9 Connections and wallet stopped syncing. Tried repairwallet came back true. Been syncing over 24 hours was getting it good and last I noticed I was maybe 3 days from sync. And now it's just sitting there doing nothing.
In the debug window I see current number of blocks raising. But the est. number of blocks shows 844747 and has been there for almost an hour now.

I am trying to setup a p2pool. However when I try to execute the run_p2pool.py --starcoin cmd, it says invalid choice and to choose another coin. Any idea how to add starcoin to the list of coins p2pool can run?
I suggest you take a look inside https://github.com/forrestv/p2pool/tree/master/p2pool/networks and https://github.com/forrestv/p2pool/tree/master/p2pool/bitcoin/networks - I think you'll find you need to create a new coin configuration, and the examples in that folder should help you get going.

http://dutchpool.org now also offers STR, running NOMP pool at only 1% fee, all pools using vardfiff, no signup needed.
just a guess, but i would say
update your wallet to latest, then add the addnodes shortlisted above.
(my wallet is updating nicely with 11 connections or so)

Sorry I haven't been pushing out updates as quickly as I Intended, I have been very busy at work and with family. I will try to get v1.7.2 out soon, It will include the optimizations to the block tree which should cut loading time down dramatically (less than a minute to load hopefully). I am also looking into implementing some sort of assisted difficulty re-targeting.

I have been busy with work so I haven't been able to finish v1.7.1 as soon as I hoped. I just have to test it out to make sure everything is working properly. I am hoping to release v1.7.1 by the end of the day today. Also I have decided to roll the block tree optimization into 1.7.2 which will decrease the sync time and wallet opening time dramatically.
Also in regards to using addnode, it should not be needed anymore since IRC is now working. I will remove the IRC support in a later version and replace it with a few dns seeds.
Edit: There is a temporary block crawler @ http://block.directory until we get an ABE block explorer up

Just download the Windows version of the wallet. It should work I think, or doesn't it?
I still have to get my wallet synching again (by adding nodes probably), but I'm way too busy nowaydays. I think most of the wallets are working fine now.
