Is there anyone, anything, human or not that can tell me how this suspected miner works? Is there built in Ethernet? USB? These are lots of normal questions even BFL was able to answer without a prototype. I want to be able to manage my fathers miner remotely and have yet to find out what kind of connections are on them.

go away.. it doesnt work..  we are all scammed..  thank you

It could be a possibility, bitcoin right at $78 USD isn't doing to well.

Bitcoin's doing just fine, as long as you're buying. Smiley

Unfortunately it looks like ASICminer may be selling...

AM is ~ 25% of the network hash. That works out to about 900 BTC/day or 6300 BTC/week, spread across several thousand shareholders. They're certainly not all selling - I'm doubtful that's the reason for the low point. Also, let's say that AM didn't exist - what makes you think that miners and pool operators getting their share of the blocks would operate any differently? The same BTC gets generated every day, it's just a matter of distribution.

31xx New (Payed)
is what is listed under my order, but when I check the dashed order number in the front page: it says just "New"

They only quote shipping day on the original batch of pre-orders, not new orders.

Ah ok. I did order a mecury first day, but I thought I saw people have 1 day.

Mercury wasn't even available till yesterday... You are 3 weeks late to get a pre-order q list number.  Day one was June 3rd. You will simply be added to the que.

Can't wait to see something like a 1Th/s Neptune!

Not sure whether you'll get a 1 Th/s Neptune. Mercury is a tiny planet and Juipter, followed by Saturn are the largest in our 9 planet solar system. Neptune would have to be between Mercury and Saturn.

I think KnC will need some help with names as we centre outside of out solar system in future... Grin

I'd vote for VY Canis Majoris.

Sorry, no! Immediate centralisation and scope for 51% attack, not to mention PSU demands!! Tongue

Well, they could still use The Sun or even use The Milky Way or the Asteroid Belt.

If BFL was naming their units based off of things from space, their products would clearly be known as The Black hole.

The 'black hole' is where all the Bitcoins from unsecured wallets go...Wink

Just wanted to post that I just requested a refund from KNC and it was promptly processed. I had 2 orders in the #2XX range and unfortunately something came up that I need the money for (building a pool). The total amount was over $10k USD and they didn't bat an eye when I asked for the refund and processed it promptly.

2 thumbs up for KNC from me. They have great customer service and apart for some hiccups during the pre-order process (which are understandable) -- they've been super awesome to deal with.

That's good to hear.  Thanks for letting us know!

This may have been covered in previous threads (I searched and couldn't find anything). For those of us that chose to get the unit shipped, we can opt for hosting and apply the shipping cost to hosting fees, once the plan is announced.

---
Hi,

We will send out more information on our hosting package in the next few weeks. There will also be an option to use the shipping payment towards hosting fees.

Thanks
Emilia

Hodl!
Some errors on your shipping page I noticed also which don't fill me with confidence Smiley

Broken english isn't always a good sign!

Not all non-Americans speak perfect American English.  They're Swedish, dude.

Let's try and aim for a 25% success rate in North America at least, never mind the rest of the world Cheesy

did not translate well.. Paid until?....     and certainly doesn't make sense to have 5 separate orders paid on the same day... What were you thinking?  You had several orders over several days, and paid for all of them on same day?  confusing.

By original batch, do you mean people that were able to order the 1-500 units? I did not pre-order one of the 1-500 units and my 6/4 order says Day 1. I think KnC manually updated the shipping dates for all orders that had fully paid (and cleared) at the time they made the update. I imagine they'll probably do this once per week (just guessing).

Does anyone have fully paid orders without a shipping date that cleared before KnC added the shipping dates?
It's 1-890, not 1-500, like some have been posting, but...   yes, that is the batch.... and no, not for all paid orders, just for those whom paid during week one. Let me make that clear...

IF YOU ORDERED (and paid) DURING WEEK ONE Jun 3rd-11th), YOU GOT A "SHIPPING ON PRODUCTION DAY X" added to your order; otherwise, you are simply added to the Que list.

i dont think so... ive got five preorders, all paid until 11.June.... three of them are marked as "day1".. two are only marked as "paid"

Thats exactly what I meant. Its for the Mercury queue. Which will ship in October, a month after the others.
Which I'll reiterate - I thought I saw people have day 1 for Mercury, correct me if I'm wrong.
Nobody got a pre-order Que number for Mercury..(shipping on production day xx).doesn't exist. You will have a regular order number only.

Oh I guess I must've misread then?
And also I have 2 numbers.
I have Order #31xx New Payed and (# to check order status:) SE0-XXX-XXX25

Quote
At this point, your order number is what maintains your queue. As long as you've sent in the payment, they won't cancel your order and once it is paid you are in queue from the moment you placed the order. Basically, you're good - just sit back and relax.

But his point was that he hadn't paid yet. If it takes 10 days to process, that means its 10 days behind being paid Tongue Its the date you paid is when you get queued is it not?
BFL had the same system
