^^^^ I will not prefer Samson as the keeper. He is a good player, but consistency is not there. Also, his team coordination is very poor, so when most of the time he scores a 50 or a 100, his team loses. For me, Rishabh Pant is the first choice without any doubt. Also, I would rather prefer KL Rahul, Quinton de Kock or AB de Villiers ahead of Samson. Jonny Bairstow is another good option. The selection of Samson doesn't make any sense.

I would have picked KL Rahul in the place of Shikar Dawan or Prithvi Shaw. Also, Kohli is for skipper.
What are your choices?
Shikar Dawan played really well this season and scored some match winning innings and so does Prithvi Shaw as he was in great touch in the IPL as he is continuing his great form from the Vijay Hazare Trophy. If you want to include Virat Kohli as the captain which i never had an opinion that he is the best captain as he never perform as a captain when things are not going in his way i would replace Sanju Samson as the wicket keeper because ABD can be the wicket keeper and hence replace him with Virat Kohli .

Cricinfo picked a dream team of IPL 2021 based on so far concluded matches:

On quick view, I found something interesting:
1. MI and DC managed to have 3 players whereas SRH,RCB and RR are having one player each.
2. CSK is with 2 players and there is no surprising on seeing Jadeja here.
3. KXIP and KKR are the teams not up to the mark of making a cut into this eleven

That looks like a perfect selection. Maybe one of the team at present will keep all this players in their list for the next IPL auction. As said KL Rahul seems a good pick, but every player in this list is on the top level of performance. Kohli is always the right pick for any squad.

Players are ready too since Indian cricket is become more competitive than any other cricket boards due to lot of young and new talents so the existing players want to remains in the team by showing something related to their skills on the ground, even accepting everything that BCCI orders can be one on it. But I guess the chance of IPL in 2021 is really slim now probably it may resume in Jan 2022 if there is no covid cases by that time.

The BCCI needs a resumption of the IPL, sometime before the T20 World Cup. The amount of money involved is too huge to cancel the tournament. According to Sourav Ganguly, BCCI will incur a loss of ₹25 billion if the remainder of the tournament is not held. I don't think they can afford that, because even before the start of the new financial year they were in difficult financial condition. But if the tournament resumes within the next 2-3 months, then I expect a lot of players to pull out.

BCCI also have almost 1.5ish month window for the IPL after the WTC finals, if they are seriously thinking about it. After that India touring England (Against England) in Aug for month or so, then comes the T-20 WC. So BCCI got July if PCL takes the May-June or Aug-Sept window.
So India will be flying to England to play the WTC against New Zealand and that is scheduled on June 18 and then there is a window till the next tournament which is the tour of England and it starts from August 04 and ends in September 10 and then the T20 World cup will start and there should be enough time for the players to rest as well if not they will burn themselves out.
Considering BCCI not scheduling any dead bilateral series with Sri lanka or something. BCCI does have a habit of squeezing every bit from the national team that's why every year their schedule is jam packed and tiring so fingers crossed.

The players seems to be exhausted after what happened in the IPL. Multiple players have tested positive and many others are awaiting test results. A number of players and match officials are taking care of their loved ones who are sick. At this point if the BCCI squeeze in more fixtures, there will be a rebellion from the players and some of the regular names would even pull out. The BCCI will be in a dilemma here. They need one or two additional tours this year, to lessen the impact of the losses from IPL.

Since the last tournament was conducted in UAE i think they have three stadium and i do not think they can conduct both these tournaments simultaneously. Both the cricket bodies have to talk to each other and make their decision as they cannot wait for a much longer time as it could affect other tournaments as well which are scheduled earlier, all of these plan if the pandemic situation changes if not we might not see the scheduled matches as well.

The UAE is home to more than a dozen cricket stadiums of international standard, and now even the smaller emirates such as Ajman, Al Dhaid and Al Ain are having good stadiums that can host international matches. So even in the case of these tournaments proceeding simultaneously, there is not going to be an issue of stadium availability. And since the spectators are not being allowed, they can stage the matches in smaller stadiums as well (if there is a shortage of facilities).

Thanks for enlightening me with details of the available stadium in UAE. I thought that they had only two or three stadiums and was wondering whether it is possible to conduct both the tournament simultaneously. In my opinion, it will be great if both the boards decide to conduct their leftover tournament in UAE. BCCI now also need to decide whether they will be able to conduct the T20 world cup in India or they need to shift it to a new location. The time is ticking fast and nothing has come out from BCCI's end.

PCB also considering hosting remaining PSL games in UAE. They got something 20ish games left in the tourney. Cricket fans are seriously hungry for the some sort of T-20 entertainment so hope its gets the green light asap.
That is the only solution right now and will there be a clash between PSL and IPL if they both plan at the same time to resume the tournament  Grin.
BCCI may not resume the tournament for the next few months because they are getting ready for the test championship which is going to happen in June. Meanwhile PCB have enough time to schedule their matches in the next few months.

Whatever BCCI & PCB is deciding, they should decide fast. I feel they should go ahead with the decision and reschedule all the matches in UAE. BTW does UAE have grounds available to host both the tournaments?

But aftre the success of IPL 2020, I guess the BCCI bosses got overconfident. It was the mistake of their lives to schedule IPL 2021 in India. I just hope that they will not repeat this mistake anytime during this year.
It is not the BCCI that was overconfident about the situation but the political system that was overconfident that the situation is under control and if you listened to the boasting of Modi you will understand he was thumping his chest for defeating the virus and he even went on to say that he turned India as the vaccine hub to help the world Roll Eyes. When you have irresponsible leaders like these what is the issue in conducting the tournament under a controlled environment.

There are many states who are still witnessing a gradual increase in the positivity rate after being in lockdown for more than a month now. Lockdown is not a solution to this issue. Mass scale vaccination can only help Indians and the government is failing in that zone too. They do not have a lot of vaccine in hand and the demand is very high. The government should involve big private companies to upscale the distribution and production of vaccine.
I don't think the Indian government will ever be able to meet the demand for vaccines. India has a population of 1.366 billion. I don't think the Indian government has the capacity to produce so many vaccines. India is a very big country, the people of some of their states are very poor and illiterate. They can't even follow the hygiene rules. And that's why coronavirus infections have increased so much.

And it looks like both the T20 wc and remaining IPL will be hosted from UAE since it is the best and reliable compared to other venues.

Still waiting for the confirmation. From what I heard, the BCCI is still resisting the move, claiming that the situation in India will soon come under control. I am not sure how they reach such a conclusion, since cases are sharply increasing in states such as Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka. The BCCI is behaving not just foolishly, but they are also treating the ICC and other cricket boards with a lot of contempt.

BTW, the latest news from IPL is that Tim Seifert has become the first overseas player to test positive for COVID 19. He was a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders squad (which reported multiple positive cases among the players earlier). Seifert will undergo treatment at a private hospital in Chennai. Apart from Seifert, Michael Hussey (the batting coach of Chennai Super Kings) had tested positive previously.
Medical experts say it is possible to control the spread only if there is nationwide lockdown for two or three months but until now there is no sign of nationwide complete lockdown, only lockdowns with restrictions on the states where the cases are high so it's more likely the cases will hit spike further if the central government doesn't take timely actions.

This means we can't see the remaining of IPL 2021 if BCCI still don't want to move to other country.

As I saw in a news, the Indian government is not interested in re-lockdown now, they are looking for another way. Corona infections in India are increasing day by day. Now I don't think there is any other way but to lockdown again. Moreover the rural people of India are not following lockdown and health restrictions.
