does anybody know in what timeframe they are distributed?

This link is from the stellatalk forum.

https://stellartalk.org/topic/1736-information-about-the-waitlist/#entry14217

The linked post says this about the timeframe they are distributed.

Posted Today, 02:59 PM

The waitlist has been up and running for a few days now and we are making headway on finalizing the waitlist distribution mechanism. Our waitlist has grown quite large. We had expected a small, developer-focused launch, but Stellar seems to have caught the attention of folks all around the world.

Because of this rapid growth, there has been some confusion about how the waitlist works. I'd like to provide some more clarity around that now:

Waitlist applies to people who 1) have logged in with Facebook and 2) are awaiting any stellar rewards (initial or otherwise). If you never logged in with Facebook or your account did not pass our spam filters, then you are not signed up for stellar rewards.

Stellar rewards will be spread out over time and distributed based off a number of factors, including:

Availability of in-language educational material (for example, see this Portuguese translation for developers done by Mercado Bitcoin in Brazil or this one in Indonesian.)
Availability of tools and services made by developers for their area/community
    Availability of local gateways

Because of overwhelming demand, people should be aware that time on waitlist will vary from days to months depending on the factors above.

most coins still waiting to be airdropped. Means that price is ridiculous, this is another aurora, but cleverly manipulated.

Didn't they promise to distribute most coins freely as soon as possible? Fast and fair distribution is impossible after the pump. Scam.

is there a bigger thread here? dind't find one....tjis thread semas very small for the hype it is

Hype of what ? Stellar ? Hype was for SecretBitcoinProject for long. Stellar has not yet enjoyed enough time like Ether.

Ether is a hype and very successfully in luring in unsuspected investors.

Stellar is given away "freely" and hoping the user base will promote and add value to it. It may or may not work.

I was promised another 3500 for giving my Facebook. I ain't getting these?  So I gave up my privacy for just 900? Pretty nasty trick

They'll come. Wait. U r still in the timeframe of first month of distribution. It'll continue for one year and they're clearly showing their pending amount. From technical angle, they are simply scaling.

They decided to reduce reward to 125 STR even for old-registered accounts. WTF? It's unfair!
This is not too bad because as they said the reward depends per prise , this means the price will go to the stars soon  Cheesy

They reduced it for everyone. Also they said in the beginning that they will use a first-come-first-serve approach.

Still this is fckn unfair. They better need control what they are saying. If I was told that I get about 900 STR then it SHOULD be 900 STR. Or they just fckn scammers. A lot of ppl are disappointed and mad about it.

You get 900 when you signed up, but by the time you received it the terms have changed.

A little curious on how the coin can have market cap when it is "free".

Because loads of people dump their free coins on exchanges, and the buyers have to pay hard cash to buy them.

Yeah, some poeple made the right decision in buying some Stellar shortterm. Still I don't really see the added value just now. It will come from trading things ontop of Stellar, not stellars itself.

which exchange is the price from?

http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/stellar/#markets

Justcoin and BX Thailand

thanks, i found this chart: http://www.cryptocoincharts.info/period-charts.php?period=today&resolution=hour&pair=str-btc&market=justcoin

Something is worth as much as other people are willing to pay for it. Just because something is free, doesn't make it worthless (think about water)
