Hodl!
Theres a whole world of difference between a GPU and an ASIC. All that article says is "Basically 20nm has already begun at TSMC, but apparently the process is not yet ready for full fledged GPU core production"

Okay, let me hear your theory as to how a GPU is not an ASIC...

TSMCs 20nm process is looking screwed up for everyone... http://wccftech.com/nvidia-maxwell-20nm-delayed-late-2014-early-2015/

methinks either KNC is the guinea-pig/lab-rat or gets the shaft with nVidia champing at the bit, neither sound good.

So, IMO, take the 3Th of Jupiters, wait for the cloud hashing, or refund, but don't expect to see a Neptune real soon, KNC has done their end, but TSMC looks like fucking things up.

Q2 delivery is looking unlikely now, and I don't think KNC can do anything to change that, TSMCs 20nm schedule started slipping late last year and I guess that's when the contingency plans came into play for "worst case scenario", kudos to them for planning something instead of blindly hoping.

No doubt KNC will make heroic efforts should TSMC pull their finger out, actually honor the "little guy's" order on schedule with impatient industry giants ready to rip them a new one, and actually send chips in Q2, but sounds too much like a fairy tale now.

Not trying to troll you Neptune orderers, just call it as I see it,

Flash.

have you heard of these guys...  'bitcoin brothers'

http://cointelegraph.com/post/the_new_leader_in_mining_interview_with_thomas_j_ackerman_bitcoin_brothers#.U0P8F6i99rh

below is what they think of KNC

Quote
AS: What gives your company a competitive edge over companies like KnCMiner for example?

TA: Well our chips are much better, they use a lot less power and they’re available - we can start making those wafers tomorrow. Our cost of operation is very low so we can sell the capacity way below the price of our competitors. So we operate at a fraction of the cost compared to KnCMiner which at least makes its own chips - not very successfully unfortunately.

Not to play them down, but they do have a problem with that. The cost of operation that they have in Sweden is high and they can’t bring power to their data-centers very quickly and only very expensively. In Sweden, the green power that they use costs them something like 30 cents per kWh. It’s really, really expensive. So while it technically works, it takes a much longer to time to deploy and, from a business point of view, not very profitable to run. We certainly don’t want to put them out of business because we need a healthy competition but there is two or three other big companies, Cloud Hashing that is buying everyone else’s chips; they’re also housing their operations in Iceland, which makes the most sense, however, they’re buying other chips that are not as efficient as ours. Beyond Cloud Hashing and KnCMiner there very little left.

He sounds like a right cock

I requested a refund on my 3 Neptunes 4 days ago and now I feel even better about my decision.
I wonder why people still keep their orders.
The only reason I kept mine was to resell on Ebay, but even at this very moment the prices there has fallen to around £2000-£2500 per 1TH/s so even that opportunity for a profit is gone.

Hey CYPER when you going to post your review of the bitcoinultra rigs you got?

Wow what a Tremendous offer from KNC.

I'm now kicking myself for Getting a refund.

How can I live with myself, How will I sleep at Night.

Been waiting.... Just remember what I said....

I'd ask for KNC to provide us updates but, I don't think many folks here care that much anymore (I don't), and we know KNC won't provide them anyhow.

We shall see, but the thought that we essentially provided an interest free loan is infuriating.

Watch if Bitcoin's price falls anymore.. "Exclusive used modules now for sale".. what a joke.
And don't fall for it people! If and when you become part of their business model again..

Personal text my ass....
i asked now for refund to my ca neptune. (B1 order asked last week)
now i am done completly with KNC. (Titan never payed, now cancelled)

GAME OVER

When they were sucking all the pre-order money for Neptune's they just started to build their data center, so they needed the money at that time. Once their data center was up and mining away making thousands and thousands of dollars per day they really didn't "need" any more pre-order money so that's why they were happy to give it up. They used this entire community to build a monster data center on the premise they would actually build something called a Neptune. They were greedy, we were greedy, and they won. Plain and simple on that one.

They made everyone wait 5 months and then made a frankenstein 3TH Jupiter. I love it!  Grin Cheesy

Notice how in a brand new rare news letter not one mention of Titan? How odd.
...you  expected another Titan update, really?   After a Titan update on the 27th?
its been like a whole 11 days!

yeah you'll be due another update on that particular delay, in around... 11 months.
