And it's looking like the WTA top 6 seeds are likely just going to breeze through their opponents here.
My first surprise pick should come about today, Jabeur to lose against Noskova. Also have money on this one since I don't rate Jabeur on hard surface as good player. This is the worst surface for hear drop shots and slices.

I was probably going to use my VAR on her initially because during her first match, she was having a hard time breathing and had to get her inhaler, and need some medical attention, I guess she's asthmatic or semi, and the humid atmosphere didn't help, and that didn't stop her from struggling with the breathing and body language wasn't up and running, but she fought her way out. She's improve a lot from my point of view if there was game she should lose it would have been that, imo. Noskova  have the advantage of the their my match up, but then I think if Jabeur is healthy tonight, I reckon she'd win the game, I could place a bet on her to win 2:1 correct score.

not sure if anyone is following basketball championship outside from upper draw that gives scorers for question, but Venezuela vs Georgia is giving vibes as it is a court in a park nearby, not professional tournament

back to back dunk missed, and after that missed lay-up, 32 countries is way too much for any basketball tournament

@Trofo and @cryptofrka - could you maybe freeze the first row and the first two columns in the spreadsheet? It's not that important when I look at the spreadsheet on my computer, but when I want to check it out on my mobile, it's hard to see which row is mine and which one my opponent's. If it's too much of a trouble, then never mind. I have been meaning to ask you that for some time...

Sorry, missed this somehow - you probably edited in your post because I did not get notified.

Basically, the top row (questions) automatically goes into freeze mode and when you scroll, it should always be on top.
I did the same for columns for this round, test it on your phone and tell me if it's working.

Well this boost my confidence somehow because I also have Jabeur to lose as well for the question. As for my case, its just compete random answers that I provide for the question because I totally have no clue with the woman tennis at all. 3 difference answers for question #6 so I gotta win 2/3 of those to get point from here

Any chance of Rybakina to lose as well btw on the next one?

P.S. Lukaku-Mou, if I saw that coming I might have backed Roma this round.
I have that match pegged as draw, Mou will find a way to make life difficult for Milan.

Regarding names, I don't feel it is our job to tell you to use names when brothers are playing. I mean it is common sense, if you provide half of an answer you don't get the point, simple as that. Of course we accept when there is no chance somebody thought about someone else but every time there is a chance, that will count as wrong answer.

Re names, best to just use the format First Name initial and Last Name format. e.g. M. Verstappen. And if even that fails, pick is assumed to be losing one, to teach us all a lesson heh.

Pleased to get the PSV point, so am level with jeremypwr -- I note we have different thinking in the majority of the questions, but feeling confident of WTA despite past performances. #nojinx

P.S. Lukaku-Mou, if I saw that coming I might have backed Roma this round.

Alcaraz dropped a set in all his matches in Cincinatti - and this isn't his preferred surface.
I agree that it sounds a lot - but losing 2 sets in 6 matches is actually not that unexpected.

A little bit over 50% of participants chose them to lose 2 or less - which I think will happen as well. Wouldn't be surprised to see Alcaraz struggle vs Evans though, and Djere can take a set off of Novak as well.

Alcaraz first opponent had to retire just one point into the second set, while Djokovic is still pretty much unscathed so far, If Alcaraz were to drop a set in either of his next two fixtures, the 2 set or less still feels like the best choice, Daniel Evans have been red hot lately but I don't reckon if that'd would be enough for him to grab one set still.

And it's looking like the WTA top 6 seeds are likely just going to breeze through their opponents here.

didn't look much on answers on ATP, but first option should be without lost set, with option to lose two, it was a no brainer to pick first option for Alcaraz and Djokovic (presume first option was most picked)

If the US Open Tennis question were reversed, I'm the question for the ATP about the two top seeded players Alcaraz and Djokovic for their outcome and number of set dropped was for the WTA, while the WTA is vice versa and was meant for ATP top six seeded players...

I'm literally so sure that it would have been a blood bath on the spreadsheet right now, because just before third round Holger Rune (4), Casper Ruud (5) and Stefano Tsitsipas (7) have already all been eliminated, and those are some massive upsets. Who would have expected predicted either Iga Swiatek and Sabalenka not to drop any after the third rounds ? and that's look like very probable right now.

and all those mentioned after from Djokovic part, so does not have any meaningful opponent till eventual final match

as far as WTA goes so far, all top6 are still in tournament

I despise basketball with every fibre of my being, over 2 meter high, over 100 kg people getting fouls for bare touches. Who needs that  Grin
Well, at least they don't pretend that they're dying after foul like we have in football (insert rolling Neymar GIF) Cheesy

I agree that in football there are a lot of players that are dying just so that another players gets a bigger punishment (yellow or even red card). But in basketball you never see a foul where one player tackles another one and it's because every touch, even the smallest one, is considered a foul. I don't like when a game is interrupted with fouls.

