It has a pyramidal structure like every crypto-asset. But it was not build as a ponzi scheme. This is not the problem. The problem is that the stake legitimates you in a way harming the fairness and equality. Early stake holders are lucky people but have no competence and there is no reason why their opinion should be over represented. But unfortunately it is. This makes the participation a buy to win game.

By observing Steem one can learn a lot about DAO like social medias. They are not social at all. Its not easy to change a running system. Once the power is distributed amongst a few big stake holders you have to convince each one of them. As as long as they make money by self-voting and abusing the Steem system, they wont listen to you.

You have tried to tell on behalf of Steem that it is not a pyramid scheme but you have not been able to provide good opinion to proof the opinion of you, hope you will make more clear As soon as possible.

This is getting serious and it is not good for the image of the industry especially when we are trying to bring people into the industry with the words transparent, decentralization and others. A lot of swindlers in this industry and it is very hard to know who to trust, I only pity those that have invested hugely in Steemit.
For new comers it is too hard even it might be impossible to know who is wrong and who is right. But to know it perfectly need to gather knowledge. It has a lot of possibility so they should invest their time on crypto market.

No big pyramid (Ponzi) scheme lasts for 3 years. Of course, Steem is not a pyramid scheme. If it were a pyramid scheme, the value of STEEM would have gone to 0 in one or two years, and we are already starting the fourth year.

Haha no. Madoff's Ponzi scheme went on for decades.

That doesn't mean Steem is or isn't a pyramid or Ponzi scheme, but 3 years is really nothing.

Decentralisation, transparent are now being used as a signboard, banner to run a business. It is one of the shit thing they tell when they running shit busienss. Many a project are not base on Decentralisation and transparent and even they don't know what is Decentralisation, transparent.

I don't think the dev team intentionally made Steem a pyramid scheme. But at the onset, the dynamics of the Steem ecosystem already indicates that it will favor the first to buy and and the largest holders.
If the dev team intentionally does not made as a pyramid of steem then how they made it like a pyramid or how they made it pyramid. Do you think it is not a pyramid scheme?

If Steem is a pyramidal scheme then i'm glad i not invested on it, if is similar to Bitconnect who also promise a lot of money for this who invested on and after they exit scam as always on this scheme happens.
Steem is a pyramidal scheme which you can say Ponzi. And almost all legit people tried to stay away from Ponzi. From this type of project only beginning investor may get few profit but others will be losers. Any Ponzi must be a scam policy today or tomorrow.

such a system will only benefit the members who joined at the beginning, and those who are at the end will certainly cry, because what is expected is not appropriate, leave the pyramid system as much as possible

This looks kinda valid but not sure ,actually I'm not a fan of seem so I'm in zero risk but I'm just surprised steem is a scheme??
The fact is that the larger and stronger the cryptocurrency market develops, the more people willing to make money easily appear. Fraudulent projects and pyramids will always occur, as long as there is an opportunity to profit at the expense of others.

People voluntarily invest money at great risk. But without risk you can not earn, you just need to do everything wisely. If you do not want to risk, just take your money to the Bank, there will earn, maybe)). Whatever the cryptocurrency is, we are one of the first who began to study and invest it, so we still have a chance to make a great profit on this.

So many keyboard warriors on here that will never write a line of code or contribute to society.  You should be happy to see actual developers, such as the ones that created the steemit EXPERIMENT, make a few bucks.  They are trying to get crypto blockchain technology out of the basements and garages.
I do not see any reason to criticize. I did not buy their coins, but very often I read something from their platform. They actually bring at least some benefit. Therefore, if developers earn something, let them earn. Nobody forces you to buy their coins? Not buy.Everything is in Your hands. There are a lot of scammers who directly stole the funds and for some reason it is not discussed....

I really shock to see this post. No wonder the price for steem are dropping now. I bet the founder are a very rich right now. There was a no secret to earn steem with easy if you have a large amount of steem on your account. You can use a baby accounts to upvote yourself and earn a more extra steem for yourself. That why now i dont use steemit so much like i use to do. Still i think steemit is a good place to earn extra income.

Steemit is surely a ponzi scheme. I don't see their advertising in any way is sustaining their payments let alone a profit for the project.
And OP suggested, the developers are slowly leading towards exit leaving it as a failed project. They'd say they tried but couldn't make it.

but anyone can post on Steemit and receive some money. you don't have to invest money so it's not a ponzi scheme.
