Anyways, as you had said, Let's move on to the next challenge for the Stylebender!
And that is a showdown with Pereira and it should be scheduled before the summers end come September.
If Dana is greedy enough to squeeze in another hot card as he had done two times in a row thus far.
I was having this same conversation in the main MMA section and most people there think this fight is too soon for Pereira so if Dana is greedy he should also be prepared to upset people if he makes this happen though right?

I have not seen for myself all of the fighters or if they have others more 'deserving' than Pereira so I guess we just have to wait and see. So you mean it is not usual to have these types of fights so soon?
I was beginning to think about it in a similar way but after watching this video from a experienced MMA fighter and who has fought for Dana White before. He would know how the system works and what the UFC and Dana wants and that is fans in the seats and those PPV flowing in ASAP.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3I5bPM__qHU

Some very good points made but there is a slim chance that Kazmat might fight one of these guys first.
It all depends on daddy warbucks does and if he is hurting from now til September.
Meaning which matchup would make him the most possible profit in the shortest amount of time.

Yes submission is always a possibility as this is what grapplers are taught to be on the look out for so to end the match as early as possible.
Israel never let him get close enough to even try and Cannonier is all about those ground attacks.
He just kept him at a distance and landed points as you had stated. It was a one way contest in this respect.

I just read above and saw that your guy only submitted people twice, the last time 9 years ago, so I have to say calling him a submission machine is not quite right  Grin I mean of course it is always a possibility but I think in the case of Cannonier it was never realistic in a huge match against the title holder right? Hence 25x odds.

Anyway, points win, who cares, Israel does not. I am really looking forward to see next match but like everyone says pls Israel, fight more exciting?
If watching any of the training videos he had done you will see he wanted to grapple more in the his fighting style and after saying he will surprise Adesanya then you had to put two and two together.
But as you and the oddsmakers had proposed with a huge 25x on the option for a sub and even a highly unlikely scenario of him winning the bout against Israel, it was not likely to happen. But as with anything in the UFC..
ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN!
So never count out something not happening my friend.

congratulations to stake.com.
this is really great news when stake.com and MMA fighter adesanya become the first crypto collaboration in MMA.
stake has a very good marketing by collaborating with the israel UFC fighter champions. this is something very extraordinary development stake.com

by the way, after i saw the video, i concluded that adesanya has a very fierce and extraordinary mentality. he was able to knock out his opponent in the second round in the 3rd minute. and when fighting, adesanya was very calm against his opponent, but when adesanya gave resistance to his opponent he immediately finished him mercilessly and swiftly. i really like adesanya style Kiss

After watching the media day which is still going on for the rest of the fighters (there alot to talk about) I have changed my mind about Israel 100% winning this title fight on July 2.
After listening to what Jared had to say, and rewatching what he had done to Brunson at UFC 271 earlier this year. I would have to say Cannonier has a good shot at winning this bout.
Vegas has put Adesanya at 4 to 1 to beat him so they are already sold on him winning outright.
I have them on a parlay I had made and have this match not going the distance. Because Cannonier is a submission machine and if it goes to the ground it can be over very quickly for Israel.
So you are saying this will be all about Cannonier trying to get a submission victory,,, while Israel will do his best to just land points and take it to the end.
Makes a lot of sense but then this way I would say Israel has the advantage as he has plenty of time to run around and land points. Maybe even KO if Cannonier is too focused on the submission win.

I don’t know rdbase, most UFC fans I know think Israel is way too good of a striker for this to be very close.

Curious, how you see Cannonier as a submission machine, having only 2 in his career and the last one in 2013.  Add to the fact that Izzy never been submitted, ever, so I hope you grab those 25/1 odds if you think this is a possible outcome, bro.
Submissions can be done at anytime and he did say he wanted to try different things so yeah, it was possibly and no, I didn't take it by submission as the odds for him to win outright were good enough and rising by the time the match started inflating to a massive @5.20x and I did take him at that.

So we will see Adesanya vs Pereira, the question now is when.

Look at Israel lying on the canvas after fighting Alex.

Just LOOK AT HIM. You can decide if Israel will stand a chance against this guy as he is getting better and better after each and every fight he has had since reaching the UFC, bruvh!

Doesn't sound realistic at all.   In fact, I'm so confident it doesn't happen that I'll give you (rdbase) 10-1 odds it won't

Now I definitely know I've been losing enough now that I actually recognise all three names here (and not Pereira's)!

Sorry to muscle in on the action, brother, but can I take a pop at this with rdbase at 15/1?

Your on! Grin
I'll take on all challengers. Adesanya wants to fight instead of spending his time putting out videos on his youtube channel just watching and commentating before these UFC events happen for the past year.
Some interesting links to read up on Pereira if you had never heard of him or seen him fight before:
https://www.espn.com/mma/story/_/id/32184507/alex-pereira-only-fighter-knock-israel-adesanya-signs-ufc
https://www.sportskeeda.com/mma/news-what-happened-times-ufc-newcomer-alex-pereira-fought-israel-adesanya

Also something he (Adesanya) had said about him facing off with Pereira back in early November of last year:

So that takes out one of those contenders listed.

Even with this rematch being months away it is gaining excitement for it with a video like this one for UFC 271:
UFC 271: Isreal Adesanya vs Robert Whittaker 2 - The Final Rematch | Extended Promo
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRT2SQAzYmM
Both guys are highly motivated going in their rematch but I predicted a win for the last stylebender Adesanya, he is a more polished fighter and he is getting better in that division, I like to see him getting his revenge against the guy who knocks him out, and wants to see him a champion when he meets Alex Pereira, it will be more exciting between the two and the whole UFC community if they meet in a championship match.
Alex Pereira is fighting again for this week's event at Vegas 50.
Here is the breakdown of each fighter:
He is inching closer to his showdown with Adesanya and if he win this one he will probably have a title shot by the end of the summer.
I dunno man, you think the #31 ranked Middlewight with a 4-1 record is going to fight for the UFC Middleweight championship in 6 months?

He's going to go ahead of the likes of:

  Robert Whittaker
  Jared Cannonier
  Marvin Vettori

Google says Dana White has confirmed that Jared Cannonier will be next in line for Israel Adesanya after his title defence at UFC 271.

Cannonier has always been a tough bastard tbh, he will not be an easy fight for the champ. I’m pretty sure I read that he has an 80% stoppage rate so it’s going to be a real test for the champ.
Sure, but why another fight rematch with two of those you had mentioned less than a year later?
Cannonier in June (from the UFC based channels I have been following) since his last fight is three and a half months later then Pereira in September doesn't seem unreasonable.
"As for when Adesanya vs. Cannonier might happen, the champion said on Saturday that he wants to fight again in June, which would be UFC 275."
source: https://middleeasy.com/mma-news/jared-cannonier-earned-next-shot-israel-adesanya

As we all know Dana loves his money and he tries to squish as many big fights with a huge draw in a year when he can.

Just watching the ceremonial weigh ins of this UFC event rematch and it seems Israel does have the momentum swinging in his favor.
He is definitely the favorite to take it tomorrow night in Houston which is promising to be a match up not to miss.
And yes, I do see Alex Pereira the one to give him the most difficulty in his fights for the foreseeable future.
This match is going to be really interesting, particular for the gamblers. As Adesanya is the global brand ambassador for Stake, they've given some promotion for a tripple winning on the bets placed on Adesanya. I've made a bet over Adesanya which makes me watch the fight. As said, everything looks favouring Adesanya because of his record 21 wins against the one loss.
