I would just add that reserve players do not need to submit their ticket at this time but they may if they have it since it will be easier for them and us that way. Only reserve players that fill the form will be taken into consideration.

We will share the spreadsheet at the moment first match starts, anybody who did not submit their answers or ticket is out and we will fill their place with reserve player. At that moment reserve players that did not submit their ticket will have 24hours to do so.

The French team is nothing without Kante and Pogba; the team has been struggling without these two players for some time now, and they are unlikely to advance beyond the group stage. You should keep an eye on Denmark because I believe they will make it at least to the semi-finals.

You are the minimum point mark anyways, making sure you are always behind my username   . This is the only way I don't get bored.

I'm playing different strategies in pool, bracket, and the quiz format:
- pool: don't pick draws until KO
- bracket: underdog until SF
- quiz: no strategy, use brains properly I guess? haha

You will answer all questions, 10 in total. The questions will be the same for all players and will include the games from all the groups.
All answers need to be submitted before the start of the 1st game of the current round, in this case before the opening game of the WC.

Well as a discussion thread, i come with news for all the people, i hope to bring Argentinian information, because im Argentinian and have the info more closely .

The news of today, in this moment Argentina team change his list of players.

Nicolas Gonzales (Fiorentina) its out of WC and for him enter Angel Correa (ATM).
and the second occured a few minutes ago.

Joaquin Correa (Inter) who play yesterday against EUA  and score a goal , its also out, Thiago Almada (Atlanta united) takes his place.

This two change its because "injurys" i put between "" because are more likely inconvenience than injuries, as you can see Correa has played yesterday. But Scaloni wants the players at 100%.

And we can expect more change stay tuned.

That seems like interesting take but we decided to simplify it a bit. There will be 10 questions in total, they can be related to any particular game in that match day, all 32 participants will have same 10 questions and everyone has to submit answers until the same deadline.

If we had separate questions for the groups then we would have to try to choose players from each country in WC to make it super interesting but that would be a logistics nightmare and many forum users would be left out while some countries wouldn't have a representative.

I'm ready! Concentrated, balanced diet, etc.

I would like to add my commentary, in a very football  tone, (where I am from, the world soccer championships are lived as if we were the venue every 4 years) maybe for that very reason.

Don't know if this has been asked before or maybe this question will look stupid, but I'd like to be clear, my question is:
1. Each participant will answer the question according to the schedule of the match where will their group play in the WC? For example, I am in group F, I will only answer questions when the 4 National teams in that group compete
2. Questions will only be about the National team from the group where I am?

How do you propose to cheat actually? You are entering with bitcointalk name and you are sending screenshot of your ticket. Every ticket in Sportsbet has ID and we can always ask Sportsbet to verify everything. Is it really worth giving us some extra work when you can't profit from it in the end? Plus your account gets tagged by couple of DT1 and DT2 memebers and maybe even some further consequences on Sportsbet account?

I simply don't see feasible attack vector here.

Just be normal guys and play fun game, no need to overthink everything. We can also make it in a way that you have to sign every messege from BTC addy, and use that same BTC addy to deposit on Sportsbet. But I don't want to screw good people just because some idiot may cheat. Let him try, we will deal with it as harsh as possible and adapt the rules for the future.

I'm angry at myself at this point. How did I missed this ? It was a perfect chance for me to enter as I'm sure this World Cup will be full of surprises and favorites teams will most likely go home first so it is a great chance to pick underdogs in this World Cup. I'm sorry if you missed the point. LTU_btc was attempting to demonstrate, but his right if you consider his example: a campaign manager sets a number he wants and selects those he only wants to work with, and when all slots are filled up, no one complains. But, to be clear, the competition was open to all and was intended for only 32 players because we are using the official FIFA numbers of teams participating in this year's World Cup, and because it is a free entry, I'm not surprised we had so many new members wanting to join, but those of us who are already on the sportsbet paid pool and those who have been playing for years were given a preference.

Having said that, you are still welcome to apply for a reserve seat in the event that a few members do not show up. Other pools are still open for a few bitcoin fees to join. Tbh, everyone was treated fairly.

I like the idea of Unique IDs or Tags , hope Cro2 team   implement this as a precautionary move against unforseen situations.

I expressed that people should be given a level-playing ground and time and that the competition should be accessible to everyone. Do you think everyone reads everything on the forum at all times? It takes time, so why must they be disenfranchised? Well, one of the organizers has already replied kindly, so no issues.

We really want to make this as easy as possible, but have methods of preventing cheating if it starts to happen.
If, however, it does - we'll probably find the guilty one, and also flag his BTT profile.

First real questions will be sent out some time during Friday - so you'll have plenty of time.

I didn't try out the test form too, but I don't think there should be any problem from my end when answering the questions, I'm also curious as to when will get each sets of questions because I wouldn't want to miss out on any, but I'm sure I'll be very active here during the world cup, I have less school work and stuffs, so I should be able to watch at least 80-90% of all matches.

I have an idea to help curb the challenge of people trying send in multiple answers, impersonate and whatnot, since there are 32 participants, and you don't want to ask for emails, you can generate a unique ID or Tag for every participant which they have to send along with other information they are to provide when answering the questions, the Unique ID or Tag doesn't need to be shown on public spreadsheet, but you'll be sure no one is impersonating another since each participant will be responsible for keep their unique ID/Tag.

This is true, but I could also create 10 google addresses and answer 10 times if I really really wanted to cheat like this
If I have to sign once in a week that is ok, I had silly idea that we are going to answer questions every day when matches are played in World Cup

What do you mean does first question count? This was test and it doesn't count, it was purely for your convenience to see how it will work. There will be 10 questions each round and each of those questions count as one point. There will be some other questions like your username or place to link ticket that is on top of those 10 "real" questions. We will have tie breaker in each round, time of first goal in last game of the match day. They will probably be needed only in knockout stages and hopefully not often since 10 questions should be enough to get a winner.

There are a lot of underdogs in my group, but I've only ever encountered you twice or less. I don't know how much football you guys know, that makes you guys more dangerous than Morvillz7z and I are. At least, I feel confident going up against Morvillz7z. The devil you know is better than the angel you don't know.

I have a few questions after seeing the test page even though I did not participate. Does the first question count for any points? and how many points are awarded for each right answer? And how would a tie-breaker be decided? I apologize if the answers to these questions have already been answered elsewhere; I just didn't see them. cryptofrka