Still, this is something that cannot be accepted and all of those that wrote only Hernangomez (myself included) won't get a point if he reaches the top 5.
Both brothers are starters and former NBA players - so we cannot give any leeway here. Stupid mistake from my side - but what can you do.
We have similar situation 2nd week in a row. I'm not saying that it should be imposed rule about it, but if there several players with same surname playing in tournament, you should write at least first name letter of player that you pick.
Imagine situation if both Bogdanovic is playing, they're not even from same country. Bojan is from Croatia, Bodan is Serbian and I always confuse them

I think that we should have a rule where everyone must name the first and the last name of a player in such questions. I had no idea that there are two Hernangomez included. Luckily for me, Slissy wrote Hernangomez (without specifying which one) and I didn't Grin

FIBA: I wanted to ask, I didn't really get it but why are some teams playing in two groups? This was the toughest to answer since almost everyone gets 3 more games (right?) but I went simple and picked all the leaders in top 2 each group. How did you guys answer? Oh and great catch on Hernangomez...
All the teams are still playing because the first group will still compete for a spot in the QF, while the others are fighting for placements. Based on the schedule, they all have two games remaining because their wins and losses from the last round will be included.

I also did the same because it was already pointed out in the question, and I had to look up the two groups to double-check.  Cheesy

Stay safe Coin_trader. Next time have yr answers ready just to click submit. Igebotz what the hell man, are you trying to run away from me in Div2?
Thanks mate, I have my answer almost ready, I’m just waiting for some match to conclude to give a close prediction until the storm hits us which I’m aware because I rarely watch news this days because of Netflix and Gambling. Until now there’s heavy rain but electricity backup.

Hope everything's OK Smiley no worries about being late, ofc.
Unfortunately, we still have to give you the penalty for the fairness of the competition - even in such cases. Hope you don't mind.

No worries on penalties, Most important to me is my answer will still be accepted.

Yes it is much better situation with DOTA.
100 kg people, short fat or skinny guys that never get injured in real life, except maybe nails and fingers  Grin

Yes, and Trofo needs to get used to it because the regular season would begin around the same time or few weeks into the new BSFL season, and I can't but expect at least one or a couple of questions from it on a weekly basis, because there always at least 2-3 very tough/even match up  Tongue

PSV with a crazy win today, 5 freaking 1, but have them to win last week was task harder than finding an iceberg in hell for them right ?

I expected a very close one just like week, even with PSV being at home the 2 goals difference felt like a stretch to me, but here we are...

It's quite a tricky fixture for me yet again, I didn't check my opponent, not until a while ago, and we don't have many differentials, and I've not been of any luck when it comes down to those minute chances, but finger crossed.

I was thinking that PSV would advance from this round by winning home today. However I didn't even dream of such a lopsided victory. PSV showed by their game today how much they deserved to qualify for the groups. Thankfully this wrong answer wasn't much problem for me as my opponent thought the same as me on this question also.

PSV with 10 shots on goal and converted half of them, I can't but blame the Rangers for this, they just did what they know how to do best, which is being the second best or not just good enough.

I expecting PSV to win at home tonight, but I couldn't have predicted such a resoundingly convincing triumph. PSV's performance amply proved that they were deserving of moving on to the group stage. Fortunately, my incorrect assessment of the scenario didn't cause too much trouble because it appears that my opponent had the same expectations as I did for this result.
Regarding your circumstance, it's normal for sporting events to have surprising results that contradict initial expectations. All of this contributes to the thrill and unpredictability that make sports so fascinating. It's fantastic that your rival made a similar error of judgement, levelling the expectations between you two.

That is why I thought you gave us hard question on purpose, because you hate basketball.
I had bad idea in my mind that all people in Croatia love and train basketball, they are all so crazy tall.

I dont understand this new stupid system.
This was one of the hardest questions for me, I had to turn on my brain power Wink

First two question and no correct answers for me, but luckily it was the same for my nemesis.

I really don't think it's a stupid mistake, It's just probably because of people not being that familiar with NBA or Basket in General, I knew the two brothers were playing for Spain, but if you follow the NBA well enough, he's quite a popular guy, and I don't think NBA fanatics wouldn't have spotted that early during the checking, I probably would have dropped it here but I didn't submit answer earlier either, It's just like If Giannis had played for Greece too, I would expect a couple of people just typing Antetokounmpo too, or If Thanasis had just scored a bit in their first game, I think some would still fall for that too.

Lucky enough for Jayce, he didn't go for Hernangomez at all.
