I been using this site for some two months now, liking it and I like how they made it easy to convert your USD into BTC and have it right away in your book. I have a suggestion though, since there is an option to very easily get usd into btc and into stake, can there be an option to convert the btc into usd, directly from stake? Would be cool, just an idea. Either way, I am liking state, best BTC book currently for me.

Since stake is a casino platform and not a ex-changer it would not be possible for stake to facilitate an exchange transaction. But they have 3rd party provider that can exchange most cryptocurrency from one to another.

Joker did something monumental indeed and rightfully deserves multiple Oscars, but it will probably only win 1 Oscar(Best actor) which makes sense considering how Phoenix was the heart of the movie. If you are willing to bet on it anyway, I recommend small amounts.

I never bet with high amounts. I'm thinking of something around 0.001 BTC, an amount I can afford to lose once in a while, but at the same time enough for a pretty good prize, in case of winning, 0.0125 BTC with the current odds, 12.50(which are down from the previous 14.50, by the way. Looks like more bettors have started to believe in Joker. Smiley )

same here i havent tried to bet over 100k sats coz i think 100k sats is only my max betting limit  .

right , there are games that can give lots of pay outs which you can make alot of money out of 100k sats  . odds 12.50 isnt bad , considering that its only a sport book . sport book usually dont have bigger payouts  .  the joker was also my bet and for sure many bettors also bet on this movie as its a popular film and the actors done a great job  .

Regarding your calling high grossing movies winning Oscars exceptions, well, maybe let's take a closer look at the Best Picture winners from the last 20 years.

Gladiator - $460.5 million

A Beautiful Mind - $313 million

Chicago - $306.8 million

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King - $1.120 billion

Million Dollar Baby - $216.8 million

The Departed - $291.5 million

Slumdog Millionaire - $377.89 million

The King's Speech - $414.2 million

Argo - $232.3 million

Green Book - $323.5 million

As you can see, 10 out of 19 Best Picture winners grossed over $200 million in the box office. So, those cases aren't that exceptional, in fact.
Honestly, grossing $200 million dollars is an alright achievement these days. The big ones start at $500 million and go upwards which is why only 2 movies qualify in this list(Gladiator and Lord of the Rings : Return of the King).

@Hanebu your analysis is correct because $200 millions is not considered a big achievement in today’s date, but I also cannot deny the fact that it takes lots of efforts for films to cross that barrier. Also I disagree with your opinion that Joker will only win one award at the Oscars, because I feel that film deserves to win multiple awards at the Oscar.

In the Dota 2 sports betting of the stake.com (this is on match Evil Geniuses vs Vici Gaming).
I want to ask about this part of the match (correct score in maps).
Anyone here tried to able to see this part even the game 1(map 1) is already done or already have the result for the game 1 (map 1).
Since for sure, the odds will be different once the first map is done but hoping to see it will be still available after the first game/first game of the match.
The live line for the correct scores rarely shows up from my observation and if there is the odds will be somewhat close to the map handicap or the moneyline depending on the scores available.
What I observed yesterday, for the grand finals of Dream League Season 13 (Leipzig Major) Evil Genuis vs Team Secret after the first map won by Evil Genuis. I didn't saw anymore this type of gambling match, what available left are those winner per maps not the total expected score of the series match.

Kobe news got me crying, I am 30 years old and there has been only 2 times when a celebrity died that had me cried, first was Robin Williams and now Kobe. It is also a lot worse because he was with GiGi when he died as well, can't think of what they were both thinking at the last seconds, and can't even start to imagine what his family is going through right now.

In order to get over that, about the movies, the reason why some movies are more inclined to get the "best picture" reward, think of it as "best director" award usually weights in more than best actor in many of them, 1917 is favorites so high because it is a movie where the movie is great by itself, Joker is amazing in itself but Joaquin made it such great and possibly future cult, without Joaquin it is just another movie, 1917 would be awesome whoever you put in it as actors.

I stand with Ukraine.
But I also know that some movies got both, big box office and Oscar for the Best Picture. Below are several latest examples:

“Forrest Gump” (1994) — $709.8 million(adjusted)

“Titanic” (1997) — $1.2 billion(adjusted)

“The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King” (2003) — $556.6 million(adjusted)
These are the exceptions basically and not the norm. Joker has good chances to win an Oscar(Won't deny that), but the competition is composed of veteran actors from Hollywood(Leo, Brad, Martin, Robert etc) which is why their chances of winning are way higher.

Maybe their chances are higher, but not as much as to not try your luck betting on Joker with 13.00 odds. I mean if the multiplier was 1.1x or something, I wouldn't bet on Joker because I too think that Parasite and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood are great movies which deserve Oscar for the Best Picture. But with 13x I will definitely bet on Joker.

Personally, I'm surprised that most bettors are favoring three movies, 1917, Parasite and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood above Joker. I think Joker is not just a good movie, it's a revolution in the world of cinema. To me it's an art-house film that grossed over $1 billion in the box office, which has never happened before. And officially it's the first R-rated film to do so. Such achievements deserve the highest awards imaginable (and Oscar for the Best Picture is one of them, of course).
I don't think its a revolution or anything, but it was a great movie which I thoroughly enjoyed thanks primarily due to Phoenix's acting. It rightfully deserves an Oscar, but it most probably won't win it since Oscars are not usually awarded to the most commercially successful movies which is why most bettors bet on the movies that you mentioned.

Don't get me wrong, I think Parasite and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood are great movies, and before I saw Joker, I thought one of them will get the prize. But now I think that Joker is beyond competition.
If collections were a major criteria, Marvel movies like Endgame would decimate the competition. Not many including me care about these awards to be honest. It all comes down to subjective taste at the end of the day. For example, I loved Endgame way more than any of the movies in this list.

It doesn't matter what we personally love or hate, and commercial success of the movies doesn't matter either, I understand that. But I also know that some movies got both, big box office and Oscar for the Best Picture. Below are several latest examples:

“Forrest Gump” (1994) — $709.8 million(adjusted)

“Titanic” (1997) — $1.2 billion(adjusted)

“The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King” (2003) — $556.6 million(adjusted)

So, I still think that Joker has a good chance of winning the Best Picture Oscar, and that the current odds on Stake, 14.50, are good odds to bet on this one.

Does this twitch thing make any sort of promotions for you guys? Like is it a good marketing? Considering all those bits and subs or whatever must be peanuts for you guys, I am 100% sure that is not done for money itself, it must be done for marketing purposes and I am not sure how to react to it. Not because it is bad, it is really cool to watch someone else gamble, just like watching someone else play a game (same logic I suppose) and seeing all those huge amounts versus what I really play, it is really fun to watch, yet I am not entirely sure if it encourages people to gamble.

I have found myself watching it over gambling multiple times now, maybe some people see it from twitch and after broadcast is over they come over register and gamble but to me a customer of stake already way before these started, it makes me stop gambling and start watching Cheesy.
