Indeed, there is no point on arguing about ETH and BTC, those 2 are the same cryptocoins with all their pros and cons.
Just like people, no body is different, so we can't really compare one another.

Exactly. They're two different animals alltogether. One is a currency / store of value (BTC) and the other is a platform / commodity like "gas" (ETH). I think they'll both be dominant in the crypto space for a long time. They both have competition, but they're both the first movers in their particular niche.

These coins are not a category for us to compare, so I think that should not be, because of the small ETH, their prices are falling sharply, not in line with the BTC. So I think we should not compare them.

bitcoin and also the ethereum is two different coins. bitcoin is an old crypto formed the basis of the emergence of another crypto that exists today and with a pretty perfect system would be funny if it is compared with the ethereum. but the ethereum own enough to become a great platform with crypto and large due to the ICO. so both of these things have a different basis and even compare in price also increasingly absurd.

Comparing them both is everyone's right, it's like calculating and researching before investing. All altcoins are indeed made to be compared to others, who hope that a coin is superior in its function, and that is what keeps him alive. Like it or not, that's the fact that happened.

You guys never realized about the differences between bitcoin and altcoin. i should remind you about that the bitcoin has different value compared to the ethereum
It can be considered as the best thing to store our value. We can't compare both of coins because they have different system.

It hurts when people just say what they don't know about BTC. Making comparison isn't a bad idea but to the extent that ETH is better than BTC is what I don't understand.

You cant stop people on having those judgements but its clearly seen on which coins is being supported by the community when we do tend to check out the rankings.No doubt BTC would really dominates not only on its tech but considering this is the father of all crypto which its normal to have that top spot but not to deny ETH smart-contract is innovative. These questions or debates/comparison are just normal yet people do differently supports each coin on the entire market.

Comparing bitcoin with ethereuem is like bringing a king and a Queen to comparation because bitcoin is forever the king of cryptocurrency while ethereuem is the mother that house all other altcoin.

I agree, it is foolish to compare these two coins. These are completely different coins in technical terms and they were also created for different purposes. Ethereum is not a bad coin, but bitcoin will always be in the first place for me, because it is more stable and time-tested.

I too sometimes am strongly irritated by comparison of ETH with bitcoin. As it in general can be done, they absolutely different, they have different tasks. Why all decided to compare them I do not understand.

I don't like when people are comparing Bitcoin and Ethereum. These coins are very different and are made for different purposes, and they both are successful. But Bitcoin will be always the main and original cryptocurrency.

I absolutely agree with you , it's really stupid to compare Ethereum or any other altcoin with Bitcoin . I think this happens because each new project wants to somehow advertise itself and they believe that such a primitive way of PR will somehow help them. But today market participants are much smarter than before and they will not believe into such a primitive PR, moreover, it may even negatively affect the project’s reputation.

It's obvious that someone who prefer a determined thing in life thinks that thing is the best one. It's a matter of perception in that case.

Bitcoin is the pioneer of the blockchain technology, that is a place i don't believe can be taken away from it. Smart people will prefer to play with it than to try to replace it. Unless some want to make some profits making people believe it will happen.

I personally don't hate Ethereum, it's useful also and it is growing at a good rate. However, altcoins will remain altcoins.
