HODL! If it isn't a grudge...
This is really interesting. A CryptoNight coin that does not require the use of payment-ID  Smiley

I think I will point my miners on this one for a week or so. And hope for big development in the future Tongue

Anyone try solo mining on wallet?
How much time need to have result?

Hope future GUI wallet can have selection of minning from 10% CPU start,  50% quite high for me to do multi task pc

You can set CPU percentage while start mining in wallet-cli by run the following command
Code:
start_mining []

Hey Guys another question, my wallet still says out of sync in yellow letter and it has been sitting like this for hours now. Do I need to do anything or should I just leave the wallet open? Is there a blockchain I can dl to get it to sync faster as well?

If all else fails, and assuming your OS is Windows, you can try the following:

1. close the daemon and wallet
2. delete data.mdb and lock.mdb from the directory C:\ProgramData\edollar\lmdb
3. restart daemon - remember to run it in administrator mode (ie - right click on edollard.exe, chose "Run as Administrator")
4. once daemon reports it is synced, run wallet client as administrator (edollar-wallet-cli.exe).

THanks for the help guys, yea I figured it out shortly after I posted (like I normally do when it comes to asking questions haha) I just needed to wait a little bit longer and my wallet synced up fine I now see my balance in there.

Also when is the ETA that this coin will be added to coinmarketcap/markets?

What about cryptonia and coinsmarkets.com exchanges ?
I think Electronic Dollar need to be listed here too . many people have problems with stocks.exchange .
more exchanges  more better.
Good luck guys . i follow the project . hope to buy 1mac with 10 EDC . maybe one day !

Considering CM is having issues at the moment and it costs hundreds of thousands to list on cryptopia, I don't think either is likely at the moment.

You say that Edollar based on Monero project which but you eliminate the redundancies, mistakes and make it easy to use. So I want to clarify that fact what exactly mistakes did you accounte and correct? This is not an ICO but dev's contribution is great. Only one question is that why total supply are 7,632,819,325 EDC?

We've already answered this question, just copy it here

You mentioned that the project is based on monero without the redundancies. Could you please highlight what redundancies you are talking about?
Please checkout our source code in gitbub and use diff command to see how much different between EDC and Monero. We have removed many functions related to hard fork version (ei: if hard_fork1 then else if hard_fork2 then ...). In Monero source code, when process transaction it needs to check if it is version 1 or 2, or if it use ringCT or not and so on ... It makes the serialized object large and obviously redundant to EDC. We've also removed the build-in donate function and not using payment id, integrated address, so many functions related to extract_extra_data to find payment id/integrated address also removed.
If you look into the binary size of Monerod/Monero-wallet-cli and Edollard/Edollar-wallet-cli you'll see that Monero's size is about three time bigger than Edollar.
You'll also see that there are some function like "fixup" in Monero source code. One of the example is the problem with block 202612 which could not be validated by the nodes. This is not happened to EDC.
In fact, there's many more, but I think it is enough for you question.

Awesome, This is not an ICO but dev's contribution is great. Only one question is that why total supply are 7,632,819,325 EDC? Is there something special with that number?
7,632,819,325 is the world population by July 1th 2018 (source: http://www.worldometers.info/world-population/). So at that time, everyone in the world has opportunity to get 1 coin Cheesy
In fact, every parameter in EDC has been considered carefully, ex: With the total supply of 7,6B It's better to say that "this Macbook costs 10 EDC" rather than saying "this Macbook costs 0.00142 BTC".

put this in FAQ

great project . waiting for GUI wallet

I joined Edollar team and dev GUI wallet, It will be released in the early of next month, please wait.

Great news.  Can't wait for this to hit stocks.exchange!

Can someone give me the cli wallet command for recovering wallet from seed?  Thx.

That's awesome it will give the project more visibility. Next step would be to get to an exchange.

i think, it's now in process
