Topic: Still Love Democracy? (Read 6040 times)

I love democracy, but right now I do not think is fully implemented in every country, it seems to me that countries are run by big corporations. Politicians follow the agenda of the corporations paying less attention to the problem of the people. That is the case for every country in the world that is why corruption is the main problem in society.
As our country being a democratic country, I must say that it can be the best government system. Democracy is when people have the power in the system. People have the freedom to say anything against government. They are the one who can put someone in the position and can also removed them from the position. This gave a freedom to express what people thinks. It is sometimes not in good order but I can say that it is organized at most times. Hence, I can say that I would still love democracy even though it is flawed sometimes.
It was good once upon a time but it is not good not anymore.
Democracy is good with its concept allowing citizens to have a say in the decision making process but the issue is that do we have a country running a total democracy? Nowadays, the so called democratic nations seem to run under an authoritative system in disguise. Much of the decision is made by the governments without the much involvement of the people.
Democracy can mean many things to many people. Heck, even some dictatorial regimes prefer to call their system to be democratic while at the same time they are using the state power to suppress people and to spread lies just to create fear.
In my idea, democracy means that the government is coming from the people, for the people and by the people. The power emanates from the voters and that power should be used for the greater good of the people.
However, there are some people who prefer someone to lord over them as long as that ruler can provide them all the basic stuffs they need. They don't care if they don't have the freedom others are enjoying as long they have something to eat everyday.
As for me, I still love democracy and I hate it if someone would be curtailing my Bitcoin freedom lol.
Democracy is freedom. Being able to speak up and fight for your rght is best because of democracy. Democracy is expressing oneself andtaking action on what life is.In my idea, democracy means that the government is coming from the people, for the people and by the people. democracy is freedom until the majority becomes convinced of a definition of freedom that differs from yours...look at modern America...they have reduced the quality of education such that young people will now actually protest freedom of speech

Yes, I will still love democracy. It gives up freedom to anyone of us. No one people where watch and will angry on what we are doing. We are free to do everything on what we want.

We all want corrupted democracy. We all love fair natural and corruption free democracy. If the country's democracy is free of corruption, the country's development is faster.
It is a scam as the rights given are still controlled by the government.
Democracy like any other form of government is as awesome as it's source of power. If the source of power is corrupt, ineffective or ruthless then that form of government wouldn't work. Say for example, a dictatorship is run by s person puts its people first and really listen to their plea and helps out their government. That dictatorship would be alot better than a democracy with its constituents as sheep who have no independent thought and would rather be lead than to care.
I will still love democracy because it gives everyone a free life. Anything you want to do you can do. Anything you can want you can get. If you can't do anything bad to other people. You can do what you want.
You can get anything only if you are rich. 1% of people own 99% of all money, and you think that's ok? They are using us!

Today democracy is the authority of financiers. Of course, they are trying to build a good life around them, so the standard of living in the US is so high. But they do it at the expense of the rest of the world!
I like democracy for it is giving anyone to live free and equality which is the very thing that everybody loves to live. This is why many people from different countries under by cruel leadership which is keeping the freedom away from them are protesting for democracy. So freedom is what the people's need and the definition of democracy, the only bad for democracy is when it is abuse by others but overall I like it.
I believe in democracy as it helps us to express whatever we feel.
