@Ige @slackovic I had to look it up too, no big deal. Top answer showed me it's field goal... which does seem weird considering there are no goals, eh?
Regarding why they use that term, my theory is this, as long time ago I asked myself the same thing (someone will surely correct me if I am wrong): for example, the word "goal" in football comes from a very definition of that word, and since goal of basketball game is to put the ball into the basket I guess that's why they use it.
Old English word for "boundary". The aim of football was to get the ball past a boundary. Goal posts and goal line then defined that boundary, apparently.
I actually only watched kickboxing in Thailand in Malaysia, these aren't televised beyond local TV, and it has been 20 years almost since.
Was that kickboxing or Muay Thai?
This are two different sports with different rules, and Muay Thai is more similar to MMA, they accept knees and elbows, not just kicks like in kickboxing.
Sorry, that's muay Thai (which we just use interchangeably to refer to kickboxing, or our version of. In Malaysia it's "tomok" which isn't muay Thai rules, and the other way round).
I somehow managed to salvage a draw so far with jayce -- really surprised with his tennis picks that sort of gave me a free point, not unlike the way Sabalenka just gave Muchova a free pass into the final!
Wow CLS63 you are on Fire in the first round. Very well done!
I need a small miracle to manage a draw.. But the most important thing now is not to lose by so many points because we know how important it can be with the goal difference from last season😂
Yeah he can thank Bowen and Jovic individually. It's like City losing the opening game, but you know they do that and still win in the end (I remember, we got pipped on the last day).
