After the first few days of PSL, i am sharing the points table here. Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi (the three big cities) seems to be strong in this year PSL.

New Zealand are in a strong position to win the T20 series against Australia however I think Australia can take some confidence out of the last match even though they lost by 4 runs. It was a much better performance by Australia, that vital wicket of Stoinis in the last over is what got New Zealand over the line. Maybe a change is needed for Australia at the top as Finch has not been in good form for a while now, he will need to play a lot better or he risks losing his spot in the team even if he is the captain.

They are ahead by 2-0 and are having the home advantage. But I need to caution them against complacency. Last match was very close, and New Zealand scraped through just by 4 runs. But the good thing for New Zealand is that the Australian bowlers are yet to find good line and length and they are struggling to adjust to smaller boundaries and ground conditions. Wednesday's match can be a decider.

- No more empty stands.

Would there be full capacity crowd allowed in this year IPL or will there be 50% or less people will be allowed to enter the stadium compared to the total capacity of the stadium ? Covid not over yet so caution must be taken but it will be good to see crowd in the stadium. Without crowd, the T-20 matches seems boring.
Most chances they will go with 25% to 50% because right now no one want to go with any trouble currently PSL is doing good with just 20% and they are going to increase 50% in coming days so here in IPL 50% should be also very good for them as this give some good relief to all .

Yes, anything between 30-60% is a good crowd but in psl they are playing at only 2 cities while ipl will be played in about 5 cities and more travelling means more chances of exposure to the potential virus.

- 5 cities shortlisted for the 2021 IPL. Chennai, Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata and Ahmedabad.
- Mumbai is another candidate but let's hope that they reject this idea, right now covid is big problem for Mumbai.

Yes, in the first few matches in PSL teams were unable to make big score but in last few matches, teams are unable to defend big scores  Cheesy
Look like the team batting second will chase the target no matter how big the target is.

A similar pattern was observed during IPL 2020 as well. During the first 2-3 matches, the teams struggled to make a total of 150-160. First big total came in the fourth match. I guess the players need some time to get adjusted to the pitch conditions and weather.

I was looking forward to watch Paul Stirling playing for Islamabad United. But it looks as if he is unable to find a slot in the playing XI. Actually he is a very good T20 player, capable of scoring at a strike rate of 180-200. If he gets a chance to play for the franchise then he will be able to make some good scores.

Teams are struggling to score big totals so far in the PSL. Peshawar Zalmi could only make 140 earlier today, and now the Sultans ended up at 150/8 (despite 71 from Mohammad Rizwan). And in reply, Islamabad seems to be in some sort of trouble. They have lost two important wickets before the first power play ends (Phil Salt and Shadab Khan). Right now it is like 50/50.

Already the England are down 2 wickets , I thought there is another twist in the match but so far looks like the spinners are dominating and India might win this one.

I missed the match but just managed to watch the highlights. How small and fast was the ground? literally any ball could be hit for six irrespective of where it hits the bat. Unlucky for Stoinis for edging it straight up. If it hit anywhere else, it could have been a 6 for sure. Some amazing and clean looking straight drives from Martin Guptil. Entertaining watch for the spectators but it doesn't seem fair for the bowlers to be honest.

Me too watched the highlights on YouTube and I don't think that the boundaries were that small. However, the track was offering a lot of bounce and that's why some of the top edges ended up as sixes. Guptil and Stoinis were just amazing, but unfortunately one of them ended up on the losing side. Anyway, the margin isn't going to matter and New Zealand is up by 2-0 in the series so far. Three matches remain in this series and I would say that it is still possible for Australia to make a come back.

One of the smallest ground and anyone struggling with form should play in this ground. Martin Guptil was struggling and he was able to return to form and the mishits were going for six and the only way you get dismissed is if you sky the ball  Cheesy. This is the first time i am seeing James Neesham is T20 mode scoring 6 in the first three balls he faced and his contribution help New Zealand win the match.

Curious case of RCB.
~Edited out~

Don't know what happened to Jamieson. It is very rare to see him conceding more than 8 runs per over in the T20 format. And today he conceded 56 runs from his 24 balls. RCB curse seems to be back. BTW, the match was a very exciting one.. 15 runs were needed from the last over, and both Stoinis and Sams were in good touch. But then Sams got out and Stonis followed him in quick succession. All credit to Neesham, who bowled such a great last over.

@JSRAW normally I would have ridiculed this theory, but it’s happened with so many player’s in the past and now it does seem to me that being an RCB player is bad for their game. Also do you think that if Virat leaves RCB he may finally be able to win the IPL?, or he’ll always be cursed because of his connection to RCB?.
No one can deny that he's gun batter for the RCB, so leaving franchise should be out of the equation. IMO It would be better if he step down as RCB captain (Which he doesn't want). 7-8 years of captaincy and no freaking title. Its hard to find any captain in the history of cricket, who perfected the failure for his franchise or team in any format and still enjoying the throne.

Curious case of RCB.

If you are player then you should be very careful when RCB backing you. Every time they back any players, poor guys turns into shit and bad luck starts following them unless they release the player, at least that's what happening in NZ vs AUS.

Kyle Jamieson in the last 2 match
-  3 overs-32 runs-1 wicket
-  4 overs-56 runs-0 wicket

In today's match between Multan vs Peshawar, Multan have been playing very good and might be close to making 200 runs. They are currently 159/3 in 16.5 overs. Vince is batting on 70 in 49 balls and Maqsood just got out at 36. If Rossouw can hit some couple of sixes then the score could even cross 200+ and will be an interesting to see how does Peshwar bats and how close they can reach.

Yet another big score in this edition of PSL, and this time thanks to James Vince. Sultans made 193 from their 20 overs. Apart from Vince, Rilee Rossouw and Sohaib Maqsood also hit some boundaries in the depth overs to take the total close to 200. Zalmi has started well with Kamran Akmal hitting consecutive boundaries off Shahid Afridi. It looks as if Akmal has decided to take on Afridi. He don't want Afridi to settle down and then create trouble for the batsmen.

Australia started the match off perfectly but Conway and Phillips helped get New Zealand back on track and were able to post a nice total for Australia to chase. Conway was unlucky to not get his century finishing on 99 N/O. Australia's batting was poor which I wasn't expecting, its not that often we see a one sided match when Australia is playing but New Zealand were simply to good on the day.

In the end, New Zealand turned out to be a well balanced side compared to Australia, which is dependent on a few players. The New Zealand domestic cricket system is producing a great number of young players in their 20s, while in Australia the domestic tournaments are dominated by players who are in their 30s. Australia hosts the second largest franchise T20 league in the world, and I expected them to be better in that format.
