First time I have seen him fight was against LaCosta in UFC 253 back in November of last year.
But that seems like a life time ago though. Undecided

To be honest his opponents weren't the toughest. He has a perfect score but that doesn't mean anything if you're not fighting against the best. Like you're saying this is going the be the time when the opponents get tougher and more experienced. Fedor had 25 fights in 9 years and won all of them and then he started losing. Maybe Adesanya is a prodigy who doesn't lose? I doubt it but time will tell.
If you compare opponents, Blachowicz fought tougher ones.

Anyway, congratulations Stake for getting such a good representative.

He will be in a different territory, but I don't think his power and his skills will change, we will still see Adesanya in great forms doing a lot in the ring, it's hard to catch Adesanya and Adesanya, knows that fighters from light heavyweight are heavy puncher, so I'm sure he will concentrate in keeping the match at bay and hit when the opponent least expected it, just like he did to Costa.

Adesanya is worth the risk, moving up to another level only means that he wanted to achieved more and he's more hunger to win.

Yes you're right ene1980, as he is climbing one category above his past statistics shouldn't be overvalued, his striking will certainly be less performant and it won't be so easy to get a KO while he doesn't seem to be a spectacular grappler.

You cannot convince yourself simply because he is an undefeated fighter does not mean that he will remain unbeaten. What i like about Israel Adesanya is the way in which he is trying to challenge himself and make the fight look easy and if he was looking to build the records for undefeated numbers he could have stayed in his division but he is moving up in weight class and challenging and it is going to be a fantastic fight.
