I want to comment about tennis and this is not me complaining, just regretting my luck hehe. Trofo said it was H2H (0-3 points per correct pick) and then cryptofrka said it was not, only 1 point, because everyone would pick Alcaraz and result in many draws. But now I hope you can see not everyone picked the favorite, and the end result was everybody drew lol.
It feels a big blow to get finalists right by picking an underdog, and still get the same 0 points as people who didn't even pick the right draws, but a point is a point, I will "fire" my manager and bounce back with new manager of "no research use guts" strategy.
Yes, I fully agree. Sorry it happened to you, you deserved a point here but once announced, we can't change the rules.
It's especially hard to put tennis questions into BSFL - we have to put them days in advance and tennis is too important to be left out.
We also have to calculate so many things - with Alcaraz a big favorite h2h in this question would have lead to many draws - but what happened this time was even worse.
Things like these will help us do it better in the future though - but it's hard when you're the one that suffers because of it.
Cryptofrka mind explaining how these freebet points are calculated, this probably will be my last time asking, and will never look into that column ever again!
So from how I understood this from your last explanation, since you said this is not based on your number of
greens but rather h2h scores and if I look at the unique answers versers your opponent..doesn't this mean your score stands at 3
Forgive me for my poor math hope I will get it this time after you explain:
You have your duel against your league opponent. We count the green answers only for your result. In this round you have 7 of them and your opponent has 4. I have 6, my opponent has 4.
For the freebets it works a bit different though.
There are some h2h questions each round, they are marked with another color. This week these questions are Q4 and Q7. You and I won our h2h duels against our opponents, so they are marked as green.
When we count it for freebets, you play these questions against the whole division. In our division I had the most points (3) for the basketball question, therefore only I get 1 freebet point. For Q7 in our league Trofo had all 11 correct, meaning that only he gets that point, you and I don't.
So - you have 5 points - for questions 1, 2, 6, 8 and 9.
I have 5 points - for questions 1, 2, 4, 5, 9.
From this you can see that I added a point to myself for question 4 (best result in the Division), but nobody from us gets a point for question 7 because Trofo has the best result in the Division.
That is why some players get that point with 10 correct picks (in their Division that is the best result) and you and I do not - because in our division it is not the best result.
Anyway after being able to get only 2 points in the first 3 matches this season my goal was to stay in division 1. I think I have made it already now.
