Well the latest case with crypto influencers is now becoming a topic on social media.  American social media influencer Logan Paul had many people invest in his crypto NFT project 'CryptoZoo' before pulling a 'rug pull'.
At beginning of this year he promised to pay back $1.5 Million to compensate his investors. Now the year is almost over and there has still been no money returned to them.
There is many lawsuits for these celebrities so now we are not seeing so many crypto influencers. I think it is good they are being sued like the ones from FTX and other scam projects.

Yes they should be booked and spend some time in prison as well. It had become a trend that everyone especially celebrities started and they were successful in fooling so many people and followers to buy their project. Recently Christina Ronaldo was sued on similar NFT related lawsuit.

Glad that they are being held accountable and iny eyes they are no different than Sam Bankman-Fried as they all loote their investors and should be handed same punishment.

Now celebrities are shedding away from crypto projects but it's these so called experts who have gaine lot of followers have taken over he job and deceiving people for like and views, selling heir subscription. Educating people at such high level is not possible without government's support but definitely these scammers should be hounded.

No service is free in Cryptocurrency. All crypto influencers charge a fee to promote a project. And what they do for money can never be honest advice. This is a major source of their income. So I don't follow any such influencers.
If they're saying that they're not charged to promote, don't believe with that word.

These influencers are making money from influencing their audiences and fans with anything they say. And if they truly are not paid to do that, there could be some x deal behind that.

Or way better offer than being paid but like having a share on how much it will be for the percentage of profit after the promotion done by them.
Those influencers get paid after advertising any coin aside from advertising cryto influencers don't just advertise a product just because they love the product they get paid for advertising, the worst part is most influencers don't even know the purpose of the coin, I don't think they own any coin, I will not blame influencers rather I will blame credulous investors.
It depends on the kind of influencer or coin sometimes most people get lucky in the process it all depends on the coin, while some investors after encountering loss in the market they will choose to share their story for others to learn, this topic has been the common topic it's best to discuss topics like this so everyone can learn.

I thinkcit's the influencer who's been paid to promote an obvious scam is the worst. People who are entering crypto pump groups has atleast an idea on what they are doing but the victims of these influencers are newbies in majority that don't have any clue on what they are doing, they are just following the influencer instructions. Influencers tends to bring non-crypto in the cryptospace and teach them to invest on the project they are promoting, most non-crypto followers would think that it's legit given that the influencers has so many followers and gain reputation on what he is doing. It's just so bad.
The promotional money influencers on YouTube receive from the projects promoted on their channels and from YouTube Ads is their primary motivation, and their goal is not to benefit the inexperienced investors who will watch the promotional video and follow their paid recommendations and risk their money. At the end of these videos, you may come across a disclaimer meant to absolve this influencer to evacuate legal accountability: "It is not investment advice." Also, the influencers who own paid recommendation channels on Telegram and pump-and-dump Groups are people hired by the project's currency team. In some cases, they might even be the project's founders themselves.

It is best to avoid making investment decisions through the recommendations of these paid influencers because these recommendations will most likely drag people into scam traps and obtain false recommendations and expectations, thus transferring money from their followers to the pockets of the scammers.

The important point to realize is that it is impossible for them to do it for free because in the end this is just a promotion to increase their profits wrapped in a lot of words that encourage and convince that the project they say is worthy when in fact this is a trap for those who do not really understand crypto, especially investing in shitcoin but want to do it and hope that when they see those so-called "influencers" it really gives an honest view of a project.
It is difficult to warn people like this because they are only fixated on the words of others which are deceitful.

90% of those YouTubers are doing this for the money but...

1. Not all of them are getting paid, there is one that talks only about IEO launchpad projects, get into the launchpad and sell once trading starts, this way easy 2x is possible.

2. Any project that promised 2x or more can't be trusted, they probably have nothing good to offer and all they can do is use words like this to lure new crypto investors.

