Liton Das was criticized yesterday for playing an innings of 73 runs but could not win the team but despite a big score of 193 runs the bowling could not stop the team and had to be defeated.
In yesterday's match, Dhaka supporters thought they might be going for a win in the first match of the BPL 2024-2025 session but it proved a failure as they were defeated for the sixth time in a row.

This helped his team Sydney Sixers set very high score of 221 runs against Perth Scorchers. By the way Scorchers tried very hard they could not reach target and lost match by 14 runs.

Second match was also very exciting, with Mathew Short scoring 109 runs in just 54 balls and getting help from Chris Lynn 47 runs and Alex Ross 44 runs. This helped Adelaide Strikers win match by big margin of 56 runs against Brisbane Heat who got bowled out for 195 runs.

SA20 #2 — DSG vs PC

Saw talks about this match on Twitter, had to watch highlights. To lose a game from a stage when you needed 41 runs off 41 balls, with 9 wickets in hand — this is choke of the highest order!

Reminded me of SA vs IND in T20WC last year but here PC pretty much did everything themselves to lose.

Many players did well in this match and we saw excellent performance by players of both teams and we like that kind of matches in which botyh teams play well and give good effort. We saw good target by the players of Wellington and that was looking like Wellington team will win this match but Wellington bowlers could not defend the target in this match and Central Districts opener Boyle played very well and at the start of match gave 77 runs to his team . After this ,Cleaver also gave good effort and tried best to win this match.
