I think i still trust in ICOs in some ways but of course, prudence and careful planning should always come. Some ICOs are quite convincing, then there are some that look like they got no future. anyhow, it's better to be on the lookout for successful ICOs.

Financial institutions are essentially trusted intermediaries, and we can expect new forms of trusted intermediaries to emerge in response to changing customer behavior – not just in finance. Many successful tech companies have succeeded in creating these by convincing us to trust in remarkable .Looking for transparency, consistency, prudent regulatory liaison, customer focus and the right people behind a venture gives unmistakeable clues about its legitimacy. If we extend our trust wisely, the brave new world of finance shouldn’t require much bravery from us after all.

Yes I believe in ICO and invest in it. Many projects have brought me an excellent profit. Sometimes even trade does not bring me such a good profit as an investing in ICO. But in order to get a good profit you must choose a reliable project very carefully. There is always a chance that you will lose all your investment.

I find that the number of ICOs is increasing, participants will have many options. But it has reduced the success of each ICO significantly. However, the fourth quarter was very successful with many large ICOs. I am looking forward to a successful 2018 with ICOs

Yes ICOs are risky but if you do your own research you'll be more safe if you know what you're getting your self into and everything started out as ICOs, and new alts that will replace old ones will also start out as ICO.

There are two problems with ICO: the first is that the number of fraudsters uses the stupidity of people, the second is that the market is oversaturated.
ICO is good if someone do very good research before invest. Actually it is one and the best advice that i can give to anyone who want invest. If someone do that, chances of earnings are growing 90%

Yes I still believe in ICO, I have participated on some projects which are running up to now, the development and progress continues and I can say there's really a success on it. You just have to look deeply about their project, study and learn so you can choose who has potential and very promising.

I still do. Like with everything else in the crypto market, it is a risky investment, but I like that you can start building your portfolio without spending thousands of dollars. Sure, some ICOs fail (doesn't mean they were a scam), while others have a slow rise and others peak rather quickly. You just have to do your research (to avoid being scammed) and have some luck.

Yes, it is becoming hard to find interesting ICO's.  I use two approaches:

1.  The underdog

- Flying under the radar
- good idea
- no big marketing
- good bounty revenues since not a lot of people are doing it
- potential to gain a lot
- downside: very risky

2. The major players

- Big ico's
- great team
- good idea
- lots of marketing
- pre-ico
- boun to win
- downside: still risky & a lot of people on board, less bounty

I have gained enough by doing both.  These days however, everybody wants to do ico's.  Which means the biggest scams get huge amounts of eth, which they use to do marketing of their nothing-product.

Very hard!  I tend to choose the first option these days.

If you want to make sure that ICO you want to invest have potential better to make a research.  Getting a lot of information abou their project will create a possible to happen after ICO ie either it will become successful or not.  You need to choose wisely because if the ICO is failed or not reached the target market possible your money will gone or will decreased.  Choose alsp ICO have escrow to make sure it is safe.

Selecting the project you are participating in is the best investment.
ICO is still an opportunity for everyone
Absolutely correct words. The costs of choosing a good ICO in the long run bring a big profit. Chances are not so much to spend them on unsuccessful ICO.

Hard question... Most of the ICOs are scam out there. We should make a deeper research if we really want to invest in any of those ICOs.
Actually, there are plenty of good ICOs out there as well, even though mostly are too good to be true, but still, there are lots of good ICOs out there regardless.

Back to the question, I think yes I still believe in ICO. Although it's really risky and we should really careful but ICO is the new way to make quick profit. In my opinion, as long as we're not lazy to make our own research (like a real research, not just people-opinion-based-research), we should be safe.

I don't agree with the decreasement though, I think at least tens of new ICOs released each day, although most of it offers literally same features like the others (masternodes, standart p2p, etc).

Yes, I still do believe in ICOs but only a few, selected ones with nice professional team backing it up, good project with real use case scenario and not just any scam project trying to rip off investors.

You look at alot of the projects out there and I can see where you would feel like its a lottery, but take the time to look at the projects I have been involved in. Most of the projects I have ran a marketing campaign for have been fairly successful and I don't feel like anyone has lost money following the projects I have been involved in.

I cannot guarantee you'll make money in following the projects I am involved in, and i'm not saying that at all. I'm just saying I have chosen to work with some solid teams. Iconomi, DCORP, Suncontract, Jibrel, Quantum, Dimcoin, Xaurum, and more.  All have shown users a profit.

Now I am involved with the VLB.io and feel like it has a chance at a large success as well. They did an ICO last year and found the caps were too high after the 1st week, so they halted the ICO and issued a full refund to all investors. Now they are back with more realistic goals and if you have belief in ICOs, you should look into this project.    Here is a link to the project if anyone is interested in learning more. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-ico-vlb-vehicle-lifecycle-blockchain-2863598

There are very few ISOs that really are worth our attention, since there are a lot of scammers who just run away with our money, so I advise you to devote a lot of time to projects where you want to invest.
Absolutely agree with you! Now any project has to be carefully studied before investing money in it, but nevertheless I believe in new projects!

I generally think that you need to concentrate on one ICO once a month. This way you will be able to study the project very well and be confident in it.  Smiley
