Even though Liverpool didn't play to their standards they still defended pretty decently if we don't count the mistake by Alison. The thing is they haven't hit top gear yet, and they are still taking all 3 points. When that front 3 start to hit it off with Keita feeding them they will be scary good.

Hopefully! I’m in my early 30’s & was too young to remember the last time we (Liverpool) won the title. My Dad lived through and saw us win everything.

I am a Spurs fan here so in fact even if I was much older I would not really recall a time when my team won things regularly,,, and also I would have always had watched games late. In my country, we did not get to see live matches except for when the program Road to Wembley would come on and we could watch FA cup live and it used to be also really late so you had to watch TV with the sound low. So I notice many of my colleagues who support English teams we only grow up reading the old football magazines from our fathers but we love hearing stories from the older people about the teams. Too bad I hear so few stories about Spurs but I would love to have stories to tell people about them one day;)

But liverpool in the first four matches at EPL has not met or fought a big team, we can see in the following week I think liverpool has difficulty dividing focus on whether to focus more on EPL or at UCL, because there will only be a little time to break in next week and to play at UCL against the big teams also in every competition, if liverpool can perform consistently then it is likely that liverpool will be a strong candidate to win the EPL championship this season.
True, but crystal palace, and Leicester City have always been a bit of a bogey team for them. They haven't exactly gone up against teams which aren't capable of beating them. Whereas Man Utd, and Man City have already dropped points against lesser sides.

This year Liverpool is the strongest contestant to the title fight to Man.City and any other team maybe in for the long title fight. The fact that Liverpool conceded only a single goal during the first 4 matches of the EPL, it is a big clue that they may be will win the title this year if they can keep up this pace during all this long EPL season.

^  Yup I think so too.  I mean Pep is a good manager, but sometimes tiki taka football gets a little bland at times.  Sometimes the direct approach is more entertaining to watch imo.

Absolutely. Salah/Firmino/Mane were scary enough last season, but Mane seems to have stepped it up a notch and Keita is a phenomenal addition. It will be between Liverpool and Man City for 1st and 2nd in the league.
Yeah, I'm keeping my eye on them this season as I've made a bet for them to win the league with a few friends of mine. Mane always seems to perform the best when the others aren't quite hitting top form. I think so too. Man City hasn't been that impressive so far to be honest, and it seems all the teams are taking a little while to kick into gear. Liverpool have a brutal fixture list coming up soon though.

Didn't manage to keep up my great streak yesterday due to some wild results, but still got my first yellow hat and ended up moving up 12 places in the leaderboard. So pretty happy all round.

Everyone in the league was wrong (0 points) on the Tottenham game, except marboro who exactly predicted 2-1 Watford. Wild. I wonder what odds you would have to got on that pre-kickoff. 6/1?

I am quite disappointed with my predictions so far. I climbed up a few spaces last week but then I dropped again and now still below 20th position. Not enough to predict two exact scores for Manchester City and Fulham 2-2,,, it seems I simply cannot get things right often.
2 weeks ago you were sitting at 27th now you're at 24th that's not bad tbh and this round you've gained more points than the rest of us. We have 3 matches left to predict before the round ends don't lose hope.  Cheesy

I picked all favorites to win today but i'm having second thoughts that there will be a draw after looking at the results yesterday. All home teams are underdogs and 2 of the favorites had a poor start.

Phew, my team lost, I cannot believe it,,, and worse, all three goals were scored by Watford, so either Harry Kane ran out of steam trying to make his goals count start early or we actually really need our South Korean player back asap. Now my whatsapp is full of Spurs memes I am feeling like it was old days again,,, but thank god we are still above Arsenal:P

Still at 24th, but I climbed up a few hundred places in my own Tottenham leaderboard. Cannot check the exact scores. Superbru game engine busy this whole afternoon.

I did exactly that at the WC pool.  It kinda worked the first few 'game days' but ended dropping out anyway.  I think I should have stuck to my original plan and copy what Lawro does.  Lol.  Ended up not doing it cos it would be kinda like I cheated if I win.

^  What's your secret?  I need to get out of this rut.  Grin

Stop tinkering.

For the first couple of weeks, I put my predictions in the weekend before based entirely on "gut feeling", and then they day before looked more closely at them and tweaked them a little bit. I was very middle-of-the-table. This week, I half forgot and half didn't have the time to sit down and tweak my "gut feelings" from last weekend, and I seem to have done better for it. Much like my Fantasy Football team, constantly tinkering and tweaking seems to leave me worse off than if I just go with my gut and forget about it. Also, I get less grief from the other half about spending too much time on the football. So a win-win, haha.

EDIT: Scrap that. That Cardiff goal ruined everything.  Cheesy

Well, looks like I've had a good couple of days, moving up 15 places from 20th to 5th. Goes to show you don't even need a good week to jump the table, a good day is all it takes. Wonder if my predictions will come through today to keep this lucky streak going.

I'm still hovering about my Man Utd prediction - it should be an easy win for United with Burnley on a draw and two loses against some very average teams, but it could go either way with United's current form. A few of my friends in my Fantasy Football League are big United fans - can't wait to give them some abuse later if United don't win.  Grin

Today my favorite team is playing and they need to win this to get to the same spot as Chelsea and Liverpool. If they can win 3-0, they will be #1, while beating Watford away from 100%. So this is my dream!

I thought I would lose a lot of positions with today results in the games of EPL but only lost two positions and I lost only 1.5 point against the leader. This was the week of some surprises though with Everton failing to win against Huddersfield and Palace losing to Southampton (at least for me these are surprises). Anyway the top is very tight now.

Meh.
The most expensive keeper in the world, ladies and gents.  Cheesy

But a goal well deserved by Leicester tho.  And yup...  Leicester could turn this into a draw.  They're doing some good pressing on Liverpool.

There's a song in Sweden that goes something like "Varför måste alltid Lester kvittera med 4 sekunder kvar", roughly translated to "Why must always Lester equalize with 4 seconds left" and it's quite catchy Cheesy

Oh my, Allison. What on earth was he doing? Maybe this will be his wake up call to stop trying to be flash all the time and just be a solid keeper instead. Klopp won't be happy.

Still, I predicted 2-1, so if both teams could just sit back and relax for the last 25 mins, that would be great.  Grin

You and me both! However I'm not surprised if this goes either way from here..
