He still deserves to be an ambassador and his worth as an ambassador hasn't changed, it's not the end of the road for Adesanya, he is still a champion and still the best middleweight champion, I don't see anyone in UFC who can give Adesanya a decent match in the middleweight, congratulation to Jan Blanckowicz, it's a great win and a dominant one.
I agree and he should not move to another weight division, it was a good attempt and the fight was close, it's not like he got dominated by Błachowicz. He is still going to be a big favorite for anyone in his original weight division.

Objective view from a guy who never knew either guy, I think Israel's as good as any when it comes to character and personality, plus a games/brand ambassador always has to have the right fit. I'm sure they spoke to him long before they signed him, and if they clicked, then it's on!
Stake even offered thrice winnings if Adesanya wins early and I can't imagine how many guys must have lost because he lost the fight and because of the lucrative 3x offer I am sure almost everyone would have bet on Adesanya at stake. It feels bad to hire a guy and he loses his first fight just after you hired him but stake must have profited a lot from the gamblers as big bets must have been placed on Adesanya at stake as opposed to Jan Blachowicz.
Yes but he seems to have been quite severely injured by Blachowicz, and will certainly not being able to fight again in the coming months no matter the division. He got a medical suspension by the Nevada Athletic Commission lasting up to 6 months.

It could be a while until Israel Adesanya is able to defend his UFC middleweight title again.

Adesanya (20-1 MMA, 9-1 UFC) fell short in his pursuit of “champ champ” status when he lost a unanimous decision to light heavyweight champ Jan Blachowicz in the main event of UFC 259 in Las Vegas. “The Last Stylebender” will need doctor clearance for his left foot and ankle or he could be looking at up to six months on the sidelines.

Personally, I think it is better to look for sponsorship in sports that have a lot of effort, such as football and hockey. I can also imagine that it is difficult to get a foothold there. A sponsorship with a well-known football club naturally costs a lot of money. Then this in itself is not a bad idea.
Probably you haven't seen the most recent partnership of Stake with UFC. If you haven't seen it, check the post.

That seems to be par as what you're thinking about football and hockey.
Unfortunately I think too many people are still not aware of this announcement while this kind of official partnership really matters for the reputation of a (crypto) casino, I hope that will be mentioned in our Stake signatures soon.
Yeah. Maybe they're not aware of it but at least they will have an idea about stake's partnership not only with Israel but also with UFC.

Actually, weekends are the best time at stake for a while because we all get our weekly bonus on Saturday, and then we also get to see Eddie streaming so I like the point Eddie made on his stream that weekends are quite important at stake and UFC fights are always on weekends so getting sponsorship of UFC actually makes sense.

I get my bonus on weekend and depending on how big my bonus is, I either make a multi or I just bet fight by fight if the bonus is bigger. One thing I wish could change was the settlements of bets to get faster because we have to skip 1 fight in between. Like if I bet on 1st fight of the night then I have to skip 2nd fight and only get to bet on 3rd fight as the bet settlement happens a touch late.
Don't you worry, the owners are also on this thread and reading each of our comments. Maybe there will be a way to solve that wish you've said.

Unfortunately "our" Stake ambassador lost his first fight of this partnership, I don't really understand why Stake chose this guy actually, a lady like Amanda Nunes would have been a more original, modern (and smarter) choice IMHO.
Bro, please stop! This guy Adesanya is a legend and earned even more respect in my eyes after the fight in the way he accepted his defeat and didn't even give excuses about moving to a new weight class as the reason for his loss. I believe anyone would have agreed when Dana said there was a size difference but this guy Adesanya respectfully disagreed and said no I have no excuses for my loss and took it like a champion. How many guys accepted a defeat in a big event like that, I believe none.

Actually, yeah after seeing the opponent's figure. There's  a lot of difference from their weight and size. And there's  a good reason behind for sure why Stake has chosen Izzy Adesanya as being an ambassador. I also respect the guy even he loss his fight recently. And I never regret that I bet decent amount with him. Sports is part of a gambling and we all know that we can't really predict the game until it was finished.

Adesanya deserves to be acclaimed and admired. As this partnership goes well and Adesanya's first ever ambassador of Stake, this will certainly produce a good reputation and a good rapport for sports and gambling.

Good to hear that Stake is an official partner of the UFC and i checked during the last fight card whether we will see the Stake banner in the stadium but i did not find, do you think we will see a banner in the coming fights and on what capacity they are partners.
You can read the official announcement in english there

Under the terms of the agreement, Stake.com will become UFC's first-ever "Official Betting Partner" in Latin America (excluding Brazil) and Asia
So I'm not sure you will see some banners from Stake unless you are watching TV from an asian or latin american country, or the contest is taking place in one of those countries IMO

There is also an announcement on the UFC website but it is in spanish only.

