OK, so the day is finally here. We can now officially launch our first product dedicated to scrypt mining.

The Scrypt mining market has grown over the last 6 months and we have been watching it very closely. The time is now right for the launch of our new offering.

The device is being called Titan and is available here. The same team and partners have been working together again. With their expertise and speed we expect to ship titan before the competition and have a product that outperforms their offerings.

The details of the device we can reveal today are as follows:

    - Minimum 100/MH/s of performance. (likely to increase as we get further down the development path)
    - Uses a Standard ATX power supply (customer supplied ATX).
    - Based on the existing Jupiter form factor but will have blades containing numerous chips inside.
    - Shipment begins in Q2/Q3 of 2014.

We will keep you all updated as the development progresses.
For those of you wanting to convert an existing Neptune order to a titan order please contact customer service for assistance.

as for other news, We passed a huge milestone in the progress of Neptune last month when we passed the "tape out" stage of the production. We are now in the foundry stage and as soon as the chips arrive we will let you all know. More info about the tape out is available here.

Thanks
KnCMiner Team

hmmmm......convert a current neptune order to a titan...hmmm.......me thinks not?

So if you had 3Th of Neptune today vs. 100Mh of Titan today you would pick Neptune yes?

Dpos, we are prob. bored is what it is, so we are looking for entertainment since KNC hasn't given us anything to monkey around with.....we are at each others throats as if marooned on an tiny island and everyone's ready to bash eachother's head in....

so KNC, how goes the cloudhashing, our Neptunes and still no interest in a SCRYPT MINER??

ps.

mining on scryptguild.com for alt coins....I would be using a KNC scrypt machine here as I use a KNC machine for SHA on btcguild.com. Same admin for both, so I know we kick'in ass. Grin

on topic. Grin

A KNC scrypt machine..........hmmmmmmmm
joe, is that hmmm as in interesting, or hmmm as in I might be on to something?

Not implying anything. Just thought that may be a good next step for them.

Hehehehehhe

kudos to you joe, I'm impressed.

Any chance to share also your estimates about btc/ltc  prices in the near term? Tongue easy money

You don't have to have magical powers (like I do) to know that this generation of Bitcoin miners is going to be the last generation that the average consumer will be able to host in their home, therefore by following the money, the next logical step is to move technology towards what makes sense in the logical progression of things, which of course is alt coins.

Alt coins (scrypt especially) can be mined with a minimal amount of electricity and heat, currently (today) the most cost effective scrypt miner is the 300Kh Gridseed unit which can produce 1Mh for about $50 less than its counterpart of GPU which is now priced at about $800 a Mh and $650 additional for every 1Mh after that,
The Gridseed on the otherhand is $600 for the first Mh and every one after that and the heat produced is near zero compared to GPU mining.

Multipools like Scryptguild and Clevermining are taking in Scrypt hashing and paying out BTC so for example if you had say 15Mh of Scrpyt mining equipment and you were sending that towards a Multipool you would be making 0.10BTC a day with no heat and less than 500w of electricity.

Litecoin and Dogecoin are very profitable and are bound to take off in the next 90 days (IMHO)

Expand your horizons outside of Bitcoin and you will see there is a lot of money to be made now, by the time KNC delivers their solution Litecoin will likely be $25-$30 (IMHO)

What does Foundry stage mean? I wish they would update on power specs, I have a lot of Neptunes coming my way and really want to begin ordering in PSUs

PSU's are so hard to acquire right now - ... sold out or overpriced everywhere - you have a point here

Think out of the box just a little bit

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/server-power-supply-interface-board-for-standalone-miners-and-gpu-rigs-379677

Hahaha, great idea, though I am not too comfortable running a 10K machine with something i've wired myself

They sell the wires to, all you have to do is screw them on.
When you can buy a 750w Dell server power supply on Ebay for less than $10 USD probably worth the microscopic risk of getting plus and minus straight

P.S. I have six of these units

Lazy Lurker Reads Alot
Foundry stage means that they prepare machines to make the chips

When coins are made they prep a model that stamps the metal with the imprint they want

This kinda similar with the machines for making the chips

Once they got it right and have low enough losses they enter the pre production stage
(testing the chips and performance) often they make changes on the final design in this stage.

Now we change to a KnC Litecoin miner thread and temporarily forget about Neptune or cloud hashing.
Let's decide when to buy LTC and holding instead of waiting, boring,... going mad!?

Of course Titan will probably consume 2000+ Watts, ship in late Q3, and LTC difficulty growth will certainly be over 4%

It certainly will if large numbers of scrypt ASIC miners are sold!
