Do you still have space for couple antminers?

if im use 6 x R9 390x how much PSU i need ?
your custom PSU is 1700watt ? 2500watt ?

With most of these things, you should profile a single card first, and then extrapolate from there.  From what I've seen with the 390's (not X), they're running about 275w per card, and my CPU overhead is about 60w and cooling is more on top of that.  You should refer to whatever PSU you're using, but most of the server ones are more efficient as they approach 100% load (as opposed to consumer ones which peak at about 80%).  So a DPS2000BB would more than work (at least in my situation).  The biggest issue I've run into, and it's definitely solveable but you should be aware - is that you'll need to provide at least 3a of 5v per card (on the PCI side), as the PCI side provides both 12v and 5v.  Most of the breakouts/server PSU's don't provide 5v, so you'll need to get a step-down converter to handle it, but it's not that big a deal.

I've just been going through this whole exercise as I've been working on my own GPU mining case using the same PSU's I use on the bitcoin side.  Wink

+1 Nice.
I'll have to look into the DPS-1520. I assume it's a 1500w supply? If so and if priced like the 1200w supplies then it'd make a perfect fit for s7's and s9's.
it's 1440watts Cheesy still good in my books

I guess I need to see what type of server power supplies they toss in the eLoop bin at work.   Undecided  Probably some good stuff.

Cool. Maybe I'll send it with a DPS800 (I've got about a dozen of 'em running around) so you can test out the dual use.

sounds good I will run a thread on those 2

Yeah, I hear that. Not the year-end bonuses part, I haven't had any paid minions in a long time. But I do hear the cash-strapped part. Actually, I'll probably have to borrow money to finish building this batch of PSU boards. I was hoping not to, but one of my anchor customers evaporated so I had to out-of-pocket a substantial amount of the initial cost without any preparation. I'm working out a plan on how to pull it off, but there's two things I really hate - borrowing money, and relying on other people to help. I don't like borrowing because of the inherent risk I somehow can't pay it back, in which case I end up hosing good people. And I don't like relying on others because, at least half the time, I'm disappointed (for reference, see the thing I just said about an anchor customer disappearing).

But this board is a good product. It'll sell. And if I can bring in enough capital to build the whole batch, I can supply my anchors and actually have a substantial standing stock for the first time in a long time, which means being able to meet immediate orders without lead time, which is good for everyone involved.

Wish you'd said something. I have a few of those PSUs, and can make cables anytime.

Or did you say something and I just wasn't paying attention?

Naaah i didn't say a thing... was more or less cash-strapped (had to pay workers their end-year bonuses, etc), so when you can't walk the talk, better shut up Cheesy

Is that for the prototype board I sent you for Christmas? This final version is pretty much the same, about the same dimensions but connector spacing is a bit different and there's 2 more jacks.
