I already answered the problem with its economics in prior posts in several steem threads.

Larimer leaving now makes it a scam because he actually leaves after there is no profit to be made on the project at the all time lowest exchange rate and lowest market cap of the project. They instamined 80% of the supply from the short POW in the first few days (I was there, you can find my my comments in the very first steem launch thread) and profited till this very moment, you can be sure they maximized their profit as long as they could. The exchange rate is dumping on a daily basis and Dan is most probably leaving so he can't be made liable for the project dying as there is no way this project can get away with creating money out of thin air. He did the same with BTS and the charts don't lie.

If the economics of the project would be feasible there would be no panic seen in the charts, you won't get anything from buying STEEM except voting power on an unknown platform (STEEM isn't viable as a curreny) and on the other side you get people dumping free money for some reposts (implying here they are friends of the whales as a few people are in control on who get's money on posts, friendship/agenda > quality on the platform).

Even Larimer realized the platform is born to die and he tried to change the whole payout model together with a controled inflation. Guess what? It doesn't work. What is that if not realizing it's shit?

On the topic of "goes to 0", it's just a phrase. This will go down to the point where using the platform won't be profitable to anyone and not worth anyones time* thus people will just go back to the better built and more popular alternatives (even if those are centralized) or will go to the next better built decentralized platform.

I'm using the simple one liners because this project is a disgrace to this forum and doesn't deserve any respect. Even your developer and founder left the project with a simple one liner comment on his own platform.

I have to say things look like they are on very shay ground.

Steem is in the last chance Saloon in terms of the exchange price...  Can it turn around? Well YES. IT can..

BUT

It need a professional, Venture Capitalist type team, to come in, re-work the entire system, make the system of steemit much more fair and really knock everything down and re-build from scratch...

No easy task... 

Then, who knows, steem could become as big as facebook and even have a IPO one day... in the future.

Nothing is impossible in crypto.. but one thing is for sure. if someone wanted to buy all my coins, at the same price i paid, id bite their hand off.

This is crypto and Dan actions over several years speaks volumes. I was a huge supporter of BTS and was gullible to believe in Larimers. There was so much BS that the market eventually gave up. Luckily i didn't make the same mistake with Steemit. Dan leaving Steemit is a pattern. Stay away.

That's a very bold statement, none of the 666 coins listed in scamcoinmarketcap  has 0 value, yes a very bold statement indeed!

He literally milked millions of dollars from this project resulting in the ugliest chart in the history of crypto (not counting 2 week projects here). The whole project goes against everything that they teach in economics 101. No one will earn a cent from posting on that platform with future price levels and the platform will have nothing to give except being a bad half decentralized implementation of reddit. See you at 0 bagholder.

steem price on the trade market really fell, and I can usually get a pretty good income in a week but now since bitcoin prices rise, the price of steem be down..

@Smooth Nearing 5k sats as I said, nothing can hold this project at these price levels with the garbage economics it has. I guess you don't mind though, as you never invested because you were one of the earliest miners. This won't slow down till 9-1200 sats at which point the payouts will be so minimal people will stop using Steemit. Even if it pumps tho, it royally fucked every investors coming down from a few hundred thousands sats / coin.
