Well... Thanks to France losing against Canada, now I'm down two points against jayce. We have snooker semi finalists and they are Selby, Trump, Hawkings ans Higgins. Selby advancing to the semi final is a VAR well spent for me (thanks casperBGD once again) and with that I'll be only one point behind with three more questions remaining. I guess that USA won't win more than 13.5 gold medals so it's gonna be a draw at best for me.

I am on a same level
having one point lead over mitchr4, but hanging on Sevilla win to secure a win, it could be secured with Everton not to win too, but I will certainly cheer for Everton to win, can't help myself, even if that means draw in this round
and Girona is really good this season (as a matter of fact since last season home win over Real, they are having nice strike of results), but Sevilla is playing at home, should that be too much for them to win it

Wow. France edged the first quarter in that game but Canada just came out the blocks and blew everyone away -- so I'm back on advantage vs Harkorede, assuming he wins the snooker question. ATM, praying that Higginson, who knocked out my guy, also knocks out the defending champ. Leading 3-2 now, Harko, this is going to be so close! If that happens, we get a draw there so I'm rooting for a Scotsman in snooker... first time for everything huh?
I'll need it too as I think USA blew their chance for 14 golds yesterday (I said earlier it all hinged on yesterday and they came up short).

Rodrygo just missed a penalty and things are not going as I expected, but Luka Modric just entered as substitution and I hope he will make a big difference for Real.

I was expecting Canada to win thanks to the NBA players in their squad. However it was a big surprise for me also that they destroyed France on the court after the first quarter. If USA wins more than 13.5 medals it is going to be certain for me to get 3 points. However when I look at your comments I understand that I don't have much chance on this topic.

didn't expect it, it is a first match on tournament, but really important looking forward
France now has to beat Spain for Semi-final in next group, and with that hope that Canada don't lose to Spain with some difference that puts France on 3rd position (no semi-final, no medal) no matter their win over Spain
and Canada also has to think about that, since if they win over Spain, they are setting the stage for a meet-up with USA in Semi-final
but they now have difference to chose what they want

Thanks to Trump reaching the SF's, I'm drawn at 3-3 with Ulven. The only remaining differentiator is the weekend's football - and I don't feel that confident by choosing Liverpool

I'm so frustrated with myself that I forgot to submit my answers before the deadline and I guess the punishment will be -1 point. 
3 of my answers were invalid because of that. If I did it in time maybe 2 of those answers of mine could have given me an advantage against my competitor. However it still looks like nothing has finished for me in this round.
Because even in this situation there is a chance for me to get a draw against @Ozymandias_DZ or maybe even a win. Especially the result of the 8th question and the Newcastle - Liverpool game will be really important for me.

Messi is indeed doing great and bringing some real action to the MLS. So far they haven't lost a single game right? Isn't this like the most successful winning streak they ever had? Given that Messi already scored a bunch of very important goals, it seems needless to say that he has had enormous impact on the team immediately. The Barcelona coalition is doing great there.
Indeed no games lost yet, but that's bound to end of course, the point more is the team now look like winners. Play like shit 80 mins, get Messi to give good crosses or score, you only need to head the ball right lol

This is also for me it feels the round where many peoplw mentioned they have half different answers from their opponent. Normally, I feel like 3 or 4 for me no matter the opponent. In this one only 4 different from Renato.

But the problem now is that they don't have that many favorites left to win the gold medal. The biggest favorites now for the USA now are, Men's 4x100m relay, Men's 200m and Women's 4x400 relay. But this is the WC so anything can still happen 😁
I think it's very likely USA would end up with less than 14 Gold medals, they had their biggest chance today with multiple Athletes in each of the finals today, but there were a lot of surprises that's why they got quite a lot many Silver medals today.

It might work on cup format but these draws are going to only give them 1 point on the league. I lost my bet on Inter Miami as well because of this draw though, kinda want them to win but oh well
