Curious case of RCB.

If you are player then you should be very careful when RCB backing you. Every time they back any players, poor guys turns into shit and bad luck starts following them unless they release the player, at least that's what happening in NZ vs AUS.

Kyle Jamieson in the last 2 match
-  3 overs-32 runs-1 wicket
-  4 overs-56 runs-0 wicket

Don't know what happened to Jamieson. It is very rare to see him conceding more than 8 runs per over in the T20 format. And today he conceded 56 runs from his 24 balls. RCB curse seems to be back. BTW, the match was a very exciting one.. 15 runs were needed from the last over, and both Stoinis and Sams were in good touch. But then Sams got out and Stonis followed him in quick succession. All credit to Neesham, who bowled such a great last over.

@JSRAW normally I would have ridiculed this theory, but it’s happened with so many player’s in the past and now it does seem to me that being an RCB player is bad for their game. Also do you think that if Virat leaves RCB he may finally be able to win the IPL?, or he’ll always be cursed because of his connection to RCB?.

In today's match between Multan vs Peshawar, Multan have been playing very good and might be close to making 200 runs. They are currently 159/3 in 16.5 overs. Vince is batting on 70 in 49 balls and Maqsood just got out at 36. If Rossouw can hit some couple of sixes then the score could even cross 200+ and will be an interesting to see how does Peshwar bats and how close they can reach.

Yet another big score in this edition of PSL, and this time thanks to James Vince. Sultans made 193 from their 20 overs. Apart from Vince, Rilee Rossouw and Sohaib Maqsood also hit some boundaries in the depth overs to take the total close to 200. Zalmi has started well with Kamran Akmal hitting consecutive boundaries off Shahid Afridi. It looks as if Akmal has decided to take on Afridi. He don't want Afridi to settle down and then create trouble for the batsmen.

Australia started the match off perfectly but Conway and Phillips helped get New Zealand back on track and were able to post a nice total for Australia to chase. Conway was unlucky to not get his century finishing on 99 N/O. Australia's batting was poor which I wasn't expecting, its not that often we see a one sided match when Australia is playing but New Zealand were simply to good on the day.

In the end, New Zealand turned out to be a well balanced side compared to Australia, which is dependent on a few players. The New Zealand domestic cricket system is producing a great number of young players in their 20s, while in Australia the domestic tournaments are dominated by players who are in their 30s. Australia hosts the second largest franchise T20 league in the world, and I expected them to be better in that format.

Australia had a pathetic series against India and i am trying to remember the last time they looked dominant. Without Warner in a T20 team i am not sure what they are playing and New Zealand is in good form for a long time and they now have the best bowlers and explosive batsman and finding new talents as well while Australia need to find some young talents.

Finally we have a big score in this edition of PSL. Quetta Gladiators made a total of 178/6 batting first. The surprise package was Universe Boss Chris Gayle, who made 68 runs (5 fours, 5 sixes). He was supported by Mohammad Nawaz, who hit three sixes. Even the super-economical Rashid Khan went for 30 runs from his 4 overs (it is equivalent to any other bowler going for 60 runs from his 4 overs  Grin).
Even with the high scoring game and Chris Gayle storm they lost the match  Cheesy. I was not expecting that and Lahore won the match easily as they lost only a wicket chasing the score and won with 10 balls to spare. Mohammad Hafeez is still in tremendous form even at 40 years and Lahore will be the team to look out as they have the perfect team and might bet from the next game onwards.

Never really expected a one sided match, especially after Quetta made such a big total. Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Hafeez destroyed the Quetta bowlers. Even experienced bowlers such as Usman Shinwari and Mohammad Hasnain went for more than 10 runs per over. And now Lahore Qalandars are on the top of the points table, having won both their matches.

Part of their struggles were because of the brilliance of Tim Southee's bowling. Giving away just 10 runs in 3 overs, while taking 2 wickets. In a T20 standards, that is exceptional bowling. Australians just couldnt figure out Ish Sodhi's spin who managed to feast on Australian middle and lower order with 4 wickets.

Southee cleaned up the top and middle order, along with Boult. When Sodhi came to bowl, Australia was already down to the tail, so he had it relatively easy. I don't know why the Australians are sticking with failed players such as Matthew Wade. When was the last time this guy made a decent score in international cricket? He was a complete failure during the test series against India. Australian selectors need to give more chances to the younger players. I don't know why they persist with these players who are nearing retirement.

Australia tour of New Zealand starts tomorrow. My bet is on New Zealand but i am expecting a competitive match.
I am also expecting a good performance from New Zealand, simply because they are having the momentum right now.
As expected New Zealand won the match easily as they have a really good bench strength and high class quality bowlers and when the New Zealand openers fell cheaply i thought they are in big trouble but then Devon Conway who is a player i am seeing for the first time played a magnificent innings and he really deserved a century and the Aussie battling line up struggled as expected chasing the total.

Wow!!! What a recovery from New Zealand. After the powerplay, they were at 28/3. After that Devon Conway and Glenn Phillips made such a remarkable recovery. Both these players are being regarded as future stars for New Zealand, and they performed exceptionally well today. New Zealand finished at 184/5 after their 20 overs. I feel bad for Conway, as he missed century by one run (he made 99 not out).
One sided affair after very poor start Kiwis done good job and won this match very easily by 51 runs Aussies completely fail in bowling and batting lost this match without any resistance look like Kiwis going to thrash them in next matches as well because they are in good touch for some time.

Australia is a joke nowadays. Apart from Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith, none of their batsmen are in form right now. And their bowling is in even worse shape with Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins performing poorly for quite some time. Anyway, all these players are not there in the T20 squad, so I don't want to talk about them. The conclusion is very clear. Australia has failed to produce young players who are capable of replacing the 35 plus members of the squad. Maxwell and Stoinis are known as some of the best in T20 format. But they never perform in the international matches.

New Zealand on the other hand, is benefitting tremendously from the influx of South African and Indian players. Their top three performers in this match (Devon Conway, Glenn Phillips and Ish Sodhi) were born outside NZ. Native talent is also booming, with bowlers such as Kyle Jamieson emerging as the world's best.

Finally it was the day for Devon Convoy winning the match and awarded the player of the match. If the partnership hasn't lasted, Australia would've taken advantage and made an easy win. Now the scoring has let New Zealand make a comfortable 53 run win leading the series 1-0. The score from New Zealand is perfect winning total, and the series will be much interesting. New Zealand will have its home ground advantage.

Conway registered a great innings tonight against the Aussies, his hitting ability is such a mesmerizing for eyes. Stunning performance with great consistency at home helps his team NZ to get a comfortable win. Australia have to improve in top order, however their bowling unit is pretty good.
