After checking my email inbox received two emails from stake about the Chirstmas festivities starting this week up until the 25th.
They started it off by offering a bonus in the new currency introduced a few days ago called tron.

That is what sets stake apart from other bookies, the cashout option. Had there not been a cashout option, that bet would have lost. So, he basically would have lost that bet if he would played in the majority of other books, if not all.
The cash out option is a good feature and Stake is not the only site that has that feature as sportsbet is also having the same feature in the crypto platform and the fiat based sports book all allow cash out option and it is a good feature to have but sometimes i do get confused when using live games that the option will not be visible in sportsbet but hopefully stake does have a transparent feature and hence that player was able to withdrew when the match went for over time.

I have to say that the website is EXTREMELY SLOW and heavy! Anyone else notice this too? All other webpages I have open in Chrome slow down too when I have stake.com open next to it. And the stake.com page itself is mega slow too. Am I the only one?

It look like only you are having this issue. I am able to open stake.com just as normal and there is no performance issues. You need to clear your cache and then try again.

You can see the ping result at my side.

guess who's back
can you please change the search function in sports ? I asked for it before but hope you consider it
missed so many games in stake due to not searching right , for example arabic teams names can be different in English like Muharraq can be Muharreq and many other different combinations
so if you start showing results when people type the first characters of the team's name that will be much better

like in the example I gave if I search in other sites "Muha" it will show me the game if it was offered while in stake I have to type the full name exactly in order to find the game

That's almost lottery odds.
Sadly bet wasn't bigger that would be complete experience Smiley

He won 0.5 BTC and that's a big amount. He wouldn't wish for anything more and for sure he was completely lucky to won this one. I do not think there is any think sad about it and there should be no regret that he could have bet with more amount.

i just notice that we can cash out our bet on sportsbook but is there any requirement about when we can cashout our bet?
Sometimes I see cash out available sometimes not. I still don't really understand how the system is. However, towards the end of the match he will usually be no longer available. So it is important for us to always monitor the status of our bets

Regarding monitoring bet, I would suggest setting up something like "Auto-cashout" system like one of the sportsbook here does. Will really save up time of many guys who constantly refresh their betslips for cashout to become available.

This was already answered by GekkeBelg here:

It's pretty simple, the same market where you bet on has to be open for betting to cashout. If for example you bet on normal handicap line but this market is currently closed while only the asian handicap markets are open, then you cannot cashout.

There is always a kind of feature in sportsbet, probably because they might have the same odds provider.
Cash out features is good because if you feel you are not confident anymore with your bet, you can still get something and you will not loss, this is good actually for parlay bets with bigger odds.. I have tried the cash out with one bet also but you will be getting a lower amount than your original bet.

that one in the picture is whale in sports betting. 2 btc for a bet, that's insane.

amazing ,one bet +15.000 $
not only a lucky sports bettor , also some sort of a visionaire , well predicted that the game was not going to be in his favour
wow this guy has some guts , let it ride and cashed out at the final moment ( probably )
and it was the right decision , 4 btc is way better than 0  if he stayed

as visionaire as the legendary hufflepuff?  Cheesy
this is unbleievable , how could he knew the result will not going to be in his favour?  so he decided to cash the bet out, that must be a big mistake for the market to offer such good opportunity to pullout from the game.
or not  Cheesy

one thing that can answer this , it was just pure luck.
that bet trigger me to do the same thing -of course with far lower bet amount-
do you guys have any promotion for the sportsbetting this weekend?

yeah  , it depends on the current result and the state of the bets , I guess
sometimes you can cashout with a loss , sometimes with a profit , depends on how their system evaluates the odds of the outcome of the game(s) left
and it is not possible to cashout when Live bets are in play and a team is scoring or an event takes place that changes the score , like a penalty , for example
but it is usually the best to see the game through unless you are totally positive it is going to be a loss so this way you triage the damage to your funds

Knicks won so that slip became a loss for 2 bitcoins, that is how little the margin of error is in sportsbooks, it looked like warriors might win the game whole game but then Knicks rallied back and won it. If he won that would have been a great win for the sportsbook community in general showing how high the wins could get.

We have seen people gamble a whole lot on dice and win as well but we didn't get a huge win from the sportsbook just yet, I know with time that will happen but 2 bitcoin bet on sportsbook was the biggest I have seen. In any case I am sure one day we will get a 10+ bitcoin win on sportsbook as well, we just need time, sports is more difficult than just playing on dice which requires only luck and one click so that is more common than sportsbook wins.

Actually the player was able to cashout for a 2.3BTC profit Smiley. But pretty insane watching the Kings hit a 3 pointer to secure the win in his third game, then watching GS land a crazy three pointer to push overtime.

I'm definitely going to try out this site!

Since how long do they offer Sportsbetting? I never realized they offered that.

Edit: looks like a clear copy of Sportsbet.io indeed! Not that it's a bad thing btw.

May I ask Stake.com, why do you have listed "asian total" and then only offer "normal totals"? I see you offer Over/Under 1,5, 2,5 and 3,5 goals (which are called normal totals usually) and you do not offer quarter balls such as Over/Under 3,25 and 2,75 and 2,25 etc. (those one are actually called asian totals). Why is this? If you are copying odds from Sportsbet, why not copy over those markets as well? The more offer, the better!

They're not copying odds directly from Sportsbet. They use the same provider I believe and within that provider, they can choose the markets (and margins) that they want to offer. I'm guessing that they don't want to copy quarter point markets because it can be very confusing to new bettors ("I bet under 3.25 and the game ended 2-1 but my bet was only a half win!"). Nitrogen has a similar policy of not offering quarter point markets.

Interesting theory (of not wanting to "confuse" their customers) but then it would not explain why they DO offer quarter ball asians on pre-match markets. The only part where they leave them out is in livebetting.

My bad, I don't usually bet live so I haven't noticed this difference. Might be worth sending a support request to ask (since I don't think they really do support on the forum) as I'm guessing they can enable it easily if they want to and support seems to be quite responsive.

Depends on system to read score and markets. In case games goes and whistle hasn't sounded, the sign of the game is over, then type your bets available still on market you can do cashout but not 100% from your odds. the cashout will be gone if the games almost over or injury time.
