Better now than couple of weeks later. Really disappointed with all those people, it shouldn't be that hard to let us know you are not interested in playing and we could have had one Div 3 with engaged players instead of 2.

Div 3B will be very strange this season. Lot's of games will be 3:0 by default and participants will loose a lot of BSFL experience this season. On the other hand they have a very easy shot at promotion to Div 2 next season which should compensate at least a bit.

One thing related to that is prepared for maybe see a theft in that game... for no reason that game is gonna be played without the VAR system, and the main question is WHY?, well Boca is already out of Copa Libertadores, and the alst chance they ahve to qualify into the next one is via argentine cup winning it.... So all the football is looking into that game to see what happen, we are having a few very shameful episode with referees in the last games for promotion to first division.

it is a luck based round IMO, nothing much to set edge on, lot of questions with 3/4 options, where at least two are spot on, and small difference

Nope, it will always be based on performance. We started this as a place for the community to have fun and discuss sports, money incentives are secondary.
All that being said, of course that we're always looking for ways to make it bigger, more competitive, more rewarding.

We will keep the format in which most people play for something until the end, we feel it brings a lot more engagement.

I do like 2 ideas that are being discussed though - an entry fee (small, ofc) for Division 2 and a 'penalty fee' for D1 and D2 that is returned to the players at the end of the seasons if they submit all rounds on time.

We're still early in S03, a lot of time to analyze properly. Keep the ideas coming

This is not a bad idea, and it means that all division players will get more serious or they will get kicked out and be broke.
I am sure local sheriff would like that change, this means more chance for police to write tickets and that brings more money in rewards bucket.

This is actually good but perhaps ask them to pay it upfront?

I mean you guys could treat it like deposit fee that is paid upfront though perhaps 2mbtc for division 2 and lower because thats where most problematic players play at. So anyone that does not gets disqualified until the end of the tournament will get their deposit fee back along with their prizes so this will perhaps encourage players to fill in answers every week

If the serious teams from 3A and 3B are merged, there will be some sort of competitiveness beginning next season. And if my recommendations are considered, the entire division will be more competitive than it is now.

I enjoy this competition and will continue to participate in it until we all become weary of it and want to try something different.

Hope you guys in Division 3 are encouraged by the changes. I think there will always be seasons with varying levels of effort but if you just look at the long-term possibilities of promotion to the top flight, you'll agree it's worth a bit of time.

I know I say this with the privilege of starting in Div1 but if I do relegate, I'll be Igebotz. Fighting tooth and nail for promotion!

I fed my team Mcdonalds after the loss. Taken them off nutrition and asking them to eat greasy food and beer. They might as well enjoy since nothing I'm doing is helping.

Both of us were really very bad in this round. Because of that we are very lucky for getting one point.

So, what will it be like? Shouldn't the dive 2 teams that can't pay be demoted to Div 3 and the Div 3 teams that can pay be promoted to Div 2? To me, this is ideal.

We need to make Divisions 1 and 2 more appealing. If sign-up costs cannot cover 30% of the prize pool by season 4, we are not progressing.

Lukaku rocked that game and I just found the time to have a look at his goals in the highlights. This guy is a physical beast, but still he understands how to move his mass.

It doesn't happen very often, but I think everyone who went for some risky bets knows this feeling when the game gets out of control within a short period of time and the bet slip is successful before the game really began! This was one of those games. For everyone who had any kind of bet placed on Lukaku, this played out well.

I breezed through it this week - the only game of some interest was the Zvezda - Milano one. Basketball often has heavy favorites, and I don't really like questions with basketball handicaps.
Euroleague does interest us, I go through it occasionally, and if you have some games on your mind feel free to suggest them - or even suggest the question yourself.

Argentinian football got the nod instead of basketball this week because we also have some people from the Americas that don't get enough attention football-wise.


I'm not against it per se, but I'm against raising Div3 prizes at this point - and then we can't have big penalties because the penalty would be almost as big as the top reward - which would drive players away.


Well, maybe one day, yeah. The thing is that we reward a lot of players - practically all. Therefore, the top few prizes aren't that big and if you charge an entrance fee, you get a lot of people eventually playing for nothing in the end.
There is some wiggle room for us there definitely, if we remove one 3rd Division we'll probably slightly raise the rewards in Division 2 - which might be enough to introduce a small entry fee.

The bottom league (currently Division 3) will always be free to play.
