I've been waiting for one of my Neptunes to be refunded since 12/29  Huh. I gave them my banking info twice now. Not very impressed at this point.

I think Knc needs to release an official statement with some good news to calm the masses, or else they will get hit with a lot of Neptune refund requests.

I think vague statements from Bitcoinorama simply stirred up the hornets nest and did more harm than good.

Well I say if people are that worried about their Neptune having bad ROI when KnC finally ships them and want to request a refund, go for it! I will wait thanks, if people have done their home work they would know that Knc is pretty good at watching the ROI themselves and wouldn't sell you a box that you never make your investment back on.

I recommend to those who are thinking about asking for a refund to let go of their monkey minds and let things take their course. There is always going to be people who easily panic over the silliest things, but that doesn't mean you need to as well.

come on, let them refund... more for us!  Cheesy

You guys are sure worked up about this whole thing with Jupiters -- WHY?

Perhaps KnC doesn't want to sell Jupiters for the "current" going rate.

Also why be so tied to one vendor?  I've owned Avalon, BFL, KnC, ASICMiner, Bitfury, and ANTMiner.

Remember you can get ANTs shipped this week for $2K for 200GH draws about 410W while my 260GH Saturn took 340W (@wall) - really the power savings of a KnC isn't enough to warrant additional cost...

So the real question is would KnC price Jupiters reasonably - I mean within 10 days 200GH will only be worth $1500 or less...
I'll give you $1500 for your 200GH/s in 10 days!!

People in here need to calm down.. Where exactly has anyone said about stuff being late?? They were always advertised as Q1/Q2.

Why do they "need" to calm down.  Is their concern and frustration bothering you?  Do you work for KNC?  Should everyone be happy?  They pretty much just announced that Q1/Q2 really means Q2.  Most of us expected that anyway but people have a right to be concerned.

Also, announcing that Jupiters would not be sold is a huge bombshell.  I know it pretty much shattered my plans.  I will be making 1/8th of my previous BTC income by the time Neptune arrives.

The answer is really easy.  They just need to keep selling Jupiters every month until they are done with the Neptune and then switch over.  3000 units a month would keep us in competition with CEX.io and any behind the scenes mining ops.  Not selling Jupiters is surrendering the future of mining to non-KNC customers.  It doesn't make sense.  If they want to take their time with the Neptune, they need to give us some hashing power in the meantime.

+1

I totally agree with you Rolling ...........6 months ago KnC were predicting this continous diff rise due to competitors continuing adding  large amounts of hashing power to the net work during Dec, Jan, Feb .
Quote
We would like to state that If any of our competitors continues to add large amounts of hashing power to the network during December, January or February. We will continue to release our devices as competitively priced as we can to protect our customers share of the network.

Thanks
KnCMiner Team

KnC made a promise .........We will continue to release our devices..........KnC knew that it was highly probable that their competitors would keep selling machines ................so they preemted this by giving us this statement , which is a tool used to give us confidence so we would continue to invest in their ability and integrity.

So seeing that it was highly probable  back in June 2013  KnC would have pre ordered with their supplies months ago........wouldn't they Huh??........because they told us to keep our "Coins Handy"   .............So what is going on Huh...................Its quite simple business preemting really . My dad was a farmer  and he always  had extra grain stored for sowing or extra hay stored for the stock ........This whole btc mining is about preemting what might possible happen . The Protection proves that KnC are on the ball .......the Jupiters are proof of KnC ability to get the job done right ........KnC are a very switched on company

So what the hell is going on ..............Im very suspicious right now .....I dont believe KnC wasnt pre-pared for this  !!!!...... ?

Sorry Bitcoinorama..........I dont mean to pick on you ,  because  you have always  come across as a straight shooter ...........but this statement   "I believe it's more likely to be upgrade module, there appears to be a bottleneck on acquiring controller boards."............to me , doesnt seem to make sence ............hmmmm , maybe its just my suspicious mind .

I would really like a more clearer answer . Are you honestly saying your suppliers weren't keeping you updated months in advanced . Knowing the "Lead" time in business like yours would mean  Life or Death ..............    Its very hard to swallow .

KnC  (with respect)....Are there going to be any more Jupiters sold Ever ? .......If yes .........When ?

sincerely

Pete

*clap*

I said this about 600 pages ago, but Jupiter was a proven product, the last batch was made and shipped in a very short period of time and it's just silly to retire it when it''s still the best out there.  KNC should have used the money they made to invest in the neptune themselves and announce it much nearer the time

I have a very early order for a neptune but was only willing to gamble on one of them with the vague timeline and it's looking a wise decision at this point.

Many of us and KNC themselves no doubt expected a lull in the hashrate growth after the last jupiters shipped but this has not been the case with even greater quantities of hardware appearing to maintain the 30% per difficulty jumps

This means we need new hardware and as said above by rolling, if KNC don't offer anything the money will be going elsewhere, and if they wait too long and another serious competitor appears then mass refunds will follow which will do nothing to help knc's future.
