The T10 scene is completely dominated by West Indian players. Deccan Gladiators made a massive 159/0 in 10 overs. And not just Andre Russell, but Tom Kohler-Cadmore also contributed to the total. Ravi Rampaul and Dwayne Bravo are regarded by many as the best bowlers in T10 format. And these two went for 70 runs from their combined 4 overs. It was a completely one-sided match. For Delhi Bulls, only Chandrapaul Hemraj was able to make a score of more than 15. Tymal Mills had figures of 2-0-4-2 in a T10 match. Can you believe that?

Yes Indies players are doing very well in leagues but same is not seen in there national team which is a big concern. Tymal Mills performance will defiantly help him getting sport in English team. T10 is biggest league after IPL IMO, you see players and teams from all around the world. Russell and Tom were unstoppable yesterday thats y Ravi and Bravo were helpless.

I watch very few matches of this format and now having feeling this format is surely going to be last nail in ODI coffin because this format is more destructive and having more attraction for many countries because now we need only 2 or 3 hours for a match which is very suitable for them as entertainment purpose and specially peoples from Sub-Continent can do much better for this in European and Middle East countries.

But, sadly I think we have no approval from ICC about this format but now after some good contribution we will have some better view about this and many other countries those have full membership in ICC will try this format. England is working on 100, but they need to think about this, which could be more profitable.

Match b/w Team Abu Dhabi and Bengla Tigers end in a draw as both teams scored 98 runs. There is no super over so both teams are now at no 3. While Deccan Gladiators able to win the final, it was very much one sided match. DG scored 159 without losing any wicket, the star performer was Russell 90 runs of 32 balls. It was fully entertaining.

Anyone here watching the Abu Dhabi T10?

Today we have the final match between Deccan Gladiators and Delhi Bulls. Gladiators are led by Wahab Riaz, with David Wiese, Andre Russell, Tymal Mills, Wanindu Hasaranga and Tom Banton expected in the starting XI. Bulls are being led by Dwayne Bravo, and have Ravi Rampaul, Mohammad Hafeez, Luke Wright, Eoin Morgan, Adil Rashid, Rilee Rossouw and Sherfane Rutherford in the rank and file. Afghan players have excelled in this tournament so far. The top run scorers are Hazratullah Zazai and Rahmanullah Gurbaz while Naveen-ul-Haq has taken 8 wickets from 8 matches.

I saw few of T10 matches but wasn't able to follow it completely. Apart from this final today we have match for no 3 slot also, Abu Dhabi vs bengla tigers. There are few big names in this league. If I remember correctly lahore qaladers team also participated in this league last year. Is this league run by an Indian group?

Good news, PCB already listen your advice, and now they drop Sarfaraz Ahmed from both twenty/twenty and ODI squads which are going to face West Indies in coming home series. https://twitter.com/TheRealPCB/status/1466383827207606277/photo/1In this format no team is bad or good if on your day you are doing very good you can beat any team because it's all about luck and having some good practice so most chances this could be very good and interesting series even it's having not good time because this could be Winter and Smog already disturbing but still good that West Indies is coming here for playing few matches after New Zealand and England pull out due to security reasons.

Sarfraz may be there as reserve Wicket keeper but now PCB realized to give chance to some youngster. Windies are somewhat good in T20 format, so Pakistan must not take them light. Lahore is closed because of SMOG but all WI ODI and T20 matches are in khi, so they will go as scheduled. Good news for cricket fans in Pakistan, as international matches will be played here.

The Pakistani cricket team has announced a 15-man squad for their home T20Is against West Indies, which are set to begin on December 13th. The squad is the same as normal, but Shoaib Malik, Imad Wasim, and Sarfaraz Ahmed have been left out, while Hasan Ali will not play. Muhammad Hasnain returns to the squad. It appears to be a balanced squad, but there should be some new faces in the team. I think Pakistan needs to improve its spin department. There is no genuine spinner in the team anymore. But, Pakistan will crush the West Indies with the current lineup.
I don't know why Sarfraz is still sticking with team while he is hardly given any chance. He is senior player and must not accept the role of 12th man, we see him coming with drinks for the players. WI is not doing good these days in any format while Pakistan is strong in all formats. So we wont expect to see any exciting game, it will be one sided contest.

Furthermore while we can and should criticise BCCI for IPL, but why allow the player’s the free pass as they chose to participate in it very well knowing they could have opted out of it, so end story is even player’s care more about money then their health.

