By the way at the beginning of the season you were thinking that Arsenal would finish ahead of Liverpool and Newcastle would finish ahead of Chelsea.  After leaving 20 weeks behind I wonder what your thoughts are about these two topics.

I probably wouldn't take any bet on those outcomes right now but.. I remain hopeful they can turn things around. I still see Newcastle having a better chance at ending top 6 than Chelsea.

Is there a possibility for Liverpool to reach an agreement with a big star like Mbappe in the winter break? Cheesy I can't even imagine Mbappe's coming into Nunez's place.  Grin

Most likely not, I cant imagine Liverpool goes ham on the winter transfer. They might do so in summer considering how it goes for the last 6 remaining months but probably not a huge star player

I think Everton are safe and the bookmakers' odds confirm this. In fact, they have the same number of points (including the penalty) as their main competitors, but they show a much better performance than them (without the penalty they would be far ahead) so I rather expect Everton to rise and improve their position in the standings than the other way around.
Plus, I still really want Everton to remain in the Premier League, since this whole story with the fine (while clubs like City and Chelsea remain invulnerable) looks unpleasant.

Everton is pretty decent generally speaking and they wouldnt be in this kind of situation if it wasnt for the 10 minus points but there are a whole lot of games remaining and honestly Luton is a pretty decent team as well. I honestly would want Luton to stick around for 1 more season so Im rooting for them, I'll be glad if NFO ended up taking that 3rd spot on relegation zone

*no Im not salty because they beat Manchester United Lips sealed

Nunez got a fair amount of criticism all of last season, to be fair. But on the topic of Jackson - I just can't like this guy. After that game against spurs where he celebrated a goal like he just won the world cup up 11 to 9 men and with spurs playing the backline at midfield. Whenever I see him he just looks like he's trying to be that guy, but he's not. Hard to explain, wish him the best though!

I have the same idea with you about Jackson completely. Besides I think that he is a very bad forward player. How long do you want to keep convincing yourself that Darwin is capable of leading the Liverpool attack? We're both aware that he's only playing more minutes because he doesn't have any competition in that position.

Darwin Nunez, 5 goals , 15 chances missed.
N. Jackson 7 goals , 12 chances missed. ( first season)

Guess who is getting all the negative energy and criticisms?

Tottenham is one of our major London rivals, and to think we stopped their unbeaten streak with our bad team is insane; it was a big moment for Jackson, and I don't blame him.

He is not the £100 million man, but he has already outscored Darwin Nunez in every attacking stat this season in a very bad attacking team that is 10th, while Nunez's fantastic Liverpool team is first. This alone raises a lot of "what if" questions.

What if Jackson was playing in the super Liverpool side?

What if Darwin was playing in this struggling Chelsea side?

I just wish Darwin Nunez would learn from that and produce a stellar performance in Salah's absence, but all will be well so far Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota + Cody Gakpo are all fit.

I know I'm unpopular but Darwin makes moves off the ball that Isak can't. He also riles opponents up reminiscent of Suarez. We had nice guys up front with Sadio/Bobby/Salah, even Jota, Gakpo, Diaz are only a shade off but I like streetfighting snarl in the mix and I hold fast to Nunez thriving as a foil our modern 9s seem to be.

I probably missed this discussion, but did everyone notice how Everton, after depriving them of 10 points, began to win? This team has the will and I am sure that they will remain in the Premier League at the end of the season.

yeah, noticed of course
as a fan, I am not so sure that we will survive, too many obviously want us relegated

Everton is topping the chart with most penalties decided against us, and is bottom the chart with no penalty still this season for us
could be a coincidence, but with point deduction, it is hard to survive on these stats

and Luton started playing better, would like to see them survive on expense of Forest, not us, but will be a thorough fight till the end

Relegation

Sheffield United 1.02

Burnley 1.20

Luton Town 1.26

Nottingham Forest 4.41

Everton 5.88

And the thing with Man United winning from behind vs a decent club in Aston Villa, I think a huge part of that is the match being at Old Trafford.  There's just something with United playing in the so called 'Theatre of Dreams' that makes some matches something special for the guys at home.
There has been nothing special about playing at Old Trafford for United this season. In their last 10 or so matches at home, they have lost to Bournemouth, Bayern, Manchester City, Newcastle, Crystal Palace, Galatasaray. The only top team they have won at home recently is Chelsea, before the Villa match.

There was pretty much no expectation for the Villa match, and that may have helped to relieve some pressure from the players.

Sure but the point was the minute you think you have it all figured out, better think again if you're betting against Man United at Old Trafford.  And there's no shame losing vs the likes of Man City, Bayern and Newcastle United imho as they are more or less pretty good themselves.

