I got Liverpool to win vs Crystal Palace today, though I can't remember the exact score. Hopefully, we won't have another upset  Lips sealed

LOL 28 users predicted a Man Utd win, only two predicted a Brighton win...and here I though we all lost that one. @hilariousandco no longer at the top of the league  Shocked Good job, @slaman29

Not a bad weekend for me, I think I got top 10 secured until next week even if I don't get the Liverpool - Crystal Palace result right.

On the plus side, Aguero's hat trick got my fantasy football team a nice few points.
Fun fact: Aguero is now the 2nd player with the most hat-tricks in the EPL, first is the legend Alan Shearer.

Thank you! I just didn't like how Mourinho has been putting his team out and I thought they would have a tough away game especially with Sanchez injured. It's a shame I didn't bet on the game, it seems only 2% people predicted the upset. Whoever predicted 3-2 is amazing, United don't easily let in three goals, and Brighton don't easily score 3 goals!
Before the game, Man Utd have conceded 3 goals in only two games under Mourinho...crazy stuff that some people predicted the exact score... high risk high reward, though I usually don't go for those risky predictions.

I have Liverpool as my main tip in my tipping thread today. I have Liverpool to win and Over 2.5 goals while for the predictor I have predicted a narrow win of Liverpool , at 1-2 as correct score.

I’ve had an absolute stinker of a weekend in round 2’s fixtures. Need to do much better next weekend.
Gone for C Palace 1-3 Liverpool tomorrow.

Yup...  Me too.  I guess this will be another early donation for this season for me.  If by the fifth or sixth week I don't improve, I quit.  Enjoy my donation.  Grin

I got 0 - 2 in the Palace vs LFC match.

We have quite a few gamblers I can see in our pool haha I see 1 person bet a City draw in our pool. Who is Sojourner? He is predicting too many upsets.

So far mostly predictable results, so those of us who didn't take too much risk are on top.

I go again for 4-0, this will be harder for being away, but I like how they are on form and playing just like they did last season. I'm neutral in English football but hard not to like Liverpool, even their players are nice people.

6-1 to Man City and Brighton currently beating Man Utd 3-1. Can't imagine many people predicted those results!

^  And if you can get a bet in for Burnley matches at home to win +0 at 1.80 or more and vs midtable clubs and lower, you should usually take it...  There just something about Burnley that bookies tend to underestimate.

Also, Welsh and others, you have 15 free picks if you ever forget. They're used up automatically, and are set to the most popular prediction for the games. So basically, you haven't lost anything just yet.

I've put my picks in up to Week 3, but will probably make sure I have at least 2 weeks in advance picked out. You can always change them later. Takes all of 30 mins to enter everything right up to season end, so why not?
Wasn't aware of the free 15 picks. I guess that's how I got 7 points from the first round Cheesy I did alright on some of the games yesterday, and I think I should pick up some points from the remaining games. No idea what the scores will be with these though, as we've got the potential for some high scoring ones.

I doubt we will see a high scoring one in the Burnley game. All the betting websites where I read news and do the analysis were predicting a low scoring game but those are just predictions anyway. For this game my score is 1-0 for Burnley.

I don't lock my picks so I don't see anything until game is over and scores are given, so I really don't see any disadvantage with Superbru.

1.5 close result is pretty good to me too, I mean you got to say it's "fairer" to give half a point more to the guy who predicted 4-0 when the game ends 5-0, instead of getting the same scores as the guys who predicted 1-0. I don't know. I don't think there's a perfect system, and it would appear SB changes their scoring system based on player feedback.

Newcastle converting their penalty would have given me something out of this. Predicted a narrow 2-1 away win. But for that or the red card...

Meh.
You can't copy any body else because you can't see their predictions until yours are locked in and therefore unchangeable.

Exactly this.

I've never used BBC(lol), but I have to say that I love Superbru so far, it's great & simple (imo) and I'll use it with my friends for CL. The points system is great as well, I like the 1.5p close result.

^  Not locking your predictions til the last minute is the best way to deal with it.  But I don't mind personally.  Lol.  You all can copy my predictions of you wanna lose.  Grin

But yeah...  It'd be cool to play in a predictor site like what BBC had.

That is why I don't like of the Superbru, privacy is 0 here compared to the old good BBC predictor and I still miss it compare to this Superbru thing. If the Champions League will offer more privacy I am keen to enter but with a Superbru website honestly not feeling like I want to enter.

Not fun at all. The 1.5 close result is the most f up thing I have ever seen. I want 1 point for correct result and 3 for correct score only, this shows who is the best in the end.

I am always putting my predictions on a week by week basis. I never lock my pick so the other members can see my picks only when the game starts, I also cannot see other users pick. I don't want to see this as I don't want to be impacted. On Newcastle game I predicted 1-1 and I see a lot of persons have the same predictions.

This doesn't seem to be the case. Others can still see them if they've locked theirs and you have at least put yours in. I also predicted 1-1 for this game and it's currently in play at 0-0 with ten minutes to go.

For those interested I've started a new pool to get one organised for the Champions League. There's a month to go before it kicks off so please sign up at the following thread if interested: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcoinnewscoms-uefa-champions-league-football-preditor-pool-discussion-thread-4919683

I like to put in a bunch of predictions at least a week in advance without really thinking about it. Then look at them all again in more detail the day or two before and see if my reasoning matches my gut feelings from the week before.

Yes, same here. I mean, it can be a bit silly to put in random numbers because like today I am late to change anything for Newcastle match which has just started (I predicted them to win) but that's why for now I just put all the predictions for a normal win, 2-0 or such, based on my feelings for them. Like LFC says though, form is always something to look for so I always put in advance predict wins for the big guys, and draws for the teams I'm not so sure.

But that's still better than getting your picks made to the most popular, because the most popular isn't always right, as FIFA world cup showed.

Got my predictions in all the way up until week 3. Well, it’s technically only another 2 rounds of fixtures but I wanted to do it whilst I was bored. Might go up until week 5 tomorrow if I can be bothered.

I'll do it week by week. There is just more charm in doing it that way for me. And it's not likely that I will forget since I am always tinkering with my Fantasy squad as well.

Yeah, well obviously you have to account for form etc so I’d never do months worth of games in advance. I’ve tried kinda hard for this weeks fixtures so let’s see how it goes.

Good luck buddy Smiley