You were a fan of Israel Adesanya and now you think that he is not the best ambassador, watch his old tapes and you will understand why you should like him as a fighter, his striking skills is above anyone else in his division and he is basically a striker without zero ground skills before debuting in MMA and you need to respect Jan Błachowicz who is a black belt in BJJ and has the wrestling pedigree along with his striking and his size advantage.
Israel Adesanya always liked to test his skills and he came up short in a higher weight division which is around 20 pounds higher than his division and that does to take away his greatness as a fighter in his division.

Before his first loss he was
-undefeated
-KO specialist
-has huge potential
He was undefeated in MMA and he liked the challenges, he has over 100 professional fights and you cannot say that he had the potential for someone who had over 100 fights, he is a talent and his only loss comes when he moves up in weight division, when he fights in his weight division there is no one to challenge him and he always demolishes his opponents and he will continue to do so until some contender pops up who has a wrestling background and i always thought that only Khamzat Chimaev posses a threat if he climbs the ladder and now he is not fighting anymore due to his corona complications he has not potential danger in his division.

I have watched the bout and this match reminded me of the first match of AJ and Andy Ruiz not because Jan Błachowicz is like Andy Ruiz but Adesanya surely is like Anthony Joshua during that match. He was like AJ in a way where he wasn't himself or you will see that he has no confidence during the match he simply wasn't in his game this time and I think that is one of the biggest reasons why he didn't pull out an amazing win.
You cannot compare this to AJ and Ruiz fight as Israel Adesanya was moving up in weight division and it is not like boxing where the upper weight division is a few pounds away, he was fighting a fighter who was clearly 20 pounds above his division and he was dominated in the ground game and with the weight difference he could dominate in the ground, in the stand up the fight was really close .

the man is still a champion. He is going to go back to middleweight while he plans a return to LHW, the story is far from over he is motivated and skilled enough to be one of the greatest of all time that's why we chose him and will continue to stick by him.
Good to see you support him despite the loss, really appreciate it. Most of the time people hate someone because they lost a fight and dump them, I am sure he is still almost unbeatable in the Middleweight so amazing to see you are sticking with a guy who lost his fight after signing a deal with you.

I guess Poland is celebrating bringing down such a prize, someone's out there is always happy at the result .

I might say that there is not so much to celebrate. It was a title defense, but against a guy who is smaller. It is like being proud of winning over younger brother.

Current light heavyweight division is rather weak. If Jon Jones was still active, Jan would not stand all 5 rounds against him. And in the time of Liddell, Ortiz, Evans, Jackson, Couture, no would even know about Jan.

I'm not defending Adesanya, nor is his fan, but victory over is not a "such a prize" to celebrate.

Izzy Adesanya is a rising star so maybe Stake thinks that it is good that they are going to incorporate their name with him on his rise to the scene, I believe that Stake is taking the slowly-but-surely approach. Your choice could be good but I think that there is a deeper reason for Stake to choose Izzy, maybe they Stake will see your post and they might consider Amanda for another sponsorship.

Amanda Nunes is a beast no doubt, but I guess if she lost you would be bad-mouthing her right now. Stop juding people based on the results they produce.

You can't really say something like that mate, Adesanya losing the game doesn't necessarily mean he is a chaos, beside, the excessive hype on him gets him down, fighting itself is a game of tool, so Adesanya jumping up to a natural fighter that had been there for years wouldn't guarantee him of winning, fighting is not a game of hype, Adesanya was hyped and that can't let you win in the ring, you have to be calculative when fighting. Nevertheless, stake knows the reason why he was choosing so definitely, his next fight would be greater and successful.

You don't see anyone in middleweight division able to challenge Adesanya? You should be careful I think, because no one thought he could be beaten so easily by Blachowicz either. Moreover several LHW fighters could go down to MW to face him, and WW fighters too.

Well, it's my opinion, what I say is I cannot think of any fighter that is in the middleweight right now that can give him a decent match the closer could have been was Costa but he did not gave Adesanya a decent match when they met, the bout between him and Jan is different because it is in the light heavyweight, Adesanya is not invincible he cannot be, no one can be but so far he rule the division with total domination you can check his matches in the UFC, on Youtube.

I think it's still too early to determine if stake was right with picking Adesanya as the their brand ambassador. This morning's fight was their first and prior to that fight, he's been unbeaten.  Jan came out with a plan and strategy in mind to execute and got the results he wanted by being patiently while waiting to catch Izzy off guard and he did. Adesanya will be back guys. This was just a momentary lapse. Happens from time to time in everybody's career. You didn't all expect him to always win and not lose? Relax guys.