Lol, yeah. I have been a victim when I was newly introduced to crypto. What I do now is look into those coins that will be listed on good exchanges like Binance and Bitget. Research them before buying any. Because those exchanges don't list anyhow coins

I think it would depend on the crypto influencer you are following. I know that some crypto influencers dive into suitable projects and even promote them even if they are not paid because that's how good the project is. Of course, there's a side note in which they are doing it because they are also holding that token for their sake but as long as you understand the discussion the influencer presents, make your personal decision whether you will follow it.

There are many scams, like on YouTube: there's a live video scam; there's a fake influencer scam; they have fake telegrams and fake comments, so be aware of them; then scam token drops; phishing websites scam; private key scrapper scam, etc. Now the discussion here is about fake influencers, but remember that there are good influencers too. The influencers who are consistently wrecking retail traders, giving garbage predictions, telling people to leverage up, and telling people to buy their coins end up plummeting. These people are fake influencers, but I strongly believe that being active on social media is a good thing, and following people who are giving genuine advice is very important too. So what is more important is who we follow, because everywhere there are people who taking advantage of us, but we are aware that's what matters.

Crypto influencers are just part of the community. They can be considered as the information providers. Further it needs to be our knowledge to analyse and find the right one or to stay away of its a scam. One of the popular person who had good reputation and spoilt his name over time is John McAfee. He is no more and he was much praised, but at some point he started to promote projects without reason. Cryptomarket is something highly unpredictable and the same lets crypto influencers try to make money out of the market movements.
They are indeed part of the community because they are getting paid to be one and to do the promotion. We just really have to be picky when it comes to the crypto, they promote and do the investigation ourselves. We shouldn't be immediately influenced by them because we don't know if they really know what they are promoting, or if they just have a script for the influencers to follow when promoting a certain crypto.
I guess you just shouldn't trust people who make adverts for money. It doesn't matter whether a person is good or bad, they have been paid to make adverts for the project. So it is profitable for him and for the people who paid him. But what usually happens is that it is not profitable for us at all. These people are making money at someone else's expense.

There are indicator if the influencer is good or not and that is when they are usually promoting obvious shitcoins or scams then they are not good to follow since their main intention is to gather money to his community and not exist for making his followers educated.

A good influencer to follow are those people promoting good deeds and educate people about scams and try to open up some critical discussion which help many people who can watch his videos.

They are not a part of the community. They usually copy posts from each other, ask pointless things to gain activity, and promote shitcoins they don't believe in just because they have been paid.

thats just how it is, people take to take advantage of something same thing with these so called influencers and pump and dump groups they quite literally just building pump and dump force to their advantage.
the people that only follows them are gonna be too late to get that piece of cake and instead become food for the whales.
just people really think that common sense that people out there aren't trying to make you rich but they are trying to get rich off you, that should be the mindset of everyone that delves into trading and investing worlds.
there's no free lunch and same thing with these kind of thing, currently best way is just to make your own analysation and thats it.

And now the country of France is making it more hard to be a crypto influencers. You have to have a Responsible Influence Certificate in Financial Advertising. In order to get this you need to score a 75 percent on 25 multiple choice questions.

I like this idea and we can hope this will cause for less scams. If all the congruities did this same thing I think there will be less rug pulls and not so many people to lose their investments.

https://en.cryptonomist.ch/2023/09/11/french-crypto-influencers-need-have-certification/
This is a good initiation from the government, providing requirements for people who want to become a crypto influencer in their country, in other words this license will be quite useful to reduce fraud and bad offers from influencers who want to do the Ponzi scheme.

I hope that in my country I also do things like this, there is a standardization of influencers in giving influence, and Lisesnsi makes it the right to give an influence, because here in my country also many people brag about crypto, many pom-pom schemes, advertisements using actors, And many more without that person really know about Crypto itself.

I thought everybody knew that a long time ago. Nowadays any Influencer is bought and he says what he is told, that's how social media advertising works. For example, I don't watch all kinds of experts, I do my own research and learn it from my friends who are also trying to invest, I've been earning on TFS token for a year now, thanks to this methodology
