It sounds like a personal purpose for me, so it is better if you create the group yourself to discuss anything as you wish. After you create it, you can create a topic on the official Stake's forum to inform about it and ask any members who want to join. If the group is made by Stake, I do believe that there will be so many members and the situation can be the same as you see on the English chat where you cant maintain single conversation. The simplest way, ask your friend to add you on telegram or vice versa. This way, you can get better single communication with your friend without worrying about spam.
But even sharing telegram ID is not allowed on stake and maybe you are not aware of that. I agree that making a telegram group might not be a great idea because people will spam and DM users with their sports picks and harass them.
I did not suggest him to share his telegram ID on stake, did I? But frankly speaking I do not know if it is not allowed to share telegram ID on Stake's chat, afaik there are some people share asking other's telegram ID but it seems to be something fine.
I would be willing to participate in a group like that, but when it is unofficial and someone else is the owner of that telegram group I wouldn't be interested as much. If stake has a professional one with admins and so forth (or called mods for group I suppose?) which is why I would say if stake would open a telegram group, that would be a lot better.
I think there is no need for gamblers to direct message each other because doing so the casino also risk losing it's players because if such group is made or direct messages are allowed in stake then people can always share other casinos and their referral links and hence stake losing their players without even knowing the cause.
There was a rule on the private message, no one is allowed to share referral link or any links which redirect to other sites (competitors) if I remember it correctly. Imo any chat on private/direct message is stored on a date where Stake can monitor it all the time, that's why there are many users got banned because share a link of competitors in both chatroom and direct message. Even if it is allowed, Stake wont lose their players without knowing the cause because I believe they what users talk about in the private message. As long as Stake knows what to do, they wont lose their player. If anyone want to invite Stake's users to other site, they do not need to do it by direct message on Stake. Anyone can do it by looking at the telegram group/channel and they can sent private message on telegram easily. All in all, I do not think private message on the site is not something risky for the site, it helps players to communicate with other players in a private way. I think the reasons why Stake removed the private message feature is because there are many scam attempts from some bad users by sending a phishing link to other users and/or too many users being scammed by defaulted loan which is dealt in private message.
