BTW his name is not unusual in Sweden, he's not even the first result, but he is a tech guy and an interest in reverse engineering just substantiates that he knows his shiz.

Yup, there are 35 people named Marcus Erlandsson living in Sweden: http://www.upplysning.se/person/?x=673&who=Marcus+Erlandsson

Also *if* your find on alt.hacking forum is the same guy, so what?! Who the hell didn't try to hack a hotmail account in '98?? That was 16 years ago...what was he 20, a student?

Though err...best not to drop him an email from your hotmail, eh?  Roll Eyes

Phinnaeus, with all due respect, that's a lot of hot air.

I appreciate it's their Facebook company 'fan page', but if you follow the YouTube video link, whilst it's been watched over 1000 times, and they have multiple videos on their channel, they only have 7 subscribers. It's just not something people would relish having popping up in their newsfeed I guess.

Opencores also has a Facebook page, which you didn't search for. That has 114 followers, not a huge amount I know, but I assume ORSoCs main focus is business to business, and business order volume amounts, so it would odd for an individual to follow their Facebook page.

Likewise opencores has more than one YouTube channel, one in particular pertains to just conferences. The content is solid.

Perhaps you should email them, they are quite approachable, although I'd suggest you calm down and use tad more diplomacy as opposed to an open unsubstantiated rant Wink

Sam, you are gonna face competition .. Avalon DIY and other wannabees coming along. Some Avalon DIY guys are buying bulk of Avalon Chips
to make clones of the Avalon Miner for re-sell.. very smart..

Thanks Dan we actually want to see all types of legitimate competition in the market. That puts pressure on all parties involved and should put a stop to companies treating the customers as badly as they have been treated in the past.

We are up for the challenge I can assure you all of that.

Thanks

Sam

Here's my honest opinion: This post is nothing but a crock of shit! Fuckin' Ed Trice could do a better job pulling the alpaca wool over our eyes.

In probably a few days, KNC will be accepting payments to get in the queue and a myriad of customers will oblige, all with not a spec of evidence that something is even the works.

Either ORSoC is behind this or they didn't do due diligence prior to coming on board. Perhaps, an ORSoC spokesperson should register here and give us something of substance. If they do that, than I'll reverse my position and back KNC, but be forewarned, if the project turns into a bust, I will then be sticking it up ORSoC's ass.

Here's something odd: https://www.facebook.com/ORSoC

They joined FB March of last year, posted 5 times, and ONLY have 3 likes to their page. How the fuck is that even possible given the supposed size of their community?

Fine, I WILL purchase

I'm not sure what your goal was/is but you've been trolling other threads this morning with the same misinformation. Claiming to have purchased products from companies that have yet to prove themselves or open to public sale.

It just confuses a situation when other members are giving new companies a chance to earn trust and respect.

It's not cool, and To be entirely honest what you get out of it is a mystery.

There was an fpga which I really did purchase

This company has yet to release details of any product(s), or demonstrate a working prototype, let alone sell anything. For that reason it's also agreed not to request investor funds and hasn't opened for orders.

You're lying.

The company may well be legitimate, it's partner is. You are not helping the situation.

No you haven't. You've posted the same message trolling all the new ASIC companies.

KNCminer may or may not be legit, but this doesn't help.

Sam, Thanks for dropping by and glad that you do sometimes read the comments in this forum, how many more pages to read  in this thread before we could see a working real life model of your FPGA and Asic Bitcoin Miner.? You just need to produce proof in videos and photos of your working
product models with some detail specs in order for us to start ordering this products from you. We need ACTION .. the talk and talk is over. yep is over.

The FPGA would break even if KNC asked ORSoC to create an FPGA with DDR3 memory and have it mine Litecoin scrypt.

Think of it how many hashes can they do with a FPGA convert to mined litecoin? the current setting is 6gh/s for bitcoin, if it becomes
6mh/s for litecoin than it is not worth it. need to be about 30mh/s to 60mh/s or more for  litecoin mining.
