City are a winning machine & they won’t drop many points.

OK, I'm as Red as it comes but the scoreline was still kind to Fulham. Yes, if we had VAR, the goal would probably have been given to Fulham but at 1-1, we would still have cut them to shreds, if not for our forwards still somehow unable to get themselves out of 2nd gear. I'm sticking to my guns though. We're playing at perhaps 60-70% of last season's sharpness and intensity, and this is now our best ever total after 12 games in the Premier League era, so I am not the least bit worried.

@LFC: Enjoy your day in. Don't worry about it, always a bad week for every player, you're still top I think? But I can't seem to view Leaderboard anymore because it keeps just showing me weekly results instead of the usual total score for everyone. And there's like a new system for scoring in place? Like no more Correct/Close/Exact, now you get bonus points if you got the closes prediction of the pool? Anyone else got that screen?

@Welsh. Trust me, with 26 weeks to go, there's plenty of reason to keep playing. I've got 2 wooden spoons and >30 points off the pace for a prize spot but I've now seen people climb 8 places in a week, and others drop the same. Plus remember... we've got those lovely bonus prizes to play for!

Yeah I’m still pissed off about that Red Star shit show. I’ve had a lie in today, just about to get out of bed which feels glorious I must say.

Prediction - Liverpool 3-0 Fulham

Well, I'm hoping that Liverpool got the kick up the arse that they needed against Red Star. Just like when Dejan got rinsed against Tottenham they seemed to kick start their season. I'm hoping that's the case, but honestly they've just been grinding out results, and I don't see them clicking all of a sudden. I think seeing Man City in such good form is a little demoralizing for the guys too.

In before Chelsea & Liverpool draw, City lose to United. Not impossible, not unheard of. Haha.

Same here. Best result for me was the Spurs win which got me 1.5 pts, still, this could be my worst weekend (I'm out of the top 5 D:  ). I kinda knew I was gonna have a bad day in the pool when freaking Cardiff scored a late goal to make it 2-1 (I predicted 1-1).

Hopefully, Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool, and Arsenal, win their respective games tomorrow since I predicted a win for them (please, EPL gods, I don't want any upsets).
