I am yet to watch the IPL this season and unfortunately i was not able to join the competition this time, was able to see the scoreboard and some highlights and the first three matches were high scoring games and hopefully it was intense and interesting to watch the game.

I am still in the ocean and one more week and i will be signing off and will be watching the matches Smiley.
Koi gal ni veera, T-20 WC is coming soon  Grin Be safe

~snip~

I understand that Vijay Shankar is one of the very few pace bowling all rounders in India. But when was the last time he gave a decent performance? He had only one 30 plus score during the last IPL (in which he played 8 matches). Abdul Samad is an explosive batsman, but I don't know whether he has the patience to put up a big score. And this is where Kane Williamson fits in. I personally believe that Williamson should have been included in the playing XI, instead of Nabi.
Guess i remember only 1 inning but had to put on my 3d glasses first and would advice same to everyone, when watching Vijay Shankar.  Grin

Nabi is taking all rounder slot and he bats okay for AFG but he bats up in the order for his national team and that's not the case in the IPL as SRH already got world class batsmen in the squad. We'll see Williamson soon in the middle order.

Agreed with you and teosanru comment.

They really need to be creative with their batting order, Samad is good hitter of the ball and hit sixes very cleanly so he definitely deserve to bat up at least above Vijay Shankar. Shankar is okay during the big collapse but for quick runs Samad is good enough.

2 quick wickets and game tilting towards KKR for sure but dew could come into play, it should be tight game imo as SRH got depth in their battling line up where Rashid Khan comes at number 8 and he knows how to swing bat.
This match just showed how SRH messed up their batting line up, they had the batsman to win this chase but they were not sending the proper players according to the situation, as you said Rashid Khan can swing the bat but he never came out to bat and they held back Abdul Samad and you cannot consume the entire pressure in the last few overs and think that they can swing the bat and win the match.

Today the team chasing lost the match  Undecided. I thought SRH could chase the score but KKR was able to pick wickets when SRH was gaining momentum and the power hitting by Abdul Samad was too late as they scored just 6 runs in the 15 over and just 2 runs in the 13th over and if you are chasing 187 runs you cannot win a match wasting balls like that.

The early wickets has been changed the game buddy if SRH got good start sure the game will be SRH but unfortunately it is not happened and SRH lose the match with 10 runs.

Samad scored some good runs in the last few balls but no one can be blamed because SRH tried their best and lost the match by 10 runs, David Warner needs more match practice I guess because he was rusty with his bat today. Saha was one of the best player but he is having no form I guess so need someone to open the innings with Warner for better performance in the upcoming matches.
In T20 the best players who can clear the boundary easily should bat the longest and they have Jonny Bairstow in the team and yet they are pushing him down the order. Warner and Jonny Bairstow should open for them or they need to find another explosive opener and find someone that could strengthen their middle order.

Saha is a good wicket keeper but i do not think he is a good T20 opening batsman until he proves me wrong, i think he played some good innings last season and so is the reason they are trying him.

My question from SRH dugout is why Nabi? Why Shankar? You need to send your pinch hitter above in these situations. Abdul Samad isn't a fresher he has a good reputation of hitting big sixes. Nabi is no proper pinch hitter it's a well-known fact. SRH really needs to rethink the combination. They have such a good batting lineup and reached so close to the target. I think the difference was of those 4-5 extra balls played by Nabi and Shankar. They should be sent up when the team is batting first and there is a quick fall of wickets. I think this game will very well teach them this lesson at least. KKR on the other hand are really short of death bowlers, Andre Russel bowling 20th so nicely is really a surprise. I feel KKR has the weakest bowling lineup amongst all teams.

At this point, the game can swing either way. 88 runs needed from 8 overs at 11 runs per over, with 8 wickets in hand for SRH. And the most important thing here for SRH is that Jonny Bairstow is at the crease. But I disagree when you say that SRH has got depth in their batting. Look at the players who will come next -  Vijay Shankar, Mohammad Nabi and Abdul Samad. None of these three are in good form right now.

Edit: Bairstow is out. Cummins got the wicket.

I doubt KKR will win the match! All of them are old and donnot have anything left in them. These bowlers bloom once a year in IPL and you cannot expect them to perform from day one. Hyderabad are favourite nin this match.
I think KKR have a chance here to win the match and it all depends upon how David Warner and Jonny Bairstow performs as they are their high profile players who could change the match and if Shakib Al Hasan and Pat Cummins could bowl a good line and length then they could increase the pressure to score off the other bowlers and it is not going to be an easy chase.

Edit: Warner is back in the pavilion.

At the end of 15 overs, KKR collected 154 runs and they lost only 1 wicket. KKR's two batsmen Rana and Tripathi playing just great. Rana is unbeaten on 78 off 50 balls and Tripathi is unbeaten on 53 off 28 balls. Looks like KKR will win today. Because KKR's bowling lineup is much stable.
Tripathi gone now but the deadly man came into the crease now, Russel who just scored 4 from first ball itself, Again another high scoring thriller which is good to watch but IPL is turning into batsmen heaven while bowlers have no choice other than hoping for wickets in most of the matches.

But wait, SRH is also having strong batting line up so we can't predict anything now.
Look at the KKR's bowling lineup. Pat Cummins, Shakib Al Hasan, and Harbhajan Singh. These three are very experienced and skilled bowlers. If KKR is able to collect more than 190 then hope they will be win this match easily. They lost 4 wickets in 17.3 overs and scored 160 runs. Now there are two new batsmen at the crease. Let's see how they perform.

The left handers of Delhi Capitals have begun their performance in a much stable manner. The power play is well used, both Dawan and Prithvi Shah maintained the run rate above 10. The opening partnership increased the pressure over the CSK bowlers and that is where things went out of control. The same is well utilised by the Delhi Capitals make a big win with 7 wickets remaining.

CSK was just hopeless. Their strategy of including too many oldies (i.e players above 38-40 years of age) is clearly not working. And another big negative is the poor form of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. During the last edition also, Dhoni's batting was unsatisfactory. Ruturaj Gaikwad as the opener is not working. Their bowlers are also conceding too many runs. The only bright spots from the first match were Sam Curran, Ravindra Jadeja, Suresh Raina and Moeen Ali.
There is no issues on their batting side to be honest, even though the start was too bad and Ruturaj and Dhoni got out too early still they have power to score 180+ is impressive though but the main problem came with the pitch which was not assisting any kind of bowling in the second innings and also from the second half of first innings that is why the game shifted from low to high scoring game.

I don't understand why they are not allowing the broadcast of IPL in Pakistan. I heard from my Indian friends that they were able to watch the Pakistan Super League (PSL) on various TV channels and Hotstar. If that is the case, I don't know why the Pakistan government should implement this ban. Obviously Pakistan players are not allowed in IPL, but that is another topic and it should not be mixed with the broadcasting of the matches.

This happens in every IPL and pakistani fans are not allowed to see the matches in an official way. Although IPL does not allow Pakistani players but we as an audience still want to see those matches. As always, i will have to find an illegal way to see the IPL matches.

If the government has blocked the broadcast of the tournament, so there can't be any "legal" avenue to watch these matches. You can watch pirated feed in YouTube or Facebook. These are not legal, but as such you are not commiting any offense. One step further, you can use a VPN or subscribe to some online streaming websites. But here it gets murky in legal terms. It is against the law, although the chances of the authorities acting against you is very minimal.
