You are right .It is very difficult to accept that an experienced team like Pakistan will lose against Sri Lanka in the final match. Especially the Pakistan squad is more experienced than Sri Lanka. They also underestimated the Srilankan batters after winning the toss and initially putting pressure on them. Bhanuka Rajapaksa played brilliantly yesterday as it was a pressure match. Babar Azam is out of form and this might not go well with Pakistan in the T20WC.

Pakistan has won all the matches in this Asia cup without Babar and Fakhar scoring any significant runs. Only Rizwan was a consistent performer in the top 3 batsmen. Yes, I agree there are only two or three batsmen who were performing but since we were on a winning roll, we overlooked our weakness.