Very right. Every player knows the schedule ahead of IPL and the biol bubble condition. We saw earlier this year international players playing IPL in India during height of covid19 in India. Its very clear that players care more for money then health and security.

I think ICC has to give the shorter format much more important if they do want to bring more countries into playing cricket and a lot of other countries interested. Because if they can keep people interested in cricket we can say that it that cricket playing Nations will be increasing day by day. But to do that the shorter formats are going to be important. And maybe also popularizing the t10 format more can be a great option in my opinion.

I don't think we will see any new team getting test status in coming years as T20 is getting popular day by day. Even if there are new countries that can produce good T20 level teams, its good for the future of cricket.

Too much load is having some big effect on players mentally and physically, and we all know about this because we have too many examples about this but sadly BCCI and their greediness is not looking in this way because they are having some big amounts in their wallets and with having nothing to do just announcing new teams and more work load on players is having nothing issue for them, so it's going to be carried on for some more time until we have some big side effect of this all.
They don't think players are also humans, and they need some better environment for giving their 100%, or they must bring some soft policy for them as players allowed to have a limit of matches for year or this event, then surely this will bring some better results for franchise and players both.
@SirLancelot the biggest issue for player’s was bubble fatigue, and unless their living in bubble doesn’t end I expect them to be more drained for the future tournaments.

In my opinion, we would clear through a chance of getting money if they can. And also if they can play really well in IPL they will be known worldwide. And it is also a really great experience to play with players from overseas and learn from a lot of great players and coaches. So for me, the players are ok to play if there is a chance.

Honestly, the lack of performance last year was because maybe the players didn't play cricket for a long time and that could affect their performance. People might say that I am taking the side of the cricketers but for me whatever happens I will always support the players. And we all know that the last couple of years were really tough for everyone. So I think cricketers performance from up next is going to be much more improved.

First of all, I don't understand what you mean that you don't think players are human? But yes players need a better environment and if they are allowed a certain amount of matches maybe they will do better and it will motivate them to do better in those matches.

CSK : Dhoni, Jadeja, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Moeen Ali

It looks like CSK is building a stable squad again. However, the performance of each team in the IPL depends on the form of the players. Last season we saw that despite having a lot of star players, the performance of the teams was not that much good. RCB can be considered as an example. There was no shortage of star players and celebrities in their squad. Yet their performance was poor.
CSK and MI are 2 franchise who looks at their long term plan so nothing surprising. DC also getting their act together for last 2 seasons and recent retention shows that they are also following CSK-MI path. RCB is a curious case study for everyone, hope this change in future with new skipper.

Quite surprised with the retentions from Sunrisers Hyderabad. They went for Umran Malik and Abdul Samad. These two are yet to prove their mettle in the IPL, as far as I am concerned. They retained Kane Williamson, which is a good move. But spending so much money on two inexperienced players, who could have been purchased at much lower prices during the auction doesn't make any sense. Also, they dropped David Warner, after so many years at the franchise. Just one bad season and he was kicked out.
David Warner and SRH cleared that dropping Warner from the captaincy and team was not a cricketing decision. He and coach Tom Moody were not in good term on-off ground (team selection etc) which played a big part and also do you remember Warner-Kane fight news in SL when they were heading their home due to cancellation of IPL 2020 season?

--------
Rashid, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Warner and few other have personal goals, like captaincy etc so they want new setup.

Rashid Khan is also not being retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad. Laxman and Murali should have retained him for the upcoming season, he was regular and most suitable to SRH. It might be a player choice to go into auction! But one foreign player will remain. To Rashid, it's all about glory. There is no alternative for Warner. He can either be sold to another team, or he can be bought by SRH again. Let's see what SRH thinks.

I think one of the reasons for the poor performance of RCB is that Virat Kohli is not in form. He is an important and remarkable batsman. The team always expects an innings bigger than him. However, he has not been able to play well for some time. He flops in both the IPL and the national team. If he can return to form next season, we will see the RCB team in a strong position again.

When was the last time you remember Virat Kohli playing well in IPL? I do not remember but I may be wrong. From RCb only two players performed well in the last IPL. Glen Maxwell was the only batter who had performed well as a batter. Harsha Patel was the one who was good in bowling in the last IPL. Kohli was pathetic through the last IPL.
