Will I really lose access to my account if I don't verify by January? Sad
Yes, that's why you have to comply to KYC to verify your account so do it before the deadline.

I refuse to upload my documents because I was told I would never have to do so. I guess they lied to me when I signed up.
I am not sure they lied to you, laws have just changed and they have to comply to stay legal and so their license stays valid. They are not doing this to hurt you or piss you off, they are forced to comply. This also helps ensure that people using the site are the people permitted by jurisdiction.

I dislike Kyc myself and refuse to give documents to 99% of the sites I visit. Unfortunately my dislike for a procedure doesn't change the fact that they still have to do it.

Hi. I received several emails from Stake regarding verification and receiving a $250 bonus for completing lvl 2 verification. I have been using the site for almost 4 years and I have invested a lot of time and energy into my account. Will I really lose access to my account if I don't verify by January? Sad

The only reason I signed up in the first place was to protect my privacy and I have had a lot of good memories using Stake, it would be unfortunate if I am forced to leave in the New Year. Undecided
Could you share the content of this email here please? Is it the same the content as the one of the blog mentioned by BitMaxz above?
What about their signature campaign participants? They will need to disclose their identity to Stake in order to participate to their campaign?  Huh Huh Huh
Stake will also know the identity of the Bitcointalk members who have formerly participated to their campaign if they want to continue to use this casino?
There is no need to share the email. What the OP is saying is true, users have until Jan 1st 2025 to comlete lv 2 verification or lose access to stake. Simple as that. If they complete the verification they get a bonus. If not, they lose their account.

Terms and conditions, site policies and all that fine prints can change anytime. The same goes for every platforms out there. Some are out of their control as some are caused by external factors like the growing stricter regulations for anything crypto. And I think even back then, stake has the clause indicating they could ask for KYC anytime. I'm curious where did you hear the 'never.'

But the good thing is, you still have time to move to another casino.

Unfortunately yes, you will lose the access of your account if you don't complete the level 2 KYC verification at Stake within this year. Stake has made the KYC verification mandatory for all the users. I also give priority to my privacy, but I have completed my level 2 KYC verification at Stake as I like to play there on a regular basis. There are a lot of users like us who didn't want to complete the KYC verification at Stake, but many of us have done it as we don't want to lose our Stake account.
But why? It is by force to level up? Since they have placed amount to those who like to level up, they should have left it for those who are willing and I don't see a reason of forcing people to level up. I am suspecting that this is an another way of freezing, banning and blocking those who don't want to level. It is better to ask for KYC when someone is withdrawing huge amount or ask them in the registration process and only to update it time to time. Though you are not the first person to do the KYC upgrade. We have seen it from other people in the main thread. But threatening people not level up and if they didn't they can't access their accounts is the part I don't like.

privacy should focus on decentralized gambling sites, this way you will not have anything to border about privacy and also you will be free from all the verification thing, playing with full privacy, but this can't happen on stake since stake is a regulated gambling sites and their license rules mandate them to verify their player's at each point in time.
But have you seen a decentralized gambling site before? I have not seen one before. All the gambling sites that I have seen before, both web2 and Web3 are all centralized. But there are non-KYC gambling sites.

I don't know if you don't verify until January, will you lose access? Of course it could be, so in the email letter Stake confirmed the security and features that will be provided to those who verify KYC 2.
If Stake states already to verify before a deadline date, if you do not get verified, it is simple to know that the person will not be able to access the site after the deadline date.

Honestly, I myself have done KYC at Stake because I often play here and get bonus offers too after doing it, to maintain privacy of course our wishes if they insist and the casino is a favorite then it is difficult to oppose it.
When the time frame is done, he may likely lose access to some key features and even posibily not be able to look at g into that account, the reason stake takes such steps against none kyc accounts is that, they have some form of possibility and suspension before asking for tier two verification from a member.

For example, stake may not ask you for verification if your account did not act is a suspected ways, and not trigger the kyc verification demands, so before such verification are demanded, their already have everything in place and made up terms for such an account and that is why, there is a time frame to meet up with the verification demand.

As you have completed lvl2 KYC verification you are in VIP sector and for those who are in VIP sector there is help line system where you can raise your problem and get your problem solved.

Stake has recently upgraded their security system, it is definitely a good security system for customer service. As far as I know about Stake they are providing very good service to their customers you may get some bonus from them for completing lvl 2 but next time you will have no problem if you have doubt about this you can contact their support. You can know the matter clearly.

