South Africa usually wins matches, when they pick the best team available. In this case Dwayne Pretorius was responsible for their win, as he picked up 5 important wickets. The two bowlers, who were picked to conform to the racial quota (Lutho Sipamla and Andile Phehlukwayo) conceded 60 runs in their 6 overs, while the others conceded 81 runs in 14 overs. Also, in the batting it was Pite van Biljon who guided them to victory while chasing the target and he doesn't have a regular spot in the paying XI.

After looking at the target i placed a small bet on South Africa to win the match and it looks like everything is going smoothly and they can win the match easily as they just need 58 runs from 62 balls and still have 8 wickets in hand and if they loose this match then i might completely stop wagging on T20 matches for a while as nothing is going as per my plans

If you want to be more successful to predict correctly on who is going to win in the final T20, then wait for the toss. The team who will bat first will usually win the match in that part of the world because there is a lot of dew in the evening/night. We have already witness this in the last two T20s.

SA bowlers stole the show today as restricting Pakistan to just 144/7 was the key. Rizwan innings of 51 on top and still restricting Pakistan under 150 itself shows how SA bowlers made a great comeback in the match. Pretorius should be the Player of the match today for his 5-wicket haul.
Today, very good bowling from South African bowlers give shocking score card to Pakistan now they are in complete control Hendricks and Biljon doing good job for visitors 47 runs from 53 balls is not a serious business for them series is alive hopefully now tomorrow match could be good to watch.

The match should have been won convincingly by the Pakistani team but their unpredictable nature turned the match in to a nail-biting one and eventually finally we won. After wining the test series, it is a good start for the T20s also.
Baber is a new captain and he will learn these things with time. However, the win is a win so technically Pakistan is 1 up in the series. This should give more positivity to the team and they should try to win today 2nd T20 to put the series in their name.
In today's match South Africa has won the toss and choose to field which means that they will bat second and the pakistan will have to bowl in the dew.
This gives first advantage to south africa and now its up to them if they can keep pakistan under 150-160 to give them decent chance to win. Anyone betting on SA today ?

Last over, bowled by Faheem surely this was very poor decision by Babar because he need to bring Shaheen or Harris for this Faheem is not good enough bowler for this pressure. This was good luck last ball not go over the boundary otherwise its going to be very bad for bowler and Pakistan but one thing is very good both teams fight hard for this all Hendricks run out was turning point for South Africa lost.
It worked out well in the end. 19 runs were needed from the last over and South Africa couldn't make it. Both Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf had bowled out their quota (they had bowled the 19th and 18th overs respectively). Here I guess the captain did the best thing possible. By the end of the 17th over, 37 runs were needed with 6 wickets in hand and South Africa could have won the match if Faheem was given the 18th over. Babar used his best bowlers instead and that made sure that South Africa lost crucial wickets by the time Faheem came out to bowl.

I did not watch the match live but i thought about betting but stayed away as i was not sure about the players in both the teams as i am not an avid follower of South African or Pakistan team but i know their best players and i could see anyone from South Africa. Predictable or unpredictable, betting against Pakistan in T-20 is not wise move unless they are playing against India. They are pretty solid team in T-20 format so i'm not expecting great things from the Proteas. They only had some chance in Test but they lost that too so from now on it should be easy for Pakistan.
I thought about betting for South Africa before the match but then after seeing the team i placed a bet on Pakistan and they played well but in the end it was a close match even though South Africa lost crucial wickets in the end. Even i am not expecting any great performance from South Africa but who knows if someone comes up with extra ordinary performance so that they could get a good price for the upcoming IPL auctions .

I am not sure about this. South Africa has now lost three matches in a row (two test matches and the first T20I match). The morale is depleted among the South African ranks. On the other hand, the Pakistanis are in top form right now, despite fielding a relatively young and inexperienced side for the T20I series. My prediction is 3-0 sweep for Pakistan in the T20I series, after their 2-0 whitewash of the test series. But after all, Pakistan is one of the most unpredictable teams and it is really hard to make a bet in their favor.
@pakhitheboss I’ll too agree with @bryant.coleman analysis as South Africa’s loss of form is due to their own mistakes, and it’ll take a miracle for them to bounce back in this series. Lastly SA can only win if Pakistan perform bad, but after winning the first match I highly doubt that Pakistan will perform badly in the remaining matches.

South Africa and chokers, name a better word synonymous to their cricket team. If Hendricks stayed at the crease until the end. It potentially could have been a win for them but nah, he has to run without even noticing where the ball is and get run out. Anyways, I bet on Pakistan so Im happy.
