Waiting for Babar Azam to give a solid start to Kings team.
They won the match easily, need to learn about the team strengths to place a bet. Karachi Kings looks like a strong team with Babar Azam,  Daniel Christian, Joe Clarke and Mohammad Amir.

Karachi kings looks strong throughout the match and won this first encounter easily. They chased 126 n only 13.5 overs. Arshad Iqbal was the man of the match. Another innings to watch was from Chris Gayle who scored 39 runs from 24 balls from the Quetta gladiators side.

Sanju Samson again dropped, he hasn't got much good chances. But, Deserving call for both Ishan Kishan and Surya Kumar Yadav. Bumrah is rested, as he is not fit to play. I guess the present bowling department making an impact in England batting lineup. In general a strong side in all the department. Exciting Series to watch.
India have abundance of talents and Sanju Samson is yet to make an impact in the international matches, England have the strongest team in T20 and it will be a close series and my bet is on England.

As Rayudu performed so well when he opened in 2018, proper use of his potential is also been jeopardize because of the uncertainty of his batting position.
I hope they will include Imran Tahir in the team as he is the best bowler in the shorter format and Mooen Ali if given the opening slot and if he performs would be a crucial position and it will allow them the freedom to add bowlers. The problem with Raina is that we have no idea about his fitness as he is not playing international cricket.

Couple of things of this IPL auction - Would Arjun Tendulkar be picked by any other team if Mumbai had not picked him? Or was Mumbai had to picked since Sachin is associated with Mumbai?
I doubt whether any other team will pick Arjun Tendulkar and i doubt whether he will get an opportunity to play. The selection must be a gift to Tendulkar by the Ambani family Cheesy.

Last Year Vivo was not chosen due to Chinese company, so how come the board has made an approval for the same company this time, when as far as know India has banned even the Chinese app but the board is allowing the Vivo as the main sponsor, is'nt that a big debateable discussion with BCCI.
There are many hypocrisies and banning of the Chinese app is one thing and someone sponsoring huge amount is another, the mobile companies are not banned to avoid them.

India announced their T-20 Squad against England. Sanju Samson out, guess his luck ran out on short Australia tour, he can blame himself. Ishan Kishan and SK Yadav got the chance. Bumrah is rested for right reasons.

Good to see Chris Gayale in some form and hitting the ball well but was out at 39. Gladiators are struggling a bit as lost 6 wickets already on 101 after 14.2 overs. If Ben cutting remain on pitch till last over then can expect some 150+ runs else if Kings manage to pick up couple of wickets here then might not even reach 140 and would be difficult to save the match for Gladiators. Waiting for Babar Azam to give a solid start to Kings team.

The auction looked like some sort of favoring the players they like the most, reject good players while paying huge amount of money to players who never performed well in the IPL like Steven Smith and Glen Maxwell and Piyush Chawla and Harbhajan Singh getting big amounts as well and they are not playing international cricket for along time while neglecting some youngsters and the most controversy will be the inclusion of Arjun Tendulkar and there are talks of nepotism popping up again  Cheesy.

I agree with all the other names, but not with Steve Smith. That guy is a legend, and he just got ₹2.2 crore. Useless players such as Shivam Dube received double that amount. And the bids for players such as Piyush Chawla surprises me. He has been a failure in recent editions, and age is not on his side. There are promising spinners around, such as Khrievitso Kense who are never considered by these franchises. Instead they are going for these good for nothing oldies.
Steve Smith has been exceptional in the test format but he failed in the IPL to meet such expectation what he holds in the international standards, hopefully, this year may give chance for him to deliver. All set now and picking players is every franchise choice and decision because they invest their money so its up to their decision for sure and IPL is more for the profits than any other reason.

I wouldn't say that anyone doing any favor to anyone. I look at recent auction as only demand and supply. All rounders and fast bowlers were in demand, batsmen not so much.

Arjun has been part of Mumbai Indian family for very long and from last 2-3 years they are consistently using him as net bowler so it was pretty obvious.

Accusations against Arjun are ridiculous. He has been a part of the Mumbai state squad and have performed well in the domestic tournaments. If you want to remove nepotism, then first get rid of all the businessmen who are ruining cricket, such as the current ICC chairman Greg Barclay. What qualification people like N Srinivasan, Sharad Pawar and Jay Shah have, to run cricket administration?

Bad auction for almost every batsmen. Top scorer of BBL Alex Hales also goes unsold along with many other batsmen. Marnus is not big name in T-20 but he's entertaining personality when on the field. He deserve some bidding for his ranting, needy, innocent nature (he's kind of "Taare Zameen Par" Type of guy), I like him.

Ruturaj Gaikwod showed good intent in the last few matches and scored 4 consecutive half centuries if I am not wrong so he is going to play the slow and steady innings whereas the other partner need to open up like watto or precisely like Brendon Mccullum in the past. Smiley Hope Raina will be back into this IPL so he is the best to fit to play at one down so Faf will be forced to play at number 5 or even below if Moeen going to open the innings.
FAF at 5 is a waste of his talent. He is well suited at opening or one down. As rain will be back which means he will play at 3, which will actually disrupt the balance of this side.

As Rayudu performed so well when he opened in 2018, proper use of his potential is also been jeopardize because of the uncertainty of his batting position.

My potential side......

Want to add Hazlewood on fastpitch but don't know how because I want Imran to play, he is an X- factor to this side.

Chances are there to Moeen Ali to open the innings but he evolved as more bowling all-rounder in recent times so not sure that he is capable of producing a good partnership in the start even though the run rate is not that much required for a team like CSK because they can make it up in the death overs with strong middle order so all they need is to someone to start the innings slow and steady.

If Moeen going to open then Faf will play in the middle order?
CSK needs a good striker and who is opening the innings and Faf du Plessis is coming at one down in the last season and i am not sure who will be opening with Watson gone and i am expecting Moeen Ali to be the right replacement and he will make a difference.

I am quite surprised with the inclusion of Glenn Maxwell. He is regarded as a good T20 player, but his record with IPL is not that great. On top of that, his performance in the recently concluded BBL was not also up to the mark.
Glenn Maxwell can make a difference if he is gets the freedom and motivation and with Kohli and AB de Villiers in the team he might get that freedom and help to perform in Indian pitches.

A similar surprise in this set was Aaron Finch. Even though he is standing at about the end of his career still I expected some team would need a destructive opener like him in the team. I was surprised to see Finch, Roy and Hales being unsold. I think due to limited overseas slot everyone wants foreigners who are all rounders and not just batsmen. Because same thing happened with Shaun Marsh too. Marnus Labuschagne was also a surprise for me. Even though he hasn't proved himself upto that extent in T20 until now. Still due to his technique I thought he isn't that expensive at just 1 crore. But yes next year would be like a mega auction with all players coming back to pool once again.

If Moeen going t pen then Faf will play in the middle order?

Chennai was plagued with slow starts during the last year's tournament. They need someone who is explosive at the start. Moeen is explosive, but he is more like a bowler who can bat a bit. CSK believes that he can play the role that Sunil Narine has with the KKR. But it needs to be seen, if things work out like that. I have always believed that Moeen is a player who is more suitable for ODI format than T20.

CSK needs to pay attention towards the middle order as well. A lot of times during the past season, they lost matches while batting second. Slow batting by Kedar Jadhav, and to an extent that from Mahendra Singh Dhoni can be attributed to this. If that is the case, the I have a feeling that Moeen may be more suitable for the middle or lower middle order.
