Really disappointed with South Africa, they started well but then lost their way after loosing wickets in a short period of time and they still need 36 runs to win from 16 balls and the pressure is building and if they loose one more wicket then there is no way to win the match Undecided.

Edit: Hendricks is gone at a crucial time.
South African start was very good but Usman Qadir introduction change things very quickly for Pakistan and now Hendricks run out give sure win for Pakistan very good match by both teams but South African lost in two overs of Usman Qadir now they need 29 runs from 12 balls Fortune and Pretorius is on crease look like its end for them because both not good enough for doing this all at the end of match.

Edit: A very entertaining end of first match South Africa was looking for 19 runs in first five balls they manage to have 13 now last ball is going by Faheem Ashraf and Pakistan won by 3 runs. Smiley

After 15 overs 123 for 4 is not bad at all if Rizwan going to stay on crease until 20th over then surely Pakistan is going to pass good target around 185 to 190 because he is in good touch with very good strike rate just a little more from him can give good hope to Pakistan for winning this first match of series.

I think South Africa has managed to comeback well in these last overs. At one time in the start of the innings, pakistan was looking to score more than 200 run but now South Africa has a little control over the match. However they may still have to chase between 160-170 runs.

Right now I am watching match live my feeling is after 9 overs South Africa is in good control and Pakistani youngsters doing bad as they are giving wickets very easily run-rate is also not good for batting side. If Pakistan want to win this match then surely they need any target above 170 because in this short format any target less then this is not good enough for team bowling in second inning.

At one point, they were comfortably cruising at 69/2, before losing the wicket of Hussain Talat. Now they are 99/4. The current run rate of 8 is not going to be enough to win against a team such as South Africa. Overall, it is a disappointing performance from the Pakistanis so far. The South African bowling attack is quite inexperienced, and I expected then to make a total of around 180-200. With less than 8 overs remaining, that looks too distant.

Both teams had a good start. For Pakistan scoring 37 in first 5overs meanwhile South Africa taking the first wicket makes score 37-1 in 5 overs.
SA > Pak, if we analyze the first 5 overs.

Anything less than 50-60 runs during the first powerplay is not regarded as a good start, especially in sub-continental surfaces. On top of that, they have lost two of the important wickets as well (that of Babar Azam and Haider Ali). One thing that irritates me the most regarding the Pakistan team is their lack of team bonding and coordination. The run out of Babar Azam is the perfect example. They need to be more careful about the communication, while batting.

Today first Twenty/20 between Pakistan Vs South Africa in Lahore local time 6 P:M and forum time 1 P:M

After losing test series now South Africa want to bounce back hopefully we will watch very entertaining match between these two teams currently South Africa leading this format by 8 - 6 against Pakistan as both teams have 14 matches.

Advantage is with Pakistan after their win in the test series. They have the home advantage, and the bowling looks to be in very good shape with Hasan Ali and Shaheen Shah Afridi picking wickets regularly. South Africa is without the big names and the young players such as Dwaine Pretorius and Jacques Snyman have huge responsibility on their shoulders.

Not disagreeing at all, that's what i meant when i said he brings experience and solidity to the table. For me he's Test great but having said that he's batting is bit dodgy when it comes to T-20 still he's good buy but he can't justify his $1.8 Million paycheck only with his batting.

Multi-million USD paychecks are justified only for players such as Pollard, Maxwell, Cummins, Rahul, Dhawan, Archer, Bumrah.etc. These players are capable of winning matches for their team, if all the other players fail. The same can't be said about players such as Steve Smith. Anyway, we have the IPL 2021 auctions in less than two weeks and everyone will get to see how much money is splashed on some of these players.

Smith will surely take part in the auction, virtually zero chance of him going unsold. He's not T-20 great but he brings experience, solidity for his team. On the other hand Joe Root failed to grabs eyes in IPL so far, for right reasons. Even English team avoid selecting him in T-20 squad so it doesn't matter if he's opting out or not, he's not going to find any buyer anyway.

You can disagree with me, but as far as I am concerned, Smith is one of the best captains out there. During the last tournament, although he didn't scored too many runs, Smith did a pretty decent job in captaining the Rajasthan Royals side. During the initial phases, Smith and Warner were the only non-Indians captaining IPL franchises (before Pollard was appointed as the Mumbai Indians captain during the later phases).

Steve Smith is released from his old IPL team and he might enter auctions, Joe Root and a few other England players have already withdrawn from the IPL this year and we might hear more players skipping this years schedule because of the schedule they were having with all the bubble restrictions and they are playing without meeting their families for months because of these bubble situation and restrictions.

Players such as Steve Smith and Joe Root are legendary players, but they are not that suitable for the shorter format. For the T20 format, it is players such as Pollard, Maxwell and KL Rahul who perform better. The excuse that they need to stay in bio-secure bubbles for many months is to hide the fact that these players can't command a good auction price in the T20 format.

The upcoming IPL auctions are interesting. Players such as Marnus Labuschagne will be up for the first time, and there are rumors that CSK may be interested in him. He performed really well during the BBL season (for Brisbane Heat), although he missed most of the initial phase due to national duty. But then, Steve Smith is an example of a good test player who doesn't always perform at the T20 format. I just hope Labuschagne doesn't end up like him.

From what I have heard, there is a lot of controversy surrounding Arjun Tendulkar. Some of the opposition politicians have linked his selection to the recent tweets made by Sachin Tendulkar (he tweeted against Rihanna and Greta Thuneberg). So even before the auctions begin, he is under a lot of pressure. Anyway, this time some of the teams are having large purses and I won't be surprised if we get to see some record bids.
I heard that the government is using violence against protestors and disconnecting communication networks and Sachin and other current and former players supporting the government and used as Propaganda but why would that affect the selection process of Arjun Tendulkar in IPL, if a team is ready to purchase him then what is the problem? .

Never heard a single instance in the last 3-4 years where some one selected Arjun because of his dad, even in under 19 team he was selected in the squad but not in the playing XI. He's been around for some time as net bowler tho so he's working hard. One thing i admire about Indian cricket is that they don't see your surname when its comes to selection. Doesn't matter if you are son of Binny, Gavaskar or Tendulkar.

Every politician (left-right), Citizen , Social activist etc would never allow or ask for reservation and favoritism when its comes to Army and Cricket team selection. so never take such controversy or news seriously.

Have to agree here. If there was any bias or nepotism in cricket selection, then we could have seen the likes of Rohan Gavaskar, Stuart Binny and Shatrunjay Gaekwad as regular Indian players. But these guys were never successful in international cricket (despite promising start to the first-class career). At least in this case, I have a feeling that politics should be kept outside. Sachin has never sided with any political party, and he has taken a neutral stance in such occasions.

Same is the case with other teams as well. Tagenarine Chanderpaul do have 43 first class matches to his name, but he was never in contention for a slot on the West Indian senior side. Same goes for Adam Lillee with Australia.

Sachin Paaji ka ladka bada naam karega  Grin He didn't catch many eyeballs with his performance tho, except he's left arm seamer. Mumbai will buy him anyway..

- Strac is not available, again!
- Sreesanth making a comeback, let's see if he finds a buyer.
Arjun Tendulkar enrols into IPL auctions, Starc stays away
