Harko, nicely done.

Didn't watch tonight's game (Bournemouth vs Luton, really?) but seems like I missed out on a goalfest. Checking in now and it's 3-3 with 20 minutes still to play. Luton City must be feeling sick to the stomach, Tahith Chong (that guy) opened accounts and they led 3-0 at half time, but allowed Bournemouth back into the game.

More exciting than Champions League?

There is no fun watching the champions League anymore, we only have teams playing for Penalty shootouts now. A messy champions season. I watched Arsenal - Porto play and couldn't tell if it was Europa league or preseason game. Just 22 random kids running after the ball with no real action for 120mins.

Luton has given us many exciting games this season; their counter-attacking play is second only to Tottaham, and they have excellent set-piece techniques. I was very disappointed that they threw up a 3-0 lead in such a vital game.

Fun fact: Luton has score more goals that 6th place Manchester united.

I just saw the highlights and it was really a spectacular game.
If Luton gets relegated, this just might be the game that decided it. Crazy to lose such a lead in such an important game.

The break is coming at the right time for us, the next PL game is 2 weeks away.
I hope we get some players back by then, we won't be able to keep winning with kids forever.

ashamed to admit, but it was a great feeling to see Luton losing after they were up 0:3 in first half
what is Everton bringing to their crowd is just to be happy when others are miserable, since we are not winning anything at all

spoil alert: Everton is on a longest no-win strike for a long time, but hopefully Luton will allow us to stay up, as we can't hold on that alone

I'm literally stunned when I got the mention too and I was seeing the game nor following it at first per se, I just saw 3-0 lead for Luton at halftime and it felt like some browser glitch to me until and I check the goal scorers and other stats, only to get 3-3 notification in the 63rd minute, must have been a better watch than the UCL for today, I'd agree even just by the scoreline alone.

Arsenal fans celebrate mediocrity unnecessarily... You paid a fucking 60 million pounds, and we got a better deal in Palmer, who is a cheaper and better footballer than Kai Havertz.
You made too many terrible deals in the last transfer window to be talking about what other clubs did with money. I will take Kai and Rice everyday over your 1 billion pounds science experiment.

When your Kai and Rice get you to a cup final we will talk - another trophyless season for your special squad in the last 20 years. We've never gone trophyless in our best era.

A big club gloating about stopping other clubs from winning the league is not the flex you think it is. No one losses the league without lossing matches, you do not see any other club, even the small ones talking about such trivial events that happened ten or so years ago.
Tottenham came 3rd that season, you guys came 10th. You are not even in 10th place yet now.

Stoping our London rivals from winning is the reason we're the most decorated London club. The only London club to have completed football. It's gonna take you lots a century or even more.  Grin

Is there a single person who will stand up for Doku's incident in the last minute like it wasn't a penalty?

Well. I'm one of the biggest LFC supporters on the forum and I'll tell you that I think it would have been a soft one to give. I did see them given though - and I think the ref should have checked it himself.
I'm leaning towards it not being enough for a penalty, but would have liked that the procedures were followed properly.
When VAR first came out it was supposed to be to "correct obvious referee mistakes". I still believe that is the best way to use VAR. If you have to watch the slow monition from 10 different angles to judge the situation just stick with original decision.

In this case it could have gone both ways and sticking with original decision (no pen) was the right call for me. If the ref pointed to the spot nobody could have objected though.

I hate it when we have different criteria in the boy and outside. If that was happening in center circle I am sure foul would be given and maybe even yellow card but I guess we will always have that discrepancy.

@igehh, Havertz is still coming good. Looking more and more like a great addition.

Kai Havertz is still Kai Havertz I have not seen anything superb yet. Blanks in 4-5 games, two goals in 7 games, and Arsenal goes wide. C'mon

Oh bloody ell Chelski. Just as I came in here to talk about clawing my way back up yo Top 15 with an exact score, you let Newcastle back in late. Garbage scoreline. I should have known better than a consolation  goal with this version of Chelsea.

Terrible Monday elsewhere though with Sevilla snatching a draw from the jaws of victory and Lazio doing even better. So I suppose Chelsea are the best of the lot.

I watched a bit of first half game between Liverpool and City, should have stayed for the second half but you know, work and sleep etc as it seems the second half was 17 shots on goal in total, with 2 post hits.

Hard to see about the Doku penalty, from the still photo, it looks 100% penalty but you know, that's the problem with one frame angle.

Either way, that was the last great match we'll ever see, unless they meet again in FA Cup.

I still think Pep-Mourinho was the greatest rivalry of my lifetime, of course, I say that as Barca fan. Every match every El Clasico was THE match of the season, and it was way tighter than Liverpool City in most seasons BUT as a neutral, watching Klopp's 'average' teams destroy City is a feat no one else came close. City are confident every game, galaticos. But play Liverpool and they are running in terror. More teams should do this. Imagine United, they must wish to have 10% of Liverpool's balls.

Great game for all the Liverpool supporters, I wish you the best next season but nobody can fill Klopp's shoes. I don't wish to be you Smiley

You are right, procedures should have been followed properly, I would have loved to see different angles to it and be able to confirm if Doku had any contact with the ball. My first thought was that it was a penalty and that is still my thoughts now with the angles I have seen.

@igehh, Havertz is still coming good. Looking more and more like a great addition.

That being said, it was such a good performance from LFC overall. We bullied City around the pitch 75 out of the 90 minutes and should have won the game before that penalty appeal.

It really is a shame that Klopp is leaving, what he's doing with this team is remarkable.

The Elephant are staying on top, for one more week.

No action for us next week, but we return to face City, and if we win we stay ahead with a game to spare (on City at least).

P.S, Diaz, Allister and Van Dijk were brilliant today.

Liverpool were the side that deserved the win by playing quite nicely especially in the second half today. However somehow they couldn't manage to score the second goal. Especially Luis Diaz couldn't benefit from many opportunities. I don't like to talk about the referees but the referee decisions for two days have made me really surprised.

Yeah, bloody Villa couldn't deliver the kill when they needed to. Spurs gifted them so many errors in the first half, but Watkins, bless him, was at fault for a couple of indecisive moments. Then Son and co strike back and score with a few chances, what a blow for the Villains.

This is me talking about other teams with a hint of disappointment we didn't win. We actually, perhaps only ever so slightly, deserved it. At least we made City look pretty boring, didn't we?

Besides Arsenal team don't act in accord with fair-play. After this match I have lost my sympathy for Arsenal.
What does this even mean? Everyone should stop boxing Arsenal in and deciding how the players/coach acts and reacts.

The Elephant is back on top, and could remain there when the dust settles for this match-week.

Havertz's dive in the penalty area to deceive the referee while he had a yellow card was foolish. Despite all those Brentford players' objections the referee didn't send off Havertz. The Premier League referees are really in terrible condition this year.Besides Arsenal team don't act in accord with fair-play. After this match I have lost my sympathy for Arsenal.

This dive really looks bad, should have been second yellow.

I watched just parts of the game and Arsenal should have finished this one sooner. Ramsdale blunder did not help as well. I guess it must be felt when you are warming the bench every week instead of playing.
