f you are still waiting on a refund from a neptune i advice you call KnC i just spoke with Anna and a request has been put in for my refund to be made in bitcoin. Don 't be scared to yell at the poor wee Scandinavian girl, she works for the devil, oh and don't let her talk over you as that is what she will try and do.
I just had a 5 min call with Anna i think and she was explaining me that the Financial Department has to fill a lot of documents for the refund since my order was already reported to their tax authorities and also that they have to check my order payment even if after she asked my order number she reported back that i paid in November with bitcoins. I don't know what's there to check more...I did ask about bitcoins refund but she told me that it won't speed up the process except that i win the 3 days that it takes to receive my wire transfer. She also told me that the refund might take longer than 10 business days, but i will get my refund eventually. Back to the waiting line i guess. Refund asked on 11 April. Let's see how long will it take them...
I sometimes fantasize about going with the most vocal people here together as a group to the KNC offices in Stockholm to confront them. Even stage a strike in front of their offices with banners and megaphones.

I was thinking of doing something similar with "Gox where is our money?" guy, but i just don't have the spare time. I WILL gladly join and contribute to any legal route that someone might take. If i had the spare time right now I could be on a plane to Sweden to fill a report with the police department.

The Neptune isn´t too impressive, as it will probably not get better power efficiency than 0,8W/GH and in a 4 u formfactor.

With Frankenjup, KNC have destroyed their reputation. Now they are handing out free mining gear, after probably 95% of people have refunded. So what is that - 10 free rigs? Cheap bastards AND reputation in tatters.

I hate to be the one to break the news to you fellas, but bitcoin @ $1 is just as useful as bitcoin @ $400.
True for small transactions, however...With Bitcoin at $1 it would be impossible to transfer $22 million in value, because there aren't enough bitcoins. The higher value bitcoin is in fiat, the larger a transaction can be.
Another example: a wealthy person wants to store $22 million or more of their wealth in bitcoin. Couldn't be done with bitcoin at $1. The higher value bitcoin is in fiat, the more wealth we can store in bitcoin.
Same thing for 22 million people each trying to store $1 of wealth in bitcoin. Or 220 million people trying to store $0.1 of wealth in bitcoin, etc. Couldn't be done with bitcoin at $1.
The utility of bitcoin to the world as a whole rises as its fiat value per coin rises. We need bitcoins to be worth a lot (say $100k to $1m+) per coin to be useful to the world's population because there are so few coins (only ever 21 million will be made).
well stated. many bitcoiners do not understand this and think that people who talk about btc price rising are greedy. adoption rate and price are connected.