If you are doing lvl 2 KYC then I would say you should be here because you are getting good service from here he should be with it and if you are not here it's your personal matter if you like any other game then go for it but for me. It seems that if you have completed level two then you are a VIP member in east then you will get good facilities here and I think you need to stay here.

It all depends on what they stated from their condition attached to the need arising for you to make the level two verification, but since its something which i believe that you should have, then there is no need of you finding it difficult to fulfil, because without giving the due and adequate compliance, they may lay some restrictions on your account like that of withdrawal limit or embargo.

Why not verify the KYC? To be honest, $250 is a lot.
They simply want to prevent someone from using their casino with mixed coins, and they are following AML because they are a licensed casino and must adhere to the regulations.

Can you share us the email information ?

I think you are late, cause these promotion is for few weeks ago. I also got these and already receive my 250$ & If not wrong the deadline is around 10 October, but to make sure needed to share some screenshot of your email promotion.

Have you tried to read it directly from stake.com under KYC?
Here's what they said "Please complete KYC verification Level 2 by the 31st of December 2024."
It was posted on May 22, 2024, so the information you receive is incorrect.

I also haven't completed level 2 verification, and yes, even if I don't access my account, it doesn't matter because I think privacy should still be maintained, most people who do verification are because their accounts are high level so it would be a shame if they didn't do KYC

I don't know what you mean by losing your account. But as other forum members already said, you will need to complete the KYC, otherwise you won't be able to do anything with your stake account. I didn't want to say you will lose your account because even if you do not complete the KYC by the end of this year, I guess Stake will give opportunity to the users to complete the KYC whenever they try to get back access to their account.

So, you might lose access to your Stake account if you do not complete your KYC. But if you change your mind in the future, you might be able to do the KYC and regain access to your Stake account. For more details, you should contact Stake live chat and your VIP host.

Perhaps he thinks that if he is not doing the level 2 verification then he will get his account suspended/blocked or even deleted.
I'm not quite sure about the information given in the email but I've heard that Stake players who do not complete the level 2 verification will not be able to play again at Stake but I do not know if Stake will delete the accounts or not (I believe Stake will always give a chance).
Logically Stake wont let their valuable players go that easy, at least Stake will try to offer some extension for the KYC process for those who have not completed the KYC starting from New Year.

if you don't want to follow the new regulations from Stake, then you may have to switch to another casino. you won't lose your account, but you may not be able to have fun with your bets at Stake.
there is still time to do it, maybe you have other betting sites that you also trust. you can compare them with Stake. no one will force you to do KYC, all your choices. some users get bonuses from KYC, it is a form of Stake's effort to retain its users. although I am sure there will still be some users who think like you.

Friend, it is all the rules from the casino that you are required to do KYC, and as we know, casinos that already have a name have also implemented KYC to be able to make withdrawals in certain amounts, so if you don't want your privacy to be published then there is no other choice but to lose your account, it is really unfortunate in my opinion.

Yes, as stated in the email. You can't access it anymore, Stake right now already asking user for "KYC" even for new member they ask those in the front (before can play).

Actually, they extended it and sent new emails t players that didn’t verify in time, I read about that on Reddit. Not sure how often the keep extending it though, there might be a limit.
It’s sad they took this measure but it is what it is. Guess they want to prevent bonus abuse and so on, isn’t it always about the bots according to Eddie?  Grin
I verified a long time ago and couldn’t even take advantage of this promo but I can imagine it must be annoying to have an account with a decent vip level and maybe lose it. I mean not completing to verify is your choice, but maybe there is also a reason for that. Read about many Americans on Reddit that have old stake accounts which they can’t verify. Being from a banned region is no fun.

So that means, if the users don't want him to have a problem with the stakes, he should just follow what the stakes management tells him to do? since those rules have been around for a long time, because you yourself have been verified there for a long time.

Therefore, it's really legit that Stakes is really asking their users to do that. Sorry,  I'm not a regular user of Stakes; that's why I asked this and was also told, so what the OP should do is pass the KYC since he already gave it an extension on this matter?

Most times if a gambling site keeps sending you several mails to verify your account it shows that you are making huge withdrawal that is higher than your current level limits, or may you are constantly requesting for withdrawal which they felt it could be an attempted from hackers or someone trying to force themselves into your account. I really do not see anything wrong if stake.com asked to further verify your documents or passing through their level 2 kyc, and we must also have it in mind that most casinos/gambling site do request kyc to keep their regulations.

So for sure it's cool if you give up privacy as you assumed and put out the necessary documents to verify your account to avoid being locked out along the line.
