I'm running 2 THASH of Ants and my house is freaking loud and HOT! With the summer coming I don't know what the heck I'm going to do.

Sell them.  I'll take them off your hands for the current S1 price minus 10% since they're used.

so, YES, we will need PSU's
Fortunately, I have a stack of them here... hopefully a couple ax1200's cover it, if not, I'll get creative, lol

So you still have some on order then? I thought you got a refund for all yours? Or did you buy some more?
Yeah, was true, I refunded two units in one order, and resold 3 ...  but I bought one back (smile)
wish I hadn't sold the other two now.
But I got back the #1 known Neptune order, which is the one I really wanted to keep;
and I got lucky in the sense, the owner was thinking on refunding when I emailed him.
Sweet.

So you are happy you got to keep the most expensive order?

When in April, May or June will that happiness fade?

You mean cheapest, don't you?
It's a C.A Batch, and the very first known order...
Not only that, If we were talking Fiat, I bought it back for about 700 dollars cheaper than I originally paid for it from KNC.
It was a great deal for both of us... he made out in coin, I made out in fiat.
You forget too, that this is all btc profits. My original investment is long since withdrawn, and spent.
This is about having fun now.  Grin
I'll most likely mine with it for awhile, then do my norm....

Cloud hashing?   Bring it on!
I don't give a shit where the hashpower comes from, but my guess is that many people in here will be shocked Mid-April when they start shipping Neptunes, and selling & trading hashpower in the cloud like CEX with the Boden Facility; where I hope I can buy some of that too. Who knows, they may offer more hashpower if you decide to take the cloud offer instead of or in lieu of a Neptune.
BUT... Remember, they taped out mid Feb, and Boden was plan "B", so unless something goes terribly wrong with the PCB's or VRM's, it won't be long before we see another video like the one when Jupiter came out. (my guess is the only questionable bottleneck vould be VRM supply)as in having the physical parts. I remember somewhere reading they may be making their own VRM's, anyone remember that?
We shall see a month from now.
It's the "Ides of March", bringing on a war.....  hehe

In 2 Weeks they are officialy in delay. according to their Network protection Statement, where they spelled to start shipping their nextgen devices in march 2014.

Whilst that statement did say they would start shipping the new generation in march, it was made long before the neptune announcement.

The only promise made to neptune buyers at the time of purchase was Q1/Q2 delivery

If you get your machine before July 1st* they aren't late, so don't expect any cloud hashing before then.

*Some have noted that the second batch also promised Q1/Q2 and shipping a month after the customer batch, in which case the late date becomes June 1st which is still 2.5 months away.

Clueless!
As it stands now, i see that KnC fell under clouhashing spell and with large datacenters like datorhall or cointerra-supported cloudhashing, the only companies that  ostensibly support network diversification are, paradoxically, chinese bitmain and asicminer (will BA deliver on time-who knows?).

As it stands now, i am completely dumbfound how this all came about with KnC.
With no electrical, power, time of delivery and anything else on march 17, options are getting narrow.

I've thought this as well but have been beat up on my memory of this in this thread....do you have a link? people claim they always said Q1/Q2 but as a very early order I don't remember that (i also paid via paypal which i was not supposed to be able to do and had to resubmit a wire xfer ...kept my place in line thou...so maybe the Q1 thing i saw was a mistake and pulled..if my memory is correct)

good for you we can all play chicken and see how long we can hold on to the last neptune..sort a 'dead man's club" kinda
thing.....(not sure anyone would really win if it drags out but what the heck)

Oh, I am sure we will hear something in the next two weeks. At least technical details will be there, but as far as shipping is concerned, they will say something less clear, in my opinion. However, $3599/Th on April 10 from at least one competitor is a huge incentive for KnC to accelerate the rollout. It has to be above 3.66TH/Neptune (batch 1, not CA) at mid April to be competitive before some adjustment for probably 30% lower electrical costs, but adding costs for PSU and cabling.

+1 agree..what i find interesting is if I punt my last neptune back i will probably buy half the $$$ i had in the miner in BTC...jeez am I that obvious...some real 'psych' issues with that logic....hmmmm...iIcan put 10.2k down on a miner...but 10.2k all on BTC and my gonads shrink and I wuss out.....(silly humans we are soooooo funny)

go figure ..but yeah gonna be jump out of the plane here fast if this keeps up (at least knc will give you a parachute ie refund..unlike BFL which set the plane and you on fire then tossed you out...14' off the ground when going warp 1..er imho)

You'll be a KNCCloud.com customer in less than 2 weeks, it's exciting isn't it?

Exciting that buyers will be compensated for any delay with the hosting package until their Neptune is ready if they want to keep waiting. Win-Win. Cheesy

if they give 3000GH to me hosted i'll be happy, 13btc/3000 = 0.00434btc per GH

if they give 4000GH to me hosted i'll be even happier 13btc/4000 = 0.00325 per GH

based on a pretty static 25% increase, depending when delivered they may still be profitable. If it is in the next 2 weeks they could do quite well at 3THPS.

the last few difficult changes have struggled to meet 25% apart from once.

They must be busy building their new Bitcoin WHQ in Boden.

In one video they said they have 5000 square meters with miners now, and they are building another 9000 square meters before the summer.

Does really nobody have a copy of that video?

FWIW I requested a refund Feb 26, included all details (my bank provided me a printout of all the information required) including SWIFT and ABA codes.  I received my refund on March 5th.