So yeah, Man United is up playing against Tottenham next.  My first instict is bet a little something for Tottenham but then you guessed it, the match is at Old Trafford.  I think I'll just enjoy the match or bet on something like BTTS and over 2.5 goals combo.

I am really upset about this last week as I am unable to predict any match due to internal issue of network my best predictions ruined by them, and now I have stayed at bottom for long time but still I will try to fight back in coming days as we have 18 rounds left and good chance for fightback even now its toughest job but still possible.

Liverpool win and today draw give me real time loses as I was sure about few things and due to no predicting, I lost 3 important points from pool now we have long broken hopefully coming weeks good be better for all of us.

I think a huge part of that is the match being at Old Trafford.  There's just something with United playing in the so called 'Theatre of Dreams' that makes some matches something special for the guys at home.

un_rank got to the comment first but he's right. Gala won in England for the first time, Forest first time since... 76? Moyes also popped his cherry vs Big Six away. Theatre of Dreams has been largely that for visitors. United've won three and lost seven in all competitions this season at OT. They actually perform better away. Fans are unforgiving and booing you, you bet that's affecting their psyche.

Villa gave the game away.

Gomez has been brilliant since he’s had to step in. I thought Jones was good too, things are looking good aren’t they. It could be a really exciting second half of the season for us. I thought it would be another year before we competed for the title. Let’s go for it though, all we can do is hope.

Yeah, so pleased for Jones, local lads always get to my soft spot but man, they're looking really good. Like you, I'd consigned this season to a non-UCL rebuild, even before our first game kicked off. Losing Hendo, Millie, Bobby, it felt really painful. Where we are now is a real bonus. Think even neutrals wished we were in UCL instead of United. This team is fearsome when not at their best. Unplayable when they are.

I just wish Darwin Nunez would learn from that and produce a stellar performance in Salah's absence, but all will be well so far Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota + Cody Gakpo are all fit.

^  At first glance, Man United playing Nottingham Forest away looks like a value bet for the guys at home but looking at how United won from behind vs Aston Villa, I think you're right.  Ten Hag could go on and continue the momentum here.  And this guy Garnacho...  He is running hot lately.

Lol at myself for falling for ETH's trap. The result didn't change the fact it was value though. On a boost, it was 24/10! Conversely, 27/10 for Nottingham Forest was poor value.

But as I've said countless times I'm happy to lose bets on United and City if it means them not winning things.

Yeah but hindshight, with the bookies giving Nottingham Forest 'poor value' it prolly means they know Man United was up to some shenanigans against and lose the match...  Which they did.  Lol.

Newcastle were awful, they surely can compete this season, both of their goals were just rather not convincing as that of a good team ready to compete...
Newcastle have been shadows of themselves over the past few weeks compared to how they started the campaign this season and how they finished last season.

Gomez has been brilliant since he’s had to step in.
I think he has been far better than Tsimikas at left back, despite being a natural right back.

I'm pretty much bottom of the overall league table now because all those below me have pretty much stopped playing  Grin.

After the amazing comeback against Aston Villa I thought that Manchester United would win today. However they lost against Nottingham Forest and I don't think they played well at all tonight. Even though Chelsea got 3-0 ahead against Luton they had a lot of difficulties in the last minutes of the match. Luton found chances to score the equalizer a few times however they couldn't. After this break I wonder how the last condition of teams will be.

I went for a draw and was one goal out. You can't trust United right now. Surely Ten Hag can't last much longer at this rate. It's going to be interesting following Villa now to see if they can pull a Leicester.

Had a draw for last night's game as well. I keep foolishly expecting Newcastle to bounce back.

I loved the game tonight. Sure, we allowed 2 goals but the energy levels, wow. So good to see Jota back properly, Gomez surprising me again and again with how capable he is filling in for Tsimi/Robbo. Sure, City's chasing us down but we get to meet them at Anfield, bring it on!

$50 BTC from NotATether, 1mBtc from Buwatress

Thank you ETH.

I will PM you my SB USDT wallet addy.

Could we do it till the conclusion of the season? You know there are still many games to play, and he might yet get sacked

$100 ETH to remain as manager till the end of the season Or Manchester United to finish ahead of Chelsea (they're terrible, but they play better than us. Poch is killing us.) Looking for every danm way to milk money out of Chelsea and Manchester united miseries.

Well done entebah, please everybody take it easy and let me get up the spots Smiley

I don't know why I still wanted to trust Man U, they win from luck and randomness, but if you don't play your best, you will lose in EPL and ManU are probably the team trying the least effort in all 20 teams. Except Bruno who is EPL's most played player...
