Yep, If anyone wants me to buy their boards....    Wink
I could use a couple more....
I'll shoot you the BTC, and we can notify KNC.....   simple as that.

You're #2 behind Bogart's (1) if I can't get them going.  Will take delivery first.  How many you want if I can't get them going?
The offer is for direct delivery only, sorry....  (Before Monday)
but 2 or 3

So I have no possible way of securing the fan/heatsink to the board now?

If I had this problem I'd do the following:

1) somewhere on here someone posted how to get extra long cable leads for the extra units and ebay link

2) I run my Jupiter with the cover off...so do the same but simply flip the cover match the screw holes and mount it upside down (sides pointing up) get the correct mounting plugs like are on your orig mining units (or equiv) and with extra long leads on there.....mount the two extras on top..have some 5" fans on the side to blow on the units ..viola

3) or I'd get some pexiglass stuff at a hobby shop and hack together some kind unit with plastic that looks like the MARS Prototype with a big ass Fan at the end

anyway a couple guys HAVE CLAIMED to have done this (one guy had a flakey units on two knc boxes so was playing mix /match and tried 6 on the one says it worked...in this thread someplace)

so anyway if you got the units give it a shot...even if not official if nothing else I'm sure you can 'easily I mean easily' get your $$$ back selling them anyway

but imho if 2 showed up on my door I'd do the above (on the other hand on my unit I'd have to get advice on how to add 2 ports to make 6)

my 2c worth

Oh, okay you have them already fastened to another case.  Was hoping to see two modules hanging out.

Where'd you buy that extra long cable?

You make it by hand (it is very easy): https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.3571058

Good night, I'm going to bed  Wink

Thanks for the pics.

But the whole thing is meant to screw thru the aluminum blank to the case it looks like.  Nothing to screw into under the board I guess...  Are those aluminum blanks hollow?  I'll have to be careful with the size of a bolt I guess underneath so it doesn't cross anything.

argh...

Does this help?

Yeah it is underneath that board that I am confused by.  It screws thru the aluminum blank into tiny little mystery donuts.

Glad I'm thinking about this now.

Bogart has 1 module reserved if I can't use it.  ASIC-K, you want some?

The ASIC board is connected to the aluminium bottom by 2 screws/bolts only even though there are 4 holes (not enough time to put all 4  Huh).

I am also interested if you want to sell Wink

Apparently that guy on the KnC forums got 6 running on a controller board.  How long has that been running like that I wonder?

I am a different guy running 6 boards for around 2 days now.

Had to go out and get some liquor to calm myself...lol

Can you show your setup?  You got 6 running on a controller board 'eh?

You are better of selling them I think.  Phoenix or Special-K will buy them off you for sure.

Well if I can get them to hash I might as well try...

Lovely communication by KnC.

Thanks.

So there is no aluminum plate to go underneath?  Is what Phoenix said a concern?  What is safe to let the board rest on while hashing?

Well one would imagine that being an owner of a Saturn or a Mercury, i.e. the two purchasers these were directed towards you should have space available in your case...

I thought we could fill all 6 modules in a Jupiter?

Not officially...

Then I'll have some for sale if they don't work I guess.  Man communication around here is ass.

Are you kidding?! Nobody ever said that 6 boards fit into one case!

It was never stated these were only for Saturn and Mercury here...
https://www.kncminer.com/news/news-64

I have 2 open slots on my controller board.  What else am I supposed to think?

Indeed you are supposed to think and just use your brain and look inside your case. Where the f... should there be enough space to fit 6 boards?

A motherboard doesn't need to be in a computer case to work.

Sounds like you've answered your own question buddy...

The question remains, can I fasten the fan/heatsink to the board?

We provide screws with the same aluminium blanks and screws with the upgrade boards that come with the units.

You can, but you better use something under the board for better security. Preferably using spacers.
